3-In-1 Bike Rack

The Reese Q-Slot is a triple threat when it comes to carrying your bikes. This platform-style, hitch-mounted rack is 3 bike racks in 1 tidy package. The base rack can be used as a 2-bike carrier for 2" hitches or - with the included add-on installed - as a 4-bike carrier for 2" hitches. The add-on can also be used as a stand-alone 2-bike rack for 1-1/4" hitches, making this rack perfect for people with 2 cars that have different hitch sizes.

Multiple Configurations

You can use either of the 2-bike carriers the old-fashioned way - just slide it into your 1-1/4" or 2" hitch and secure it with the appropriate anti-rattle hitch pin. For full 4-bike carrying capacity, slide the shank of the 1-1/4" rack into the front of the 2" rack and secure it with the 1/2" pin.

Easy Bike Loading

The Q-Slot is super easy to load, even when used in the 4-bike configuration. The rack has 2 upright masts with frame hooks that adjust independently of one another to hold 4 bikes of different - or identical - styles and sizes, and they eliminate bike-to-bike contact during travel. The upright masts can be folded down by releasing bail pins at the bases, allowing you to load bikes onto the rack without interference. Folding the masts down also provides easier access to your vehicle's rear cargo area.

Cushioned Frame Hooks

Once your bikes are in place on the rack, simply slide the cushioned hooks down snugly over the bike frames and tighten the hand knobs. These hooks are staggered and operate independently of each other so that you can carry bikes of different sizes, and they are padded so that they won't scratch or scuff the paint finish on your bikes.

Adjustable Wheel Hoops

The versatile rack has adjustable wheel hoops that enable you to carry bikes of different lengths as well. These wheel hoops adjust with hand knobs and slide along the bike rack frame to accommodate your specific bike lengths. The hoops include straps with hook-and-loop closures (similar to Velcro) to secure your bike wheels in place.

Excellent Ground Clearance

The rack features a unique dual rise shank (the base rack and add-on rack both have a rise) for ultimate ground clearance. These rise shanks provide great clearance when the racks are used independently and superior clearance when the racks are used together in the 4-bike configuration.

Convenient Storage

The horizontal bars can be folded up for storage when the bike rack is not in use. Simply pull the bail pins at the base, fold the arms up, and re-insert the pins.

Video Transcript for Pro Series Q-Slot 2 and 4 Bike Hitch Bike Rack Review

Today, we'll be reviewing the Pro Series Q-Slot Platform bike rack, part #PS63138. This is a hitch-mounted bike rack that can carry 2-4 bikes with 2 inch hitches when needed with an add-on rack. The add-on rack can be used separately for 1 inch and 1/4 inch hitches. The Q-slot has cushioned hooks that slide up and down independently on the masts. This helps hold bikes of different shapes and sizes in place. There's also some padding on the hooks which protects the bike's frame from scratches. There's wheel-mounts with straps that slide back and forth, which will adjust for varying bike lengths and secure the wheels in place. The masts pull down for bike loading or to access your rear cargo area. The wheel-mount arm folds up, as well, for storage after a trip. The shank of this bike rack has a dual rise, which provides more ground clearance and has an anti-rattle bolt. It has rear reflectors, which help with making the q-slot more visible at night, and it has a black powder-coat finish to make it rust resistant. Now that we've gone over some features of the q-slot, let's show you how it's installed. We'll start in its 4-bike configuration, and slide the rack into the hitch of our vehicle. Remember, the 4-bike configuration is only for 2 inch hitches. We'll line up our pin holes, then we'll install our anti-rattle bolt with the washer. Now, we'll take the provided wrench and tighten it down and place the clip on the other side. With that done, we'll pull these pins here, which will release the wheel-mount arms down. We'll repeat this for all arms. Next, we'll show you how to pull down the masts of the q-slot.

