Today we're going to be taking a look at the Baylor Bears Crystal 2 Inch Hitch Cover from AMG. This hitch cover is going to allow you to display your school spirit. It's going to add a clean finished look to your vehicle, and it's going to help keep dirt and grime out of the receiver tube of your hitch. The hitch cover is going to be made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a really nice black patina 00:00:18 coat finish on it. It's going to resist rust and corrosion really well.
Here on the front, we're going to have the crystal embedded, chrome plated Baylor University emblem. That's going to feature a rust-proof and fade-proof design, and the product is going to be made right here in the USA. Here on the backside, it's going to feature a foam gasket, that's really going to help reduce rattling between the hitch and the hitch cover. This is an officially licensed product. The hitch cover does require a hitch pin and clip, or a hitch lock to get it secured and installed into the hitch, those items are sold separately. The pinhole on this unit will accept the standard 5 inch diameter pin. Few measurements to go over with real quick: The overall width, here at the face, is going to measure about 5 inches, overall height is going to measure about 3.5 inches, and then the distance that we have from the back of the foam pad to the center of the hitch pin hole is going to measure about 2.5 inches. Again, this is designed for a 2 inch by 2 inch hitch, very simple installation. All you have to do is slide it in the receiver tube of your hitch, when your pinholes line up, just install your hitch pinning clip, or your hitch lock to get it secured. Did a lot of research on this product and it came through with flying colors. I ordered this product and one other from another site. This cover was superior in thickness size and chrome. Also the pin opening is large enough for standard 4" pins. If you are considering this product I suggest you don't wait. As for the company, great service. I was contacted shortly after the purchase, tracked the item and was contact about satisfaction after delivery. Outstanding. Will not return item but with their attention to detail I am sure if there were anything of issue the company would be on top of it. Thank you I will be ordering from you again.

Before I took it out of the box, I could tell that this was a high quality product. The colors are bright and the fit is perfect. The foam seal to keep water out of the hitch was an unexpected nice touch. It looks great on my truck.
Be advised, it does not come with any kind of retaining device, you will need a hitch pin to keep it in place. I purchased a locking pin because something as nice as this would probably get stolen.

For the price I expected better quality. The powder coating seems to be okay. However, there are pits in the chrome plating of the USAF logo. The pits are not noticeable at a distance, so I didn't return it. Now, as an afterthought, I'm hoping it doesn't rust. Apparently there's not a standard distance to the pin hole in 2" receivers. I had to add 1/2 inch of gasket material in addition to the gasket provided to stabilize the cover in my receiver.

Thanks for your message and following up a year later! I have purchased two of these hitch covers for both of our cars. I'll attach pictures. I believe the first one I bought was 2 years ago and the second was a year ago. The two year old cover has shown a great deal of rust and deterioration over those two years. The other one is in much better shape but I would expect the same to happen over this next year.
I do live in Pittsburgh, a very rainy and humid climate for most of the year. Obviously in winter months, we get a lot of snow and ice with the roadways covered with salt. I'm sure those factors contribute to the rusting of this product.
I'll be happy to log in and make a review post similar to above if you would like me to. I have been a happy customer of yours with a few of these similar products.

This was not checked for quality prior to shipping from the manufactor or the seller. My logo is off center at the bottomand over to the passenager side. Also my logo is crooked tilting up toward the passenager side. Tried calling customer service but the line has not been manned since I recieved this product. Overall a disappointing experience.
