Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Patriot Hitches adjustable drop hitch adapter. Now this drop hitch receiver adapter has been designed by a US military veteran to slide into your two inch trailer hitch receiver and give you a rise or drop to match the height of your particular application. You'll just move this receiver up or down this adjustable shank and secure to the chosen height with the included pins and clips. So this is gonna be pretty easy to adjust.

You're just gonna remove these pins and clips here, and then this receiver is going to slide up and down this shank here. Let me give you a brief demonstration of that. And if you notice how you get four pins here and the pins and the clips all have been painted in red just for a nice accent. So all you have to do is just slide that up and down in the shank and just get that height adjustment that you're looking for. I'm just gonna set it right here.

Obviously this is gonna be a lot smoother when you actually have it in your trailer hitch receiver. Line up the pins there. Now I do wanna point out that this paint, as cool as it is, It will probably peel off a little bit when you're constantly using the pins and clips. So I'm just trying to get the clip into place there. So if you see a little bit of flecks of red paint, you're gonna see that the more that you use the pins and the clips here.

So this does have a maximum gross towing weight of 10,000 pounds, a maximum tongue weight of a thousand pounds. And overall this is gonna give you a maximum drop or rise of about 11 inches. And then the two inch receiver is going to let you use a ball mount, a pintle hook, or other hitch mounted accessories. And if you notice this does feature built-in anti-rattle bolts that's goin to help reduce the vibration and noise. And I really think that's a great touch to this particular hitch adapter.

It does come with a wrench here so you can easily adjust that to get that rattled noise and vibration out. So that is included with this. And this is a pretty heavy duty steel construction, so this is gonna be great for towing heavy duty loads. The finish itself is kind of like a textured black powder coat finish, so I think it's gonna do a pretty good job of resisting rusts and corrosion. If you're wondering about the size, the overall length here, we're sitting right at about 11 and a quarter inches is what I came up with before our time together.
