Thule EasyFold XT

The EasyFold XT platform-style rack is specifically designed to reduce the burden of transporting e-bikes, free-ride bikes, downhill MTBs, and other heavy bikes. It includes a ramp that lets you easily roll your bikes on and off the rack without lifting. The rack folds up for compact storage and has an integrated handle and wheels that make it easy to roll to and from your vehicle. It has independently adjustable arms with padded clamps that grip your bikes by the frames. You can tilt the rack with bikes loaded for access to your vehicle's rear cargo area. It also includes locks that secure your bikes to the rack and the rack to your vehicle.

Folding Ramp

Thule EasyFold XT

A folding, aluminum ramp is included so you can roll your bikes on and off the rack- no heavy lifting required. The ramp extends 36" to create an angle small enough that you can roll your bikes up and down it with ease. There is also an extra-long, 53" ramp (sold separately) available for use when your EasyFold XT is installed on an SUV, van or other tall vehicle.

Thule EasyFold XT

The ramp fits into grooves at the end of each wheel tray.

Thule EasyFold XT

When you aren't using the ramp you can fold it up and store it onboard the rack.

Folds for Easy Transport and Compact Storage

Thule EasyFold XTThule EasyFold XT

The EasyFold XT folds for easy transport and compact storage. The wheel tray folds in half and there is a small lever under the base of the rack that lets you fold up the shank.

Thule EasyFold XT

It has an integrated handle and wheels that make the rack easy to roll to and from your vehicle.

Adjustable Arms with Frame Clamps

Thule EasyFold XT

The EasyFold XT's dual arms are detachable so you can reposition them anywhere along the upright tube to fit bikes of any frame style.

Thule EasyFold XT

Clamps with built-in Road Dampening Technology (RDT) pads grab your bikes by the top tubes or downtubes to ensure safe transport with minimal movement and noise. The clamps can be rotated to grab bike frames with angled downtubes. The clamps include AcuTight knobs that click when they are tight around your bike frames. This prevents you from damaging your bike by over-tightening the knobs.

Sturdy, Molded Wheel Trays

Thule EasyFold XT

The EasyFold XT's molded wheel trays can carry e-bikes, downhill MTBs, and most other heavy bikes. The top half of the wheel trays are made of durable, weather-resistant ABS plastic. The anodized aluminum bottom half provides a rigid outer shell without adding much weight to the rack.

Thule EasyFold XT

Ratcheting wheel straps with quick-release levers let you secure your bike's wheels to the tray. An adapter kit (sold separately) converts the wheel cradle sets for use with your fat bike tires.

Tilting Design

Thule EasyFold XT

The EasyFold XT tilts forward with bikes loaded for convenient access to your vehicle's rear cargo area. To tilt the rack, just press the handle at the front of the wheel tray. To return it to the upright position, push the rack back toward the base until it locks into position with an audible click.

Tool-Free Installation

Thule EasyFold XT

The knob on the side of the shank lets you quickly and easily install the rack. Just slide the shank into your hitch and turn the knob until snug. The knob deploys an anti-rattle wedge in the shank to help take play out of the hitch connection. It also sets the integrated SnugTite hitch pin into place, securing the rack to your receiver.

Complete Security for Bikes and Rack

Thule EasyFold XT

The EasyFold XT includes One-Key System locks to secure your bikes to the rack and the rack to your vehicle. Locks on each frame clamp knob secure your bikes to the rack.

Thule EasyFold XT

The lock on the hand knob secures the rack to your vehicle. The hand knob will spin freely when locked so a would-be thief can't operate the knob to remove the rack from your hitch. The locks are keyed alike so you can use the same keys for all of the locks. Additional One-Key System locks (sold separately) let you make all of your Thule products keyed alike.

Hitch Compatibility

Thule Apex XT 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack 1-1/4

The rack works with both 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. To use it in a 1-1/4" hitch, simply remove the adapter with the included Allen key.