We'll remove this pin at the base and gently let them tip away from the vehicle. As you can see, we now have full access to the cargo area. As mentioned earlier, the q-slot has cushioned hooks, which hold down your bikes. To adjust them, we'll loosen these knobs, which will allow the hooks to move freely. The wheel mounts also have these knobs that, when loosened, will allow them to adjust. The wheel mounts also have this hook and loop strap which wraps around the wheel and keeps it in place during travel. With all of our arms folded out, we're ready to place our bikes on them. We'll place our first bike on the q-slot, first adjusting the wheel mounts into position. Next, we'll place our hooks into position on the frame. Now, we'll move back down to the wheel, take our hook and loop straps and secure the wheels. We'll repeat this process with the rest of our bikes. Now, we'll show you how to make our 4 bike rack into the two separate bike racks.

We'll loosen up the anti-rattle bolt and pull the inch and 1/4 shank out, and place that into our other vehicle's hitch. Next we'll repeat the installation steps to load a bike on it. That will do it for the review of the Pro-Series bike rack, part #PS63138. .

I bought this Reese Q-Slot Platform-style 2 bike and 4 bike rack for 2" hitches 1 year ago. There are no rubber straps on it that you have to stretch out and hook on a little knob. There are no rubber straps to age and break. There are no straps to wave in the wind and beat up your bike. This bike rack nestles the front and rear wheels in a rack and neither wheel turns or pivots around. The hooks that you slide down and tighten on the bar is foolproof. The bikes are so secure that they never bump against each other. We love it . I love that I can use it for two without the other piece of the rack attached and it is just as secure. This bike rack is the answer to our worries in taking our bikes anywhere no matter how far to ride. 568256

We are very disappointed in the slide down clamp that is on top bar of the bike. The padding wore off after 2 uses and rubbed off the paint on the bike. A better covering needs to be on those hooks.

If you were still inside the 1-year warranty I'd say to try to get it replaced but since you purchased the Q-Slot # PS63138
Reese Q-Slot Platform-Style 2 Bike and 4 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches

a few years ago your best bet is to find something else to replace that padding or use the Thule Bike Frame Protector # TH984101

to help keep your bike frames from becoming more damaged.

Even though this bike rack just arrived yesterday, I know it was an excellent choice. I bought this rack for a friend who already owned one because I borrowed it and ended up in a collision, wrecking his rack! We've used it on three occasions, including a two hour drive away, and find it an ideal way to transport 4 bikes safely. If you've ever used a hanging type bike rack, there is no comparison. The platform rack allows the bikes to ride without movement--no swinging and swaying resulting in paint chipping and bent fenders and chain guards. Security of your bikes is guaranteed! 313348

This rack went together so easy and fit together so well. The adjustment for different size bikes is great as well as the "double" rack feature. my son uses the 2 bike 11/4 inch tube on his smaller car. As of now I have not traveled great distance with the unit but I already expect great results. 576194

We were looking for a 2"-hitch bike rack that would allow us to carry at least a road bike and and a recently bought electric bike (e-bike). The heavier (approx. 45 lb) of the e-bike made it important for us to find a rack that was relatively simple to install, capable of supporting over 65 lb in a platform style. The PS Q-slot platform-style 2- and 4-bike rack fit all our requirements and more. The rack arrived with the add-on piece (the extension that allows carrying two additional bikes for a total of 4 bikes already assembled. Putting together the 2"-hitch rack was relatively simple, but not 20 min as stated in the box. That would be the time you need to check that all the parts are included, especially when the box shows damage signs. We tested the rack with 3 bikes on. One was the e-bike (45 lb loaded first) and the other two standard road bikes (about 20-25 lb each). Mounting the bikes on the rack was a breeze. The adjustable padded hooks worked great securing all 3 bikes. We would recommend however using small/medium size bungee cord to keep the tires from moving, as the Velcro straps don't look very strong. The rack worked great. Nothing moved, no rattling even when going 65 mph. The instruction guide to assemble the rack could be improved, if there was a clear statement indicating that the add-on extension rack was already assembled. That would make it easier to assemble the main rack by comparing it to the add-on; it would also avoid looking for parts that are already on the assembled unit. Thus far we are very happy with the rack 411245

