Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Patriot Hitches drop hitch with stacked receivers. Now this drop hitch with stacked receivers has been designed by a US military veteran to slide into your two and a half inch trailer hitch receiver. And this is gonna give you the ultimate towing and hauling versatility. This is going to give you multiple two inch receivers. We have one, two, three, four, five there.
And this is going to let you mount your ball mount, your tow bar, your bike rack, cargo carrier, and mount them at different heights. Now this does have a gross towing weight of 25,000 pounds amd a maximum tongue weight of 2,500 pounds, and you're gonna get a maximum drop or rise of right about 10 inches. Now this is going to be super adjustable. As you can see, you're just going to remove the stacked receivers, and then you're gonna mount it on the shank wherever you want to get that different drop or rise. So again, as I mentioned, this receiver or these stacked receivers, you're going to get a total of five, but one of them will be taken up by the shank here.
So you're gonna have four available to mount different things or to get that height adjustment that you're looking for. So you're just going to move the stacked receivers wherever you want on the shank to get that height adjustability. You'll secure it with a pin and clip. And then your item that you're gonna be using, you'll secure it with this other pin and clip. And then you get a third pin and clip here to secure this to your trailer hitch receiver.
Now you're not gonna really have to worry about rattling with this because as you probably saw, we do have these included stainless steel bolts that's going to keep your accessories from moving and vibrating in the receivers. You're also gonna get this hex wrench here to tighten those bolts down to get that rattle and vibration out. So that's a nice addition that this does include. Another nice thing about this is if you're not using this, you can flip this horizontally, and you can use it as a hitch step when you're not using it for towing. So this is gonna be very sturdy, it's gonna be dependable for you.
This is a solid steel construction and it's covered in a pretty durable textured powder coat, so you're not gonna have to worry about rust and corrosion easily setting in, so that finish looks like it's a pretty good finish. You are gonna get, as I mentioned, these three 5/8 of an inch hitch pins, and if you notice, they are coated in red paint, so it gives you a nice pop of color. However, I just want to let you know that just in my limited use with these, do expect that paint to kind of wear off, especially when you are around the area where the clips are engaging with a pin there, you'll get some flaking there. So just be aware of that. I think that paint will probably hold up pretty well overall, but that does give it a nice pop of color. Let me give you some measurements just so you have a good idea of the size here. So I'm gonna retrieve my tape measure here. Begin with the overall height. So it looks like we're sitting pretty close to right about 13 and a quarter inches tall. And then looking at the overall length, let me get my ruler for that, that might be a little bit easier to show with my ruler. So looking at the overall length from front to back, we are sitting right at 10 inches. And then if you're wondering about the measurement from the center of the what I'm calling the accessory hole to the center of the first hitch pin hole and the second hitch pin hole, let me see if I can line that up there for you. So on center, it looks like we're sitting at five inches and then six and a half inches. And then from the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, looks like we are right at one and a half inches. So hopefully those measurements are helpful for you. So again, this is gonna give you quite a bit of flexibility, and I think it's gonna hold up pretty well for you. But I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
