Thule T2 Pro

The Thule T2 Pro XTS platform-style bike rack lets you carry 2 bikes using your vehicle's hitch. It is designed to carry bicycles of varying sizes and styles, and it can hold bikes with fat tires up to 5" wide. The bike trays adjust to optimize bike spacing and reduce bike-to-bike contact. The ratcheting arms and wheel trays secure your bikes by the wheels so there's no frame contact. The rack installs easily without the need of tools with the AutoAttach system. And the front-mounted HitchSwitch lever allows the rack to easily tilt down with bikes loaded for easy access to your vehicle's rear cargo area and fold up when not in use. Finally, the rack includes One-Key System lock cylinders to secure your bikes to the rack and the rack to your vehicle.

Wheel-Mount Design for Easy Bike Loading

Thule T2 Pro hook

The rack allows you to quickly and easily load and carry 2 bicycles on the back of your vehicle. The ratcheting arms securely hold your bikes by the front wheels so there's no frame contact. Simply push the button on the hook and slide it firmly into place over your front wheel.

The wheel hook also has a cutout on the side so it won't interfere with fat bike suspensions.

Sliding Rear-Wheel Cradles

Thule T2 Pro sliding cradles

The sliding rear-wheel cradles allow the rack to accommodate bikes with wheelbases up to 50-1/2" long, and they accommodate tires up to 5" wide. The cradles include ratcheting, rubber straps to hold your bikes' rear wheels securely in place on the tray.

Thule T2 Pro sliding cradles

For fat bikes, the strap needs to be removed from the bottom of the cradle and re-routed up through the side. This increases the usable length of the strap to secure wider tires.

Adjustable Bike Trays

Thule T2 Pro wheel trays

The front and back bike trays adjust 3" side-to-side to ensure you have enough space when loading your bikes. Just loosen the 4 bolts where the tray attaches to the bottom of the rack, slide the trays left or right to achieve the desired spacing, and then tighten the bolts. This will prevent your bikes' handlebars from becoming tangled, and it eliminates the fear of bike-to-bike contact during transport.

Front-Mounted HitchSwitch for Easy Tilting

Thule T2 Pro tilt down

The front-mounted HitchSwitch lever allows one person to easily tilt the T2 Pro XTS. The rack tilts down with or without bikes loaded for convenient access to your vehicle's rear cargo area.

Thule T2 Pro tilt up

The lever also lets you fold the rack up for storage when you're not transporting a bike. This is great for parking in places where space is limited such as a parking garage.

Easy Installation with AutoAttach System

Thule T2 Pro installation

The T2 Pro XTS installs quickly and easily with the AutoAttach system. Simply open the Auto Pin, slide the shank into your receiver, and close the pin so it slides through the pin hole and shank.

Once installed, turn the hand knob underneath the rack to tighten the shank in your receiver. This will reduce noise and movement while the rack is installed.

Complete Security

Thule T2 Protilt down

The rack comes with One-Key System lock cylinders to secure your bikes to the rack and the rack to your vehicle. Integrated cable locks extend from the ends of the wheel hooks and wrap around your bikes' frames to lock them to the rack.

Thule T2 Pro locking system knob

The hand knob also comes with a lock cylinder to keep the rack from being removed from your hitch. One-Key System cylinders can be swapped out to make all of your Thule gear keyed alike.

Optional 2-Bike Add-On

Thule T2 Pr0 add on

There is a 2-bike add-on available (TH9036XTS - sold separately) for the T2 Pro XTS that will allow you convert it from a 2-bike carrier to a 4-bike carrier. To install the add-on, simply remove the HitchSwitch lever from the end of the T2 Pro XTS, slide the add-on's shank into the hole on the bike rack, secure the shank with the bolts that come with the add-on, and reattach the HitchSwitch lever.

Simply said: I love it! After a car accident damaged the 1st Thule bike rack I purchased through eTrailer I bought this one. The videos on their website to help choose are informative and helpful. I have a Jeep and keep it installed. It is easy to let down and load by bikes which is easy on my back. I love the ability to tilt it with my bikes loaded to open the rear hatch/door. My Jeep is silver and the silver bike rack is sooo cute!! 757034

Online vedios it looked wonderful, outstanding, the ultimate bike rack, with so many neat and wonderful features, fold down handle, no tool install, integrated locks, ect, ect, . In the flesh, its is all that.......EXCEPT IT MUST WEIGH 6000 lbs. !. Maybe King Kong could lift it and install it, but it going to take two people unless your Hercules. Great if you want to put on the vehicle and leave it on for years,......too heavy for pratcical on off from garage to vehicle. 583799

The Thule T2 Pro XTS 2 Bike Platform Rack part # TH9034XTS weighs 52 lbs. If you are looking for a lighter weight platform bike rack I recommend the Kuat Transfer 2 Bike Platform Rack part # TS02G
Kuat Transfer 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Tilting - Gray
. The kuat bike rack weighs 37 lbs.

