Video Transcript for Harley-Davidson Trailer Hitch Receiver Cover: The Breakdown

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Harley-Davidson Trailer Hitch Receiver Cover. This is going to slide into your hitch receiver to help keep out dirt and deter rust, so that the next time you go to put your hitch mounted accessory in place, you're not gonna have to worry about a bunch of gunk being in there that's gonna cause it to bind up and be hard to slide in. This is going to fit two different sizes of trailer hitch receivers, so they include these mounting brackets that will allow it to fit into your two inch by two inch trailer hitch receiver, they also include these mounting brackets that will allow it to fit into your inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver. Now, I just have these loosely installed that's why they're wiggling, you can tighten these screws down much more to create a nice firm connection there, and then if you we're to wanna switch it out, you just back those screws out, put these plates in in their place, and you'd be ready for that other hitch receiver size. So depending on which size you need, they've got both available here for you, so that you can fit in both those two inch hitches and inch and quarter hitches.

And then of course, we are gonna have our officially licensed bar-and-shield Harley-Davidson logo. It's got the stylish orange and black and white paint finish. Our shield-shaped face here is going to measure right about, I'm gonna call it just over 5 1/4 of an inch wide by, say 4 1/4 of an inch tall. The face and both bases are constructed of a corrosion resistant aluminum, so they are gonna be very durable for you, you won't have to worry about rust and corrosion, and they're gonna hold up well for a long time to come. Now, one thing to keep in mind, the hitch pins are not included for either of these, so you probably already have a hitch pin for your hitch receiver, but if you don't, we do have lots of options available here at etrailer.com.

We also have locks that will help to secure this into your hitch and make sure that no one can take off with it when you're not around.
