Today we're going to be taking a look at the Seattle Seahawks Helmet 2-inch hitch cover. This hitch cover is going to allow you to show your team pride in a very unique way with the helmet shape design. It's going to add a clean finished look to your hitch and it's going to help keep dirt and grime out of the receiver tube of your hitch. This is an officially licensed NFL product. Here at the front face we're looking at a sturdy corrosion resistant Zinc construction and it's going to have the official full color logo of the Seattle Seahawks. That's going to be covered in a protective epoxy to keep it safe from damage.
The piece that goes into the hitch is going to be constructed from a durable ABS plastic construction, so overall it's a really nice design, very strong and durable. It does include a plastic hitch clip, so that is included to secure the hitch cover to the hitch. Now, if you want to remove that, it's easily removable and you can replace it with a standard hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. Those items are sold separately, so if you need one or want to replace the plastic clip you can do that by finding those products right here at etrailer.com. The pin holes on the unit will accept a standard 5/8-inch diameter pin. The unit's designed for a 2-inch by 2-inch trailer hitch.
Taking a look at the face measurements, that's going to give us an overall width of about 5-inches. The overall height is going to be about 4-inches tall and then the distance that we have from the back of the helmet to the center of the hitch pin hole, that's going to be about 2 3/4 of an inch. It's a very simple installation, all you have to do is slide it into the receiver tube of your hitch until the pin holes engage to the pin holes in the hitch or until that clip engages the pin holes in the hitch. It didn't stay on it fell off after I got it

Overall this product is “Ok” not great The helmet itself is new, yet faded in two spots and looks weathered and aged.

Nice metal, looks durable like it will last, wish it was twice or three times bigger but definitely a quality product and Great price and shipping by etrailer.com I put a locking hitch pin on it to prevent the honest thieves from helping themselves.
This was a Christmas present for our brother in law last year. Looks great. As a testament to it's quality, he backed into my sister's car with it on his jeep...no damage to the hitch cover, but left a nice dent in my sister's car!

One suggest. Break off fastener tabs and/or drill hole so you can secure with hitch pin that locks. After enjoying mine for almost 1 year it is now missing (ie stolen).

The picture/description represents the product in a fair way and is a good substitute for the original hitch cap that was damaged in a fender bender. Etrailer.com provided excellent communication throughout the entire order/shipping/followup process.

I received it in great shape and it appears to be a good product; the front part looks and feels handsome and heavy-duty, while the back plastic part that goes into the hitch receiver has yet to be tested. It appears a though it will do a fine job.
Bought a cheap plastic one on Ebay with no description on the product assumed it would be metal since it was going on a metal trailer hitch. Went to etrailer and found this metal one witch was made much better and with a product description before I ordered. Shipping was swift and I am happy with product just the right size to show off from the rear!
