This hitch-mounted cargo carrier lets you haul your gear on the back of your Jeep, ATV, or UTV, with or without a rear-mounted spare tire. The basket is also elevated 11" over the shank for improved ground clearance over steep and uneven terrain. It also has raised side rails to keep your gear in place and provide tie-down points and a stop collar that automatically aligns the pin holes on the carrier and your hitch for a quick installation every time you use it.
The carrier's shank is angled 65-degrees to provide an 11" rise that improves ground clearance over steep and uneven terrain. It also elevates your cargo, making it easier to load and unload. This extra clearance makes it the perfect cargo carrier for ATVs, UTVs, Jeeps, and other vehicles with a rear-mounted spare tire.
Raised rails around the front and sides of the carrier help keep your cargo in place. The rails also provide anchor points for a cargo net, ratchet straps, or other tie-downs (all sold separately). The back of the carrier is open to accommodate an ATV's rear rack or a UTV's bumper.
The stop collar automatically aligns the pin holes on the shank and your hitch every time you install the carrier. It prevents you from having to get on your hands and knees to check for pinhole alignment. It's quick and easy to install, just slide the collar onto the shank, insert the carrier into your hitch, align the pin holes, slide the collar up against your hitch, and tighten down the bolt with included hand knobs. Once it's set up you never have to adjust it again.
An anti-rattle, threaded hitch pin is included for securing the carrier to your hitch receiver. Align the hole in the shank with the hole in your vehicle's hitch, screw the pin into the hole, and secure it with the clip. This will reduce noise and movement of the carrier in your hitch.

Raised shank elevates the platform for clearance over steep and uneven terrain.Exactly what I hoped it would be. Fits perfect on the minivan. Rise of rack works great. Door opens with nothing on the rack and you can still load the van with little interference. Very sturdy and solid. The entire rack clears the rear bumper. I didnt get a picture of the clearance, but no issues there. I did have to make my own tie down point as the square frame of the rack didnt marry up with my rounded hooks. That’s the only reason it is one star short of five. However,I’m sure there are tie owns that would fit better.
Excellent quality, easy to assemble. Used it on a 2000-mile trip with a heavy load. Every time I stopped, I checked my load and found carrier not loose in receiver hitch and load very stable. This will be great when I go camping. It will handle my gear very nicely.
Great product. Very sturdy, yet light weight. Works great to haul extra cargo while off-road as it’s height doesn’t sacrifice clearance.
Carrier arrived quickly and was packaged very well. I will be using it to go overlanding and intend to carry fuel cans and recovery tracks. This design will work better than standard baskets as it provides the extra ground clearance and won't change the departure angle. I especially like the anti-rattle hitch bolt.
Michael - 11/14/2020Very solid and easy to put together. The only downside is the bolt is about a half inch too short. I have a ‘22 Tacoma and the bolt is not long enough to go through the factory hitch receiver. I’ll have to find one at the hardware store
Very sturdy as well as being a great value, this is listed as an “off road” carrier. Yet, it is much more. I like the elevated position that gets the carrier as well as the loaded gear well above the vehicle exhaust. The rear cargo door can be fully opened and closed with the carrier installed. Once the carrier is loaded with gear though, one will not be able to open this door. The rear glass door, however, can be opened if needed.
I like how it's sits up high. It does hide the license plate, though. Good quality product. I wish my foot sensor worked with the etrailer hitch like they said it would.
This off road carrier is very easy to assemble. My main reason for purchase was/is to carry propane & gas needed for camp stove, lanterns and generator. Smart for my 1950 Ford F-1 pickup with custom camper shell because I have easy access: (a) to my truck bed and camper shell; and (b) to my spare tire - much more so than had I purchased a non-raised carrier. Plus I won't bottom out. My F-1 is now fully packed & rigged - not only for camping, but also in the event I need quick departure from the fire-prone forest where I live.
Haven’t used it yet but after throwing it on this thing is exactly what I wanted for my Subaru crosstrek! I have a after marker tire carrier which works perfect with the rack. Super excited to use it and have more space inside of the car
Fast shipping. Good customer service, although i did not have to contact them, they kept me informed if my order status. Camping trip with 3 adults and now we won’t be as cramped!! Looks good on the Jeep. Perfect size. So many cargo racks are bigger than what I wanted. Will need hitch extension when spare tire is mounted. I like that the rack is lightweight - makes it easier to get on and off and store.
I love this rack for my camper van. Highly professional company to do business with. The product arrived promptly, well packaged and easy to put together and install on the van. I like the high clearance as it is above my lights and number plate. I also do not have to worry about the rack hitting the ground as I go over bumps. There is a long overhang from the rear wheels to the back of the van so this can be an issue.
Bolts together easily. I think mine may have got bent in shipping. You can see that the left side is not level and sags just a bit. Overall I’m happy though!
The cargo carrier arrived promptly and in excellent condition. Assembly was very easy. I got this this one specifically to use behind an RV trailer because it sits nice and high and out of the way at campsites. It does and is the perfect size for my grey water tote.

Initial impression- Heavy duty. Made in China. Welds not great. Bolt holes lined up and bolts came with lock nuts. The clamp on stop for the hitch pin hole is cool.
So far so good on this rack. I would HIGHLY recommend getting the elevated hitch rack on the newer Rav4's if you are going do any kind of offroading or hilly driving. The rack still scraped the ground a couple times on my first trip on some forest roads but I really like it so far. Good construction and it is really solid.
Really like this off-road light-medium duty cargo rack. Use it on a vineyard garden tractor to carry work items and 27 gallon sprayer. Only wish they had incorporated some type of tie down system to secure items. The bars are good but things do slide around even with straps.
I am a hunter and this storage rack fits my Polaris Ranger very well. It is made of heavy duty metal and will hold extra stuff. I love it.

This cargo rack is perfect for the back of my Kia Sorento. It is very sturdy. Not too big, just enough to carry some extra items that won't fit in the way back. The corners are rounded, which is nice in case you bash your leg into the rack while you are accessing the back of the vehicle. I really like how this rack is elevated. It makes it easier to load and unload, and it keeps my stuff a little more protected from road junk than the racks that are set lower to the ground. And I can still open the rear hatch. All in all, this is a great cargo rack. Highly recommend.

I would give a 5+ if I could. The original carrier came with a defect. eTrailer cannibalized another carrier and sent me a new part no questions asked. Shipping outstanding, customer service second to none, products excellent. I am a repeat. repeat customer.
I ordered this item and it left the middle of the USA and arrived in Eastern Canada in two weeks. It was shipped the same day as it was ordered. I have not used this yet as it is for my ATV, however I assembled it and it is sturdy. It appears it should hold up well. If you are looking for a carrier for the rear hitch of your ATV, this could be the one for you.
The cargo carrier was what I expected and will meet my needs. Assembly was relatively easy. The only difficulty was missing the four M10 locknuts needed to mount the left and right frames to the main arm. A trip to the hardware store solved this problem. Looking forward to using the carrier here soon.