We used the rack to transport four bikes on a long trip (over 1500 miles round trip) and it worked great. I MUCH prefer using this type of carrier vs hanging the bikes from horizontal bars or mounting to a roof rack. I like that yiou can use the piece that attaches to the hitch if you're only transporting two bikes. I was a little uncomfortable with the racking during a test run so I used extra straps to secure the rack to my hitch and roof rack. I really don't think it was necessary and wouldn't be concerned for shorter trips. The rack is heavy and may require two people to secure to your hitch. A locking hitch bolt is the only feature I'd like to see added. I'm assuming it's available as an accessory but didn't check. 524746

Ordered the item Monday. Received the item Wednesday. Shipping was free. Assembly was simple and easy to follow, total of 5 bolts, safety pins and attachments. Bike rack comes with a stabilizer hitch bolt that screws into the rack through the hitch receiver. I have not used the rack yet but looks like it will do the job. Directions indicate to use additional padding to protect the bikes. Other recommendations are included in the directions for safe hauling and protecting bikes. The rack fold for easier storage. eTrailer is a commendable company. Outstanding products and superb customer service. I have used eTrailer for several years and purchased hitch receivers and many other trailer parts. Highly Recommend using eTrailer! 519250

This product allowed me to carry four bikes pretty easily. The downside us that the foam on the tube that hooks down on the bikes slides off and the bikes get marred pretty badly. The initial concept is good, the final design is poor. 389063

After scouring the web for the right product for our family, I came upon the 2+2 and it seemed perfect; 2 adult riders and 2 very small children who are still in a trailer but will soon need their own bikes carried around. The rack is heavy, feels well built and despite some of the reviews I read, the handles don't feel cheap/likely to break. Assembly took about 20 minutes with a 3 year-olds help. We took the rack out for a test as a 2 bike rack: 45 minute drive, unload at the park, ride around a bit, reload and 45 minutes home. None of the handles backed off, bikes were as we secured them when we got home. There was no noise associated with the rack, overall i'm very pleased so far. The only complaint i have is the lack of a lock on the hitch. I used a cable-lock through one of the holes in the rack, but you can only get a small diameter cable through there. 178880

First impression... Rack arrived yesterday (on time), box was a little banged up, but nothing was damaged (internal packaging is pretty robust). Assembly was easy and took about 10 minutes. The included wrench works, but just barely, for tightening the hitch pin bolt. Do yourself a favor and find a socket that fits (not sure about the large bolt, but the small bolt for the 1-1/4" half takes a 3/4" socket), especially if you plan to take rack on & off with any regularity. Also, throw some anti-seize on the threads to make removal easier in the future. The anti-toggle bolts work as advertised. I fit 3 bikes on the rack -- a kids 24" mountain bike, a medium frame 27.5" mid-fat mtb, and a 29" large frame hardtail mtb. All fit with no problem and seem to be secured fairly well. Adjusting the trays was easy. The clamps that hold down the frames are adequate. You'll want to wiggle the bike a little while applying downward pressure where the clamp tightens to make sure it's down as far as possible. Tightening everything with wing nuts isn't the most elegant solution, but it works and you get what you pay for. Saving several hundred dollars is worth a few turns of a wing nut instead of sliding a ratchet for me. All of the pivoting joints are secured with removable pins, so there's a little bit of inherent play everywhere, but it's not excessive. Again, it's an inexpensive but functional solution. With the bikes off, the mast *barely* clears the lift gate on our Explorer (actually relies on the play in the joint to clear it), but it's enough that my wife won't have to drop the mast every time she opens the lift gate, which is huge. The wings have to be in the down position, but that's not a big deal. They don't add any overall width to the vehicle. On my Fusion, the trunk lid clears even when the wings are folded up. With a bike on the outer tray only, the lid still opens without interference. The attached picture shows how they'll be stored when not carrying bikes. I'm coming from a 4-bike hanging rack (Swagman Titan 4), and this takes up less of the view in my rearview camera, even when folded up. Of course, having bikes back there will block the view, but that's a given for every system. As always, customer service from etrailer was the absolute best of any retailer, of any kind. I called before ordering with a few questions about dimensions of the rack, which they were able to provide on the spot. I'll try to circle back after we've had a chance to use it for real a few times. 625400

