Very happy with this hitch. The size of the end plates matched the frame on our old truck and with the class V weight rating, our old truck can do a few other things around the farm now. Thank you.

Review from a similar Class V Universal Weld-On Hitch in Heavy Duty Receiver Hitch

I called to ask what was the inside dimension of the big square and it was said to be 4 1/2" square, that wasn't even close, it was 3 5/8" square. But I was lucky I needed 3 1/4 square. I'm modifying this to fit my fisher plow bracket so I have a front hitch to use around the yard. Nobody makes one. I own a machine shop so by getting this saves me a lot of work. So by receiving the wrong info I rating you less than EXCELLENT

Ask the Experts about this Curt Heavy Duty Receiver Hitch

  • 2010 Ford E450 Based Motorhome Yellowstone GulfStream Class V Hitch
I've spoken to Curt on your behalf and there is no bolt on hitch for your 2010 E450, but you can use the Class V Universal Weld-on Receiver Hitch and Brackets with 3" Drop # 15901. You will need to weld it on to your frame. This hitch has a maximum gross trailer weight of 15,000 lbs and a maximum tongue weight of 1,500 lbs. It has a 3 inch drop which you may want more. Here is the same hitch but it has almost a 11 inch drop # 15902. To make sure that your racecar trailer will not exceed...

  • Recommended Class V Trailer Hitch For 2003 Newmar Dutch Star RV
The Class lV or V hitches we have that are available for your 2003 Newmar Dutch Star RV require welding installations. I recommend the Curt Class V Universal Weld-on Hitch, part # 15901. This will fit frames from 18 up to 44 inches, and with the side brackets produces a drop of 3 inches from the frame. This hitch has a 2 inch receiver opening. You will want to make sure you do not exceed the towing capacity of the RV.

I may have a solution for you, however we do not currently offer any custom-fit trailer hitches for the 2001 Ford F-53 Chassis on your motorhome. Our available selection of trailer hitches designed for RVs and motorhomes are all Class III hitches. In order to upgrade, I recommend looking at a Universal Weld-On Heavy Duty Hitch like the Curt # 15901. This is a Class V trailer hitch that can fit frames from 18 inches up to almost 44 inches using the adjustable side brackets. This will...

  • Best Class V Trailer Hitch for a Class C Motorhome
I do still have an option for you in the Class V Universal Weld-on Receiver Hitch part # 15901 but it sounds like you are looking for a custom fit trailer hitch and none of the trailer hitch manufacturers we offer custom fit them to motorhome chassis. Therefore, you will need to notify the above to work for you. It has a class v rating with adjustable brackets that will accommodate your motorhome with slight alterations. • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 1997 Damon Intruder with 10,000 lb Towing Capacity
We may have something that will work for you, but keep in mind, trailer hitch manufacturers do not make custom fit hitches for RVs and motor homes. A universal hitch is used and is typically bolted or welded to the frame of the RV and in some cases the mounting brackets have to be modified. You will also have to remove the existing hitch, but I recommend holding on to the mounting brackets as templates just in case the mounting brackets for the new hitch have to be modified. Even though I can't recommend bolting a hitch to your bumper I do have a solution for you. For your application I would recommend a universal frame mount hitch, because this type of hitch will give you a more secure connection since your type of bumper is not ideal for bolting on a hitch. In addition to this we do not offer a Class VI trailer hitch receiver. Therefore, the best option I can offer you is the Class V Universal Weld-on Receiver Hitch and Brackets part # 15901. I can tell you what Curt lists as the capacities for their # 15901 and # 15902 hitches. You are correct, they both have 12k capacities. The only other capacity you will need to look up is the capacity for your RV. If it is at least 12k then you could take full advantage of the hitch's capacity assuming they were installed correctly.