Works great. Easy to attach and load with or without the ramp. Plenty of distance to mounted spare tire on the Rav4 and the door still swings open far enough to get in and out of back with rack tipped out. Very happy with how fast and easy it is to mount and dismount the bikes. 764097

This is the answer to trailering e-bikes! Just unpacked box and installed to car and loaded bikes. Could not have been any easier. Everything that could have been engineered to make it easy to use had been done. Just had to line up clamps on bar to fit the shape of the bikes. Our other bike rack could not handle the weight of our e-bikes. Live that you can tilt rack and access the back of the car! Can’t wait to hit the trails with our bikes 784395

The Thule Easy Fold bike rack came on time. It was easy to set up and put on our truck though it is a bit heavy. I was delighted to see they had thought to put wheels on the bottom for moving without having to carry it to the vehicle and no rattling when driving! Very sturdy and folds nicely away. It can be tricky to take off the hitch and requires a bit of lifting to loosen and slide out. The bike ramp is difficult to get to and we found it was just easier to just lift our bikes onto the platform. Definitely great for our electric bikes. 728013

Although I have not had a chance to transport my 65 pound ebike on this excellent hitch mounted bike carrier, the product looks to be perfect for my needs. The box arrived in great shape on the delivery date promised. The only negative was both of the plastic red reflectors were popped off of the rack and stuck on the inside of the shipping carton. I replaced them, but if they keep falling off, I’ll be back to etrailer for replacement reflectors. 747611

Came well packaged. Fit back of my odyssey with a 2 inch hitch. Held my two Rad City step throughs very well. A little awkward mounting the bikes with the petals interfering but that’s on me. So far very impressed with unit. Easy to detach from car so will probably just throw it in the back of the van while biking. 729318

Got this to haul two fat-tire Ebikes. It is about the only model available that will carry two 63lb bikes. One of the reflectors fell off the first time I used it, but etrailer sent out a replacement. Nice that it adjusts to grip bikes that do not have a horizontal crossbar. Yes, it is expensive but it does work great. Two friends have also purchased this after seeing mine. 735737

Very pleased with this bike rack for my electric bike. I have used it behind my 2012 Ford Explorer and Motor-home. My bike is a fat Tire so I ordered the longer wheel straps and the longer ramp. Straps work excellent. I am 71 and the ramp is two narrow for fat tire bikes and are hard to keep bike on them for loading or unloading. I ended up making my own ramp by using a pet ramp and attaching ends that fit into both ramp slots of the carrier. Now it's a breeze to load and unload the bike without any help from others. This is a great carrier and I would recommend it to anyone with electric bikes 775228

Found the bike carrier with ramp to be extremely easy to use, it is light maneuverable & storable. I have a four-wheel-drive full-size Chevy Silverado pick up with a Lance 8.5 over the cab camper. Using a 7 inch hitch extension, I’m able to still enter the camper with the carrier in the down position, as shown in the picture. With the camper on the truck it’s easy to get my Mt. bike And my wife’s E bike on & off the carrier with the ramp. But with the camper off the truck the ramp is almost straight up and down, the truck is not low enough, and the ramp is not long enough. So I have to put a 10” step bench underneath the ramp so that I can get the bikes on and off using the ramp. I also purchased the Swagman RV horizontal 2 bike bag. The problem with the bike bag is that the little hole that slips through the hitch receiver is not big enough to go over the wheels of the carrier. So you must cut a hole big enough (10”x12”) to expose where the ramp is stored and the carrier latch points are exposed, so that the carrier will snap back & lock in the upright position. Then the bag will fit two bikes with this bike carrier. 655214