My full suspension mountain bike has nearly a foot longer wheel base than my other bikes. Too long to fit on my "platform rack" and diagonal top tube made it difficult to mount on my "hanger rack". This new rack easily handles all of my bikes. My other concern was how much garage space was going to be consumed by a double rack. I was pleasantly surprised at how compact and stable they were just sitting on the floor. 559935

I assume you know what I purchased from you and it would have been good to jog my memory. I have remembered what I purchased from you. It was a receiver mounted 4 bike carrier. There was a more motion when carrying the bikes than I would have preferred due to play in the connecting joints. This motion caused the pads on the clamps holding the bikes to ware through and damage the paint on the bikes. I was fortunate it was my bikes that were damaged and not the bikes I carried for someone else that I only knew through my sister. I do like the bike carriers and have continued to use them. I made bushings for the connecting joints that needed to be tightened and have replaced the padding with a more wear resistant material. 474606

In general: A GREAT rack. I put a 2" receiver on our Subaru. It with take all four bikes without problem. I put an 1.25" hitch on our FIAT 500e. The back half of the rack works to carry four on the 2" receiver, or two on our FIAT. We use it the most. It is the most versatile bike rack I have seen, and for a great price. Cons: I love the rack, - just being picky for those who need to know: It is heavy. The foam on the hooks moved one trip, and marred up our frames (can be easily tacked in place), and the 1.25" rack's joints are more loose causing it to have a lot more movement when driving. Starting over, I would buy it again. 482121

Its been over a year into owning and using the rack and it was requested for a year review. Still love the rack. It is stored in the garage, but has seen weather while in use still looks almost brand new. No special care, just put in on and take it off the car. Do not regret getting the great deal on this rack.

I recently purchased the platform bike rack PS63138. It was easy to put together and is easy to use. I like the versatility of using it as a 2-bike or 4-bike rack or 2 2- bike racks. My bike is easy to load, and is secure when traveling to my destination. When using the bolt that came with it, it travels well. I bought a locking bolt and that makes it a little shakier but still works fine. Only problem: I will need to put some cushioning on my bike where the top bar meets the bike because the foam got rubbed and has a small hole in it now. I already recommended this rack to a friend. The videos on the website are helpful and helped me decide to purchase this model. 422919

I’m happy with the bike rack. It is easy to get bikes on and off, and to adjust for different size bikes. I bought a lock for it where it attaches to the tow hitch.

One of the Velcro straps pulled apart when I pulled on it too hard. Easy to sew back together. Someone recommended to take Velcro straps off and stow them while biking so nobody comes along and steals them.

Is there anyway you can lock the rack to the 2 receiver instead of using just the provided cotter pin?

-- comment by: Armando - 01/12/2014

I called up my contact at ProSeries and he confirmed they do not offer a locking version of the anti-rattle bolt or have a way to lock it. It is possible that there are padlocks out there with a small enough shackle to fit in the cotter pin hole, but we do not have any that small.

Oh wow. Excellent question Armando. So it would be pretty easy for someone to just remove the cotter pin and walk away with the rack?

