Today we're going to be taking a look at the Texas Tech crystal two-inch hitch cover from AMG. The hitch cover allows you to show your school pride, it's going to add a clean, finished look to your hitch, and it's going to help keep dirt and grime out of the receivers above your hitch. The hitch cover's made from a steel construction, it's going to feature a really nice black powder coat finish, which is going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. Here at the front we're going to have the crystal-embedded emblem. It's going to feature a nice rust-proof and fade-proof design. The product is American made. Here on the backside it's going to have a foam gasket.
That goes around the area that slides into the receiver tip of your hitch. That's really going to help reduce rattling between the hitch and the hitch cover. This is an officially licensed product. The hitch cover does require a hitch pinning clip or a hitch lock for complete installation. Those items are sold separately, but if you're interested in one, you can find them right here at etrailer.com.
The pinhole and the hitch cover will accept a standard 5/8-inch diameter pin. A few measurements to go over with you real quick. Here at the hitch cover face it's going to give us an overall width of about five inches with an overall height of pretty close to 3 1/2 inches. The distance that we have from the back of the foam pad to the center of the hitch pinhole is going to measure pretty close to 2 1/2 inches. This is designed for a 2-inch by 2-inch hitch. Very simple installation, just slide it into the receiver tube then secure it with a hitch pin and clip or hitch clock. That's going to be it for today's look at the Texas Tech crystal two-inch hitch cover from AMG..