This has turned out to be an excellent choice to carry an Electra eBike and another bike. We needed a carrier with capacity to safely move a 50+ pound eBike and found several candidates. Although this is the most expensive, after a bit of deliberation and some contact with etrailer, we selected this one. The clamps and straps do not interfere with eBike bike fenders. Some other carriers have a different restraining method. The capability to locate the clamps on nearly any spot of the vertical bar makes it great for carrying any combination of the bikes we own. It is extremely easy to roll it out of the garage and set it up. Without hurrying, I can get it installed and two bikes on it strapped and clamped and ready to go in less than 15 minutes. Installing and using the carrier is exactly as it is shown in the videos. Very simple and very secure when installed. I have tried the ramp just to see how it works and I think it is solid enough to move any eBike. Presently we don't need to use it, but one day we will and I think this rack is solid enough we will still be using it. Being able to mount the vehicle license plate on the carrier is a nice feature. Plate is not obscured by the bikes. I have never been stopped for that when using any other carrier, but now there won't be a reason! I was initially concerned about the distance the plastic parts of the carrier would be from the exhaust tips on our 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.0T. A few years back I melted a tarp on a cargo carrier while on a trip and did not want to melt an expensive bike carrier. I checked a bunch of measurements I could find online with retailers and the mfg. I emailed etrailer.com to find out what I did not know. Conner L was quick to answer my dimension questions and created an answer page; great service and I appreciated that. John Huff followed up to ensure I got what I was looking for. I think there is plenty of clearance, about 16 inches horizontally, and the carrier is nearly 3 inches above the exhaust tips. Photos attached. We have done plenty of local trips and not noticed any affect from the exhaust. When the carrier arrived it was well packed. One minor problem was the reflectors seemed to have fallen out of their receptacles and got stuck to the plastic bag at the bottom of the box containing the documentation. Maybe due to being in hot shipping trucks this summer. I emailed etrailer and got several responses from folks. They took my problems seriously and sought to resolve it. Great service. I was concerned the double stick tape was not tacky and no longer any good- they sent me a new set of reflectors right away. Could not ask for better service from Carole, Jesse, Nicole, and Korren. Quality products and quality service made me a very happy customer. Although this seems like it is an expensive carrier, it is very well designed and works like a dream. Because it is so easy to use, I use it a lot more than my previous carrier. It seems like it will provide long term value in dependability and ease of use. 680525

First the negatives: if you have a aftermarket mid-drive electric beach cruisers to load using the ramp you'll run into a bit of a problem. When loading the first one you'll bottom out mid way up the ramp, meaning the motor hits and you'll need to lift up the back end of the bike to get it up there. Then you'll need to lean the bike toward yourself to get the pedals past the upright black bar that the holders are attached to, this is a bit awkward due to the weight of the bike, the angle and height you are working at. You are probably better off just lifting this style of bike onto the carrier. When loading the second bike you can forget about using the ramp all together due to how narrow the placement is on the carrier between the two bikes. To me this carrier appears to have been designed for lightweight road bikes that have narrow profiles. One of my cruisers has fat 3.5 inch tires. Before purchasing the carrier I did ask one of the experts on the site if I would be required to purchase the extra long tire straps. He said "NO" and that the carrier could accommodate tires up to 4-11/16, well that question has since been modified to read "YES" you do need to purchase the extra long straps. Some positives: The ability to roll the carrier to the car is a nice feature. The way it screws to the hitch and it's ability to lock to the hitch is a plus. The bike clamps feel very secure and gives a peace of mind that your bikes are firmly in place and not going anywhere, even when parked thanks to the locking feature of the clamp. A decent carrier with some flaws. 543216

After receiving the platform, I was able to install it and load my bike (55 lbs.) all by myself. See attached photo. Note: I am 66 yrs old, 5'2", and 95 lbs. Because of this excellent product's features, I increased my independence in my travels. The instruction book was only pictures, but I called my CSR at etrailers and he answered my questions. What a fabulous company. They are all about customer service and satisfaction. Many thanks, guys. 582302

It took three months to receive the order. It was not etrailer's fault but a periodic email may have helped as the delivery date kept moving out further. The box fell apart as it was brought into the house, again not the fault of etrailer. The rack is heavier than expected. We had to watch a youtube video to install it onto the hitch. 897757

The rack is great. Took away one star because I had to remove The safety latch so it would fit into the factory hitch on my 2020 Subaru Outback XT without cutting the bumper fascia. Fits two Magnum Premium folding bikes perfectly. The ramp works well do no heavy lifting. Bikes seem very secure. 896602

Holds our two RAD Power bikes, 50 lbs each with no problems. Some movement up and down seems like there are no adjustments to take up the slack or play. Side to side movement is tight. 884247

The rack is fantastic: easy to unpack, easy to mount (2" hitch on a Lexus RX 350), easy to use. Bike loading and fastening was a breeze, with no tools needed. I'm super satisfied with the product. The only negative was that it took several months to get the product from when I ordered to when it was delivered; I believe this was a function of Covid and so don't hold it against etrailer - just wished they had communicated a bit better. 880555

We like the Thule Easy Fold Bike Rack. It holds our two Veego Electric Bikes well. It is also very easy to put on the car and to attach the bikes securely. The only problem is that the straps that secure the bottom of the tires to the platform are too short for our bike tires. We can attach one strap, but must add another strap of our own to secure the second tire. This is the case for both bikes. 880382