-- comment by: John - 04/07/2014

The potential thieft would need a wrench as well. A threaded bolt is used to snug the rack in the hitch and the cotter pin is used make sure the bolt could not back all the way out. ProSeries does not have a locking option for this rack. For a similar rack that will lock, check part # HR1400

Came well boxed and rather heavy. Took about 1/2 hour to put it together. Used it yesterday and couldn't be happier. Two hitches for the price of one! For what it's worth, the Softride 25056 hitch lock is supposed to fit this rack according to e-trailer. You might want to order one at the time you order the rack to save some shipping charges. 198679

I've only used this bike rack a couple of times, but so far, I really like it. I love that you get two independent 2-bike racks that can also be put together to form one 4-bike rack. This rack holds the bikes securely. Once the platforms are set for the particular bike, putting the bikes on and lowering the arm to the frame can be done very quickly. When driving down the road, even on rough mountainous terrain, the bikes are held securely. Very little play despite the design allowing for the platforms to be folded. Things of note. This hangs out there very far when using it as a 4-bike rack. Care must be taken when selecting a parking space since it can't be folded up. (Some racks do fold up, but I knew this one didn't when I bought it. It is cheaper than the models that do and it is modular...) When using as a 4-bike model, it is quite heavy. No more than other models, just may be difficult for a smaller person to remove. No trouble for me, but my wife would have a tough time. I had no trouble with the foam pads on the arm coming off or splitting, but haven't used much yet. (I did add a dab of glue on each one to help secure them...) My bike has the cables for the brakes and gears on the top of my top tube and when the arm is lowered on it, it did cause the cable to rub some of the paint on the tube. Didn't think about that when I used it. I may put a little tape on the top tube where the arm lowers to prevent this in the future. My wife's bike has the cables below the top tube so it works great for hers. My bike is a mountain bike and gets beat up pretty regularly so its not a huge deal to me. Also, it's aluminum so no risk of rust or anything... Overall good rack and I think a great value. Much better than trying to squeeze all of our bikes on a hanging rack that we used before. Especially with such odd top tube angles on our bikes... 362133

Great value! This is the cheapest option for a 4-bike tray type carrier. Also, I like that it is actually three carriers - a 1.25" 2-bike carrier for my car, a 2" 2-bike carrier for my SUV, and a 2" 4-bike carrier for my SUV. I knocked off a star for three reasons: - The first item I received was defective(etrailer shipped me a new part). Quality control is lacking, but what do you expect at this price point. - The velcro straps are not durable at all. One broke after about a dozen uses. - It doesn't fold up out of the way when not in use. Again, at this price point you make some sacrifices. Overall, very pleased with the purchase considering that alternatives are 2 to 3 times the cost of this rack. 408849

Installed and used 1 year not very often. Fits perfect as designed and instructed. I use to add a couple of extra straps just to be sure the bikes don't hit the car or each other. Very easy to set up 1-2-3-4 bikes, whatever their size or shape. With just 1 part (2 bikes) is much comfortable on the ride, with full equipment is getting a bit shaky, but everything stays in place. Nice looking gear! eTrailer service excellent, just Purolator keeps missing my work address and have to recall them every time. 252307

Girlfriend and I were using a trunk mounted bike rack. Went to Zion with it and it scratched up paint and dented my lift gate because we had to tighten it down so much. So we got smart and decided to buy a hitch mounted bike rack. Girlfriends car has a 1 1/4" class 1 hitch my SUV has a 2" class 3 hitch. We both like to ride together but life gets in the way and we do ride by ourselves sometimes, this rack fits that need perfectly. Product is very unique as it is 2 carriers in one. To put it together took 15 minutes and was a piece of cake(picture 1). Parts are solid but they have some looseness(that looseness is needed for the rack to work properly) and rack will have some movement as you drive. Rack holds bikes solidly but you do need to press down hard on the lock arm(make sure the foam is between the lock arm and the bike) and use the wheel straps. I didn't push it down it well and watched my bike wobble around a bit. For Women's bikes you may want to use a straight cross tube for holding bike in position. Once I learned to do the above steps bikes are very secure on rack been off road(Nothing too crazy) with it and had no concerns. The thumb screws that hold the lock arms are nice and big and easy to turn. USE the hitch lock Softride 25056 Access Hitch Lock, works like a charm and with NO wobble. You will need a separate wrench to tighten/loosen the Softride hitch lock. There is plenty of room between car and handlebars as you can see in picture 3. The only negative of this rack is the small(2 quarter size) reflectors on it for night visibility. If you have the 4 bike setup it will stick out quite a bit from your vehicle. I put some 1" white reflective tape on the lock arm and the tire holders to increase after dark visibility.(Picture 4) . All in all this is a great rack and I would buy it again. 231827

