It's a scarlet and gold decal which is outlined in a gold finish, ABS plastic. It has a nice vinyl coating over it to protect the decal from water and chemicals and UV rays. It's a polished stainless steel base, give it a nice, mirror-like shine and helps resist rust and corrosion. It's also one piece riveted construction so there's no assembly required.Now when you do install this, it will require a half inch diameter hitch pinning clip or hitch lock to hold this cover into your receiver. This part is made in the USA and, again, the application is for an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter trailer hitch receivers and then a measurement on the face of the hitch cover itself is a four inch diameter. But that should do it on the review for the stainless steel US Marine Corps one and a quarter inch trailer receiver cover with the gold trim.

The cover really dresses up the back hitch and makes a huge improvement on aesthetics.

One wonders why all covers made for 1 1/4" with and adapter for 2" so there would be no need for 2 sizes. I attached it to my E Trailer hitch on my Corvette. Yes a tow hitch on a Corvette for bike rack.

Fits great. I was concerned that it might be too large thereby blocking my view on my backup cam but it was just the right size. Looks good…
I had a cheap rubber cover but it either blew off in the wash or got stolen. With a locking pin this one should stay put. Makes a nice little enhancement to my vehicle and shows pride in having served our country. Glad it arrived in time for display this "Veterans Day".

Excellent quality. Looks like new one-year later. Highly recommended. You can see in photo the mirror like shine as it reflects the concrete below and the grass beside my driveway. Looks cool.