We have one ebike and I can lift in on without the ramps provided so don't use them. My road bike can be put on easily. They are very secure and I like the locking system. We carry the key on the car key ring so it is always right there. One of our vehicles hitch has 2 inch opening and other has the smaller one. We have only used the 1 and 1/4 one but are glad that it is versatile. I highly recommend this ebike platform. We intend to get another ebike soon so are ready. The light weight of the rack is a positive. We have had much heavier racks. Watch the videos they are very helpfull. 866265

I love our new rack! Thule is amazing with their design. I have an ebike and it’s just too heavy for me to lift and place on a rack. Thule has designed a rack with a ramp. I have NO problem rolling my 58 pound bike up the ramp and into the saddles easy to secure the bike and there is no wobble at all when I drive. I’ll be riding A LOT more now that I can transport my bike easily and securely. BTW, etrailer.com is a great company. Their customer service is amazingly helpful. 845412

  • Recommended Hitch and Bike Rack for a 2014 Subaru Legacy and Townie Electra Bike
The trailer hitch that I recommend you use for carrying a bike rack with your 2014 Subaru Legacy is the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7205 because the crosstube is hidden which means you only see the hitch receiver and it gives you a really clean look. If you'd rather go with a trailer hitch that is a little more cost-effective then I recommend the Draw-Tite # 75673 because it is a little easier to install than the Curt # C13158. We do have the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HLY74FR which would be able to carry your 75 lb E-Bike but this doesn't have a ramp so you'd have to muscle the bike up to the bike rack. You'd be modifying the rack to the point of voiding the warranty but you could use the LED kit part # 98174LED to add the lights and then use the bracket # BK70BB and you'd be set.

  • Can a Hitch Extender Be Used with the Thule EasyFold XT on a Motorhome
There are hitch extenders available, the Hitch Extender for 2" Trailer Hitches part # 80307 for example which offers up to 8" of additional clearance however, these will reduce the weight capacity of your trailer hitch by 50%. This means that you will have 250 lbs for the bike rack and your bikes. The Thule EasyFold XT 2 E-Bike Platform Rack part # TH903202 weighs 45 therefore you will have 205 lbs left for your two bikes which would accommodate even the heaviest of electric bikes. Therefore,...

  • Easiest Bike Rack to use for Specialized E-Bikes
The best and easiest to use bike rack for your specialized e-bike is, hands down, the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202. The reason for this is the amount of convenience features it gives you, such as an aluminum ramp to load and unload your bikes. The EasyFold XT, which has a 65 lb per bike weight capacity, is the most effortless bike rack on the market to use. It allows for simple access to your vehicle's rear cargo area via a foot lever that you can press to tilt the rack down, tightens...

  • Best eBike Rack For Class I 1-1/4 Hitches
You're in luck! There's no need for a 2" hitch if you want to carry two ebikes! I really like the Thule EasyFold XT 2 E-Bike Platform Rack # TH903202 for ebikes because it makes loading and unloading ebikes easier. It works with both a 1-1/4" and 2" hitch, has a capacity of 65lbs per bike and comes with a ramp to help load your heavy bikes. This bike rack is one of the few that we carry that is usable with a class 1 hitch. The only hitch we have for your 2020 Toyota Corolla is a class 1...

  • Best Solution for Carrying E-Bike on a Travel Trailer Using a Carrier with a Ramp
I do have a couple of solutions for you but you do have a very unique situation so there isn't a perfect solution that is able to address all of your concerns. The best solution is to install a trailer hitch like the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13704 (which fits frames from 22" to 68-1/2" wide) on your travel trailer and then use the Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier # UF48-979033 to carry your bike. Since this has a ramp (like the EasyFold XT #TH903202) it will help make loading...

  • Solution for Blocked Tail Lights When Using Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack
I do have a solution for you, but Thule doesn't offer a light kit specifically designed for your EasyFold XT bike rack, # TH903202. One option is to use the Rola LED Light Kit # 59516 along with two mounting brackets # BK70BB . This would most likely require permanent modifications to your EasyFold though, since you'd need to drill holes to mount the lights on the rack itself. You could try to use zip ties to attach the mounting brackets to your bike rack, but it wouldn't be the most...