I ordered a Curt trailer hitch receiver, Class III, 2", and a Reese Q-slot platform style 4 bike rack for 2" hitches. They came quickly, but I didn't have time to open them for almost a month, due to my schedule. When I did open the hitch receiver I was surprised at the sturdiness as well as the finishing detail and painting. It was nothing less than beautiful and structurally elegant. Putting it on our Ford Transit was relatively easy, although it does take awhile to get the self threading bolts in. One of the customer reviews was very helpful with details about how to do this. The bike rack is also very sturdy and well finished. Design details are well thought out. There was one part missing, so I called etrailer and and they said that they would contact the manufacturer and have another one sent. etrailer was very helpful. These two items should solve the problem of our old bike rack which scratched up the back of the Ford Transit. Also this new bike rack can be used for either 2 or 4 bikes, which will make it very handy. 570472

Received hitch mounted bike rack exactly as described. Well packaged, quickly shipped. Instructions were easy and rack is very well made especially for the price point. I like the flexibility of virtually having two separate dual bike racks that can be combined into one four bike rack. It will work well for our family! This allows us to mainly use the two bike rack and quickly add the additional two bike expansion for transporting all four bikes for camping! 642043

Talk about a bargain....... very easy to assemble........quite adjustable ..... Two separate bike racks for the price of one.......you can either load up 4 bikes on one vehicle or use the (back rack) to directly mount to another vehicle. Easily stored, easily separated...wellbuilt 459436

Assembling the bike rack was not as straight forward as one would think. Some of the pieces were not fitted right out of the factory; some of the wheel cradle assemblies and the frame hook assemblies would not slide over the tubes. I had to bend the metal a few times and then they worked fine (I removed the rubber padding and placed a piece of wood inside the assembly and gently bent it). Also, the shipping box was completely open on one side when UPS delivered it. It is a very heavy box and it should have been shipped with plastic tie wraps or similar. Luckily nothing was missing. I have only used this rack once, to load 4 bikes (adults and kids) and go for a test drive. My first impression is that the bike rack is very sturdy and the bikes hardly move. To reduce movement, I also put a tie-down strap around the cross bars of the bikes. When loading 4 bikes for the first time, it takes some time to figure out the best configuration, especially if the bikes have different heights and different shaped cross bars. 342084

I've only used this rack one time, to take our bikes to the beach for our vacation. It was a 3 hours trip to the beach. Halfway on our route during a gas stop, I discovered one of the rubber tubes on the hooks was missing, and the other 3 were split open where they were on contact with the bikes. All of the bikes had paint damage because of this. none of the tubes are glues on. I also have a Sportrack bike carrier and the foam on that one lasted for a while before the foam started splitting on it, and they are glued on so they won't slide off. I would not recommend this Pro-Series hitch. If you do buy it, glue the foam on and wrap the foam on the hooks with bike handlebar tape or something. 275821

If you're looking for a reasonably priced, quality, a versatile platform bike rack, look no further... this is the one. I love the fact that this'll work as both a 2 and 4 bike rack, and work with both hitch sizes. It attaches and assembles easily, and folds up nice for storage. I bought this "platform" style rack because we have XC style mountain bikes that have angled cross-bars and this rack will hold them level and straight, plus, platform racks seem to be a little more secure. I'm not sure why someone would pay more for a bike rack. This rack works fantastically well. My only complaint is I wish the vertical center bar that holds the bike frame down would have and anti-rattle bolt so it's a little less jiggly, but the bar does fold, so I suppose it's a trade off. The bar does hold down the bike completely adequately. Thank you etrailer for the great web site with the great product reviews and videos. It really helped me make a good decision on buying this bike rack! 519820

