Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

I installed this on a custom pickup build from a 1956 Chevrolet 6500 fuel truck. It fit the frame perfectly, the hitch height was perfect at 17". I only had to drill the frame holes, cut the crossbar to size, weld and paint. Easy peasy.

The hitch is just as described. It’s very heavy gage and came with complete installation instructions with two installation methods. I was also surprised at how fast it was delivered. I’ll be ordering additional products from etrailer for sure.

This hitch is Heavy Duty!! If you're looking for a Class 5 hitch to mount on the back of a Big Rig or RV, this is it. Bolt holes help with positioning and mounting. Drop brackets are not welded in place allowing custom fit for your application. Receiver tube must be welded to drop brackets. Highly recommend this product.

This is a tremendous hunk of steel, extremely well-made of high quality steel with perfect Welds. As you can see in the picture I customized this bar to fit right in the bumper. That is truly strong enough to be a bumper, Or even a crossmember to a custom vehicle. This is not a bolt up item. Be careful unless you're putting this on a large truck, The capabilities of this trailer hitch will generally far exceed that of your average vehicle. And of course etrailer is the best place to get it, good luck.

Hitch came on time and was easy to install being a weld on hitch. Was a good choice for my flatbed as the truck has a frame extension on it from a service box which meant a factory type hitch was not a option. Looking forward to using it more and not having to worry about hitch failure.

The website is cute enough that you can select you vehicle and year but the cuteness ends there. I assure you will be sent a hitch that won’t fit. Never used and I’ll sell it for half price but honestly I have no idea what it will fit because it sure won’t fit a 2016 Winnebago forza as described. Wish you better luck in your purchase.

This hitch is exactly what is needed for hauling something that requires a receiver hitch behind a class 8 tractor. I tow my Tracker behind the tractor to take it to service unhook, go home, and return to pick up finished repair. No more double trips.

The trailer hitch from eTrailer arrived quickly. It is a robust hitch with plenty of towing capacity. I have a GMC box truck and will be using it to tow a utility trailer from New York to Arizona. Tow hitches for box trucks are hard to find. This one has a tow capacity of 16,000 lbs. I am pleased with the quality of the unit. I will gladly recommend eTrailer to others.

I purchased a class c motor home and found out after the purchase that the trailer hitch was only for supporting a basket up to 150 lbs. I needed a REAL trailer hitch. Needs a few more details included on the website in regards to dimensions. A few detail drawings would help. Would make it a lot easier when trying to decide which and what plates are needed for your specific set-up. In case there are differences for example maybe I have a truck with a service bed but it was fitted after market and it isn't like it would be from the factory.

Bought this hitch for a custom application. WAY OVERKILL for what I needed but better to over engineer it than under. This baby is capable of towing 16000 lbs with a tongue weight of 1600 lbs. I will never tow more than the 5000 lbs my coach is rated for but I needed it to extend out and be a bit lower than the standard hitch to carry my KLR 650 on a rack which comes in at about 525 lbs.

Your packages were in bad shape, product fell out. The plates were well wrapped. UPS driver laughed at your big box, said its been loose since he received it. Not damaged but barely in the box. Might want to rethink how to ship the hitch. I worked USPS 37 yrs, wrapping and a sticker label works for larger items. Boxes always fail. Food for thought. Ty

This receiver is by-far the strongest setup I've ever seen. Its really simple too. The end plates do not come attached to the receiver bar. The installation of the end plates involves either drilling the frame and installing bolts through the end plates, or welding the end plates directly to the frame. Then you slide the receiver bar through the end plate, slide it back through the other end plate, center it where you want it and weld the end plates to the receiver bar. The only thing I might find fault with is the end plates are not tall, so the application needs to be no more than 24-28 inches above ground level unless the end user intends to use a drop-hitch. Overall, it's the strongest hitch I've ever seen.

Just a little word of caution, I am not sure how big the trailer that you are towing but please be aware that your spare tire mount and tire's 100 pounds would add to the tongue weight of this hitch, and you will want to make sure that you are within the 1,600 pounds of maximum tongue weight this is rated for.

Etrailer's part of this purchase was great. Shipped quickly and well packaged. The problem was with the manufacturer ... Draw-Tite. The hitch is great except for one thing ... the stickers look like a drunk slapped them on. It may sound trivial ... but I have spent countless hours building a custom expedition vehicle I am proud of. I now have to remove them because they look like crap.