Great questions! I can really tell that you've been looking into this. I will address all of your questions in order to help keep things organized, but first I'd like to throw all of the part numbers in a list to make things easier to read: Thule EasyFold XT - # TH903202 Extra-Long Loading Ramp - # TH933402 Kuat NV 2.0 Gunmetal Gray - # NV12G Kuat NV 2.0 Metallic Black - # NV12B Kuat NV 2.0 Base Matte Black - # BA12B (no integrated bike repair stand) Access Ramp - # ANVBRB I...

  • E-Bike Rack Recommendation for Sprinter Van that Allows Rear Doors to Open with Bikes Loaded
The best option for you is going to be an e-bike rack like the Thule Easy Fold XT part # TH903202 that you referenced as it was designed for carrying bikes like yours and then also use the Yakima BackSwing part # Y02483 to allow you to have access to the rear doors when needed with bikes loaded. When the BackSwing is swung out you'll have full access to the barn doors of your Sprinter. I attached review videos for both the Easy Fold and the BackSwing for you to check out as well.

  • Yakima OnRamp or Thule EasyFold XT for Low-Step E-bike
Good news! My friend AJ's video is finally up and you can see him review the Yakima OnRamp #Y36FR in the video I attached below. I love your description of a road narwhal. If you're worried about the extra length behind your vehicle with a folded bike rack, I recommend the new Yakima OnRamp # Y96FR. In the video, AJ doesn't get into exact measurements since they're vehicle/hitch specific and he was doing a more general review, but I attached picture comparisons of the two bike racks...

  • Best Bike Rack that Allows For Easy Loading Of the Bikes and Into The Hitch
It sounds like you may have an electric Sun bike Jo. If you have an electric bike I recommend to use the Thule EasyFold XT 2 E-Bike Platform Rack part # TH903202 because of the included ramp and easy folding feature. The rack does weigh 45 lbs but it can be folded in half and is designed with a handle so you can easily carry it to the vehicle. Once you have the bike rack in the hitch you can simply walk the bike up the included ramp onto the rack instead of lifting the bike. The Thule...

  • Best Bike Rack for Electra Townie With Fenders on 2019 Jeep Cherokee
The first thing you need to select is a trailer hitch and for your 2019 Jeep Cherokee I recommend the Curt # C13171 because it is simple to install while giving you plenty of clearance to use a bike rack. This hitch does have a visible crosstube so if having a hidden crosstube (where only the receiver is visible) is something you would rather have you will need the Curt # C13395. The best bike rack for you is the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 because it is by far the simplest bike rack...

  • Adding Stability to Bike Rack Carried by 2018 Honda Accord Touring
The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24972 that fits your 2018 Honda Accord won't have any problem carrying your Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 bike rack, but if you are looking to add more stability you can certainly do so. We have not had any feedback generated on this topic but if you want something that will make you feel like the rack is more stable in your hitch then I highly recommend the Curt Cam Buckle Stabilizing Strap for Hitch-Mounted Accessories # 18050. This strap is used...

  • What Hitch Will Allow Thule EasyFold XT E-Bike Rack to Fit on 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
You can determine if the Thule EasyFold XT part # TH903202 will fit your 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited by taking one simple measurement, which is shown in the linked article. Measure from the hitch pin hole to the rear-most part of the vehicle (probably the spare tire). If this measures less than 7-inches then the rack will clear your spare. When we installed the Draw Tite hitch part # 76104 on a 2019 Wrangler Unlimited like yours we found that the dimension mentioned was 5-1/2 inches...

  • Can Thule EasyFold XT E-Bike Rack Fit 2013 Toyota Prius
The Thule EasyFold XT part # THX903202 will work great on your 2013 Toyota Prius once you have a hitch installed on it. One of the many great things about this rack is that it fits both hitch the 2 inch and 1-1/4 inch hitch sizes. So it could fit the 1-1/4 inch Draw Tite hitch part # 24847 that fits your Prius or if you wanted a 2 inch hitch we also have the EcoHitch # 306-X7178 that is a fit as well. Between the two I really like the 2 inch EcoHitch since most of it is hidden as only the...

You can definitely carry the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 with a front mount hitch on your GMC Sierra 2500 Denali! It looks like you input a 2019 GMC Sierra 2500 in as your vehicle. If this is the year that you have then we have 2 different front mount hitch options for you, the Draw-Tite # 65078 which sticks through your front fascia (cleaner look but cutting of fascia where the license plate sits) and the Curt # C31071 which hangs below your fascia (no fascia cutting but might reduce...