Oh how I hate thee, let me count the ways Firstly, the sheer number of parts made it inevitable that many were missing. And that assembly was a pain and required several trips to the hardwares store.and the damn thing is heavy, requiring two guys to install. Which wouldn’t be bad if it wasn’t so loosely goosey, flinging the bikes about at every turn and bump. And then there is the lack of ergonomic design, having to lift bikes over the pole or drop the upright in your face after fumbling with the retainers only to find the bikes don’t fit anyway. Next time, go to the bike parks and see what works for the other guys. This POS is ending up on the curb. 728768

The Q slot bike rack worked very well for us . My family and I drove over 2100 miles and never new it was even there. We purchased the locking anti rattle bolt for 2 inch receiver it worked flawlessly,NOT A SOUND! No issues with losing foam rubber hook covers as some reviews stated, made sure they were tightened down well. Everything thing strong and sturdy except for one small thing the straps that secure the tires down into the slots are very thin and cheap . One broke while tightening. Luckily we only hauled 3 bikes ,so we had 2 extra straps. For this reason I gave it 3stars . Had the straps been heavier I would have given it 5 stars. I thought it was not to smart of Reese to build a great bike rack and put these thin cheap straps on, for over $300 I was disappointed in the straps. I will share a tip also . If you haul multiple bikes ,removing the peddles makes getting the bikes in their slots much easier. 719583

I got this product in 2017 and for the most part liked it. I bought this as it was a REESE product and thought it would have good support as it turns out if you loose or break anything for this product (other than velcro) you are done. Reese does not have parts including the special bolts available to purchase. I lost one of the bracket's that holds down the bikes (my fault left it on back bumper) and now I can only carry 3 bikes and none of the other manufacturers parts seem to work. If they had parts or could support their product I would give it 4-5 stars but without support I DO NOT recommend it. There are other brands that have parts. 706674

Quality is most important to me. I've bought cheap racks before and they were a waste of money. However, with this etrailer, I am able to have quality and afford to own it. I love my etrailer. We go everywhere with just 2 bikes or all four. It's adjustable. 704505

The price was good and the rack works but overtime I've come to realize that I got what I paid for. The hole for the bolts that hold the vertical poles have elongated over time causing the bikes to sway. It isn't a problem yet (just an annoyance) but as it continues to wear it will become a significant problem. They also use velcro straps to secure the wheels in the wheel slots. Most of these have torn where the two types of velcor are stitched together making them useless. Finally, adjusting the rack is quite inconvenient. This is especially true if your bikes are different sizes. I've make sure that I carry the bikes in the same order, which is not a problem when the same family bikes are used but quite obnoxious when carrying different bikes. 703286

This bike rack is an outstanding bike rack for an RV. It's very strong and sturdy. We use it on the back of our 38 ft. Travel Trailer to carry a 45 lb. E-bike and a 23 lb. Hybrid bike and believe me, it really gets a rough ride on the back of our travel Trailer, and the screw down locking hitch bolt kept it firmly in place and the bikes protected. We used this last winter on a 5000 mile round trip to Arizona and it worked just great with no problems. We tightened the bikes down at the beginning of the trip and never had to retighten during the whole trip. Great Bike Rack!!! 678096

The carrier works well, and is good value for the money. The sliding pieces (wheel chocks and the curved pieces that hold the bicycle frames) are a bit fiddly. They need to be very loose and then jiggled by hand in order to slide. We have yet to try both racks together, mainly because we only have two bikes. The whole carrier works well once you get used to using it. 673331

This product is a good option for buyers not wanting to pay for the premium 4-bike carriers. Built well. My only suggestion is to use a bungee cord in addition to the normal hold down clamps when securing the back 2 bikes. More than once the back bike managed to wiggle loose and flop over. The second time I was grinding off the handlebar for several miles down the road. Now I use either an additional rope or a bungee. 641889

  • It sounds like you are looking for a hanging-style bike rack that can be extended from a 2-bike model to a 4-bike model, and vise versa.