I just finished the installation of my new bike rack, and will take it for a long ride starting tomorrow (will provide my feedback once I am back). I just have one question: I have an extra key ; looks like an uncut key, and I cannot find any use for it. Any insights here? I do have the three locks and each one came with a key (different key number from the extra one). Not a real issue - just curious! 612952

he key blank you received is called a change key. Its used to remove the lock core if you ever wanted to change the locks. With the lock unlocked, youd the change key, and twist and pull. The core would come out. If you use the provided link, you can see how the key works.

Our second Thule T2, one 1 1/4", this one 2". After various Yakima and Thule hitch receiver bike racks, this beats them all. Ease of attachment to car, ease of mounting bikes, ability to lock rack and bikes, nothing else compares. etrailer purchase was quick and easy, as usual. 426632

This hitch was installed on my 2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i Limited. The website is fantastic and makes finding the correct products for your vehicle very easy. The hitch arrived in only a few days and came complete with all the necessary installation accessories. The hitch comes with fish wire for the frame bolts so you don't need to fuss with buying fish wire. Some reviews stated that you can go in from the inside of the vehicle but this is totally unnecessary and more work. Just follow the instructions, with exception of the muffler heat shield. You can drill 1/2" holes through the heat shield in the dimpled areas corresponding to where the instructions tell you to cut out the heat shield (see some of the other reviews for more detail on this). These holes allow you to securely fasten the heat shield over the hitch using the hitch bolts. Make sure you have a torque wrench and an 11/16" deep socket to tighten the frame bolts. I would also recommend removing the muffler which is very simple. Lube the muffler mounts with WD-40 to facilitate the removal of the muffler. You will save at least $300 installing this yourself. 485073

Two thoughts to pass along: > e-trailer is an excellent, customer centric, organization. The staff are product knowledgeable, friendly - and always available. > Product ship date means exactly that - the predicted date, will be the actual date > The Thule platform bike rack is great (Thule products tend to be so). Do note, it is heavy, and requires a great deal of storage space. I have used a Thule 4-bike hanging-style rack for years. The weight of which is a small fraction of the platform rack, and the storage space requirement is but a small fraction of that required by the platform rack. Would I buy through e-Trailer again - absolutely. Would I buy a Thule product again - absolutely. As for the platform rack - not so sure. It is certainly heavy, and is a space consuming beast. 894797

- TH9034XTS

Would be really great if there was a way to lower the rack rows that hold the bike to less than a foot from the ground, would make it much easier to load bike, especially an e-bike. 894595

- TH9034XTS

Great bike rack, set it up and used it immediately. First thing, easy assembly, just a few parts and a small handful of screws puts it together. The tools needed to assemble the bike rack come with it, 2 allen wrenches. The rack fits the 2" hitch nicely, and tightens into place to keep it from wobbling while driving. I like the fact that the hitch mechanism has a key so that it can be locked onto the hitch, to prevent theft. Two bikes fit nicely, the bikes are easy to put on quickly and latch into place easily. I like the integrated cables that can be used to lock the bikes. I also like that when not in use the rack tilts up and out of the way. When I do have bikes on the rack I like that it tilts back so I can open my vehicles hatch. 854829

Awesome service and great bike rack 853340

- TH9034XTS

The rack can be a little difficult to install, mainly due to its weight. Much easier if you have someone help you guide it into the hitch receiver. I've used it for several 600 mile trips, and many local trips, hauling 2 sixty pound ebikes. It is very sturdy, and easy to mount the bikes on the rack. The locking cable and hitch are nice. 800661

Watch a video on assembly as instruction manual is vague. Easy assembly and loading bikes are simple . E trailer online experience was excellent 800459

- TH9034XTS

I have used Thule for my rack needs for over 25 years because of their strength and reliability. This rack is no different. Easy to take off on on my car and super easy to mount my bikes. The tilt function works great and allows me to access my tailgate with the bikes still on the rack. The only downside is the weight of the rack when installing/removing. However, I would rather have strong, reliable, heavy rack over one that would do its job. 696849

Works perfectly for my two Trek Fuels on a BMW X5-50. The bike rack is pretty heavy (need some effort to carry) but it also makes it much more stable while driving. Overall, I’m very happy with it. 640934

Still very happy. About 10 trips more hope would use it more in the future when we are free to roam again.

I have not had a chance to use the bike rack yet. I have a hard time putting things together and this was so easy for me. Great instructions. I love how it doesnt wobble in my hitch at all. Much better made than the cheap ones we have. Only think I hope is that the plastic pieces hold up. Thank you for the ease of putting on the hitch and twisting the knob to lock it in. I love the pull handle to raise and lower the rack. I also bought the addition 2 rack, to make it a 4. Excited to put that together. Thank you etrailer for your great videos that helped me pick this awesome rack out. 345102

Using a 2-1/2-inch to 2-inch hitch reducer sleeve like # 58102, # BWRHXA2182 or # DTADP35 will allow a 2-inch accessory to fit in your 2-1/2-inch hitch but these Thule and Yakima bike racks you mentioned include their own anti-rattle locks that will not fit the 2-1/2-inch hitch tube. There is another solution to give you the swing-away feature you need for camper access. For cruiser bikes, like your Electra Hawaii 3 Bike, you will need to use a platform rack like the Swagman XTC-2, # S64670....

  • Height of Thule T2 Pro and Kuat NV and NV 2.0 from Trailer Hitch to Highest Point when Tilted
On the Kuat NV if you have the rack tilted down and the arms folded down then it measures 11-7/8 inches from the center of the receiver opening to the highest part of the rack. When not tilted down that same measurement (to the same spot on the bike rack) is 11-1/4 inches. On the Thule T2 Pro # TH9034XTS I took the same measurement myself and it measured 13-1/2 inches from the center of the receiver opening to the highest point with the bike rack tilted down. There is a new version...

  • Will Thule T2 Bike Rack Fit and Clear Past Rear Spare of Jeep Wrangler Unlimited MOAB
In order to determine if the Thule T2 Pro XTS 2 Bike Platform Rack # TH9034XTS that you referenced is going to fit with and clear the rear spare at the rear of your 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited MOAB you need to take one measurement. You need to measure the distance from the hitch pin hole out to the furthest point out on the rear spare. If that distance is less than 7 inches the rack will fit easily and bikes will clear the spare. If it's also less than 5 inches the rack can also be folded...

  • Could Thule T2 Pro Fit Lazy Daze RV and Clear Rear Spare
You'll have to measure to be sure if the Thule T2 Pro XT part # TH9034XTS has the clearance to fit your Lazy Daze RV. This rack has a distance of 7 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest portion of the rack that might interfere with the spare covers so you'd need to measure from your hitch pin hole out to furthest point out on spare and if it's less than 7 inches this will fit and clear. If you don't have the clearance let me know what clearance you do have and I'll...

  • Thule T2 Pro Compatibility with a 2015 Ram ProMaster 1500
Although we have not tested the Thule T2 Pro # TH9034XTS on a 2015 Ram ProMaster 1500 for rear door clearance, I went out and measured that from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the nearest sliding tray when tilted down is about 20 inches. This is with the sliding tray adjusted so that it is right next to the pivoting section of the bike rack. You can use this to check your clearance distance for your ProMaster but you will most likely need a hitch extender. A...

  • Is the Thule T2 Pro XT Compatible With the Spare Tire on a 2004 Honda CR-V
To find out if the Thule T2 Pro XTS # TH9034XTS will fit on your 2004 Honda CR-V with a spare tire you will need to measure from the center of you hitch pin hole to the edge of your bumper. If this measurement is less than 7 inches then the T2 Pro XTS will fit. Since you have the swinging rear door instead of the one that lifts up you will not have full access to your rear cargo area with this bike rack installed. You might be able to partially open your rear door. What I recommend...

  • 2 or 4 Bike Rack Designed for RV Use on Tiffin Allegro 36LA
At the rear of a trailer or RV the ride quality is very rough when compared to the ride quality at the rear of a passenger vehicle. Reason being the suspension isn't as sophisticated and there is a longer distance between the rear axle and the rear of the trailer which exaggerates the movement of the trailer when hitting bumps. Because of that only a few bike racks were designed to be reinforced enough for that type of use. The Thule racks are not rated for RV use. The best option for...
