Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're gonna be taking a look at the replacement LED bulbs for your 9012 style bulbs. These are gonna be a great replacement for any kind of vehicle if you wanna have brighter, better lights. These are typically gonna be brighter than your halogen lights and especially your OEM lights as well. So they're a really nice design, let's take a closer look to make sure that they're gonna be the right fit for you. Again, this is gonna be the 9012 style bulb or 90-12 style bulb so it should fit into a harness that looks something like that, or matches up to something like that.

Now these are going to be the extreme series, So these are gonna be great for any kind of off-road use or use in rural conditions. Not really meant for highway conditions.You can also use them as high beams as well, but they are gonna be very, very bright. So I'm gonna hook these up to power, so you can see just how bright they are. These are polarity sensitive. So, whenever you're connecting these two you're wiring, you wanna be sure to note that it does have a plus and minus on here to indicate the positive and negative terminals.So turn my light on there and you can see a very, very bright light.

And you might also hear there's a little fan in the back or the bottom of this light housing to help keep it cool. So, it should be a very efficient light. Shouldn't have any worries about overheating or any issues with the light failing prematurely. I'm actually gonna zoom out a little bit, so you can see just how much this is lighting up my studio, just with this one light. So, definitely a very bright light and it can be rotated to allow it to fit with your housing.

So you can get that dialed in where you need it to be, to match up with the right angle. So you don't have to worry about that only being stuck in one position, turn that off.Now I'm seeing spots cause that's so bright, but again, little fan in the bottom helps to keep everything as cool as possible. The aluminum housing also helps to dissipate the heat as well as those fins just creates more surface area for that heat to get exposure to the air and cool down.It does also have an IP rating of IP65. So that means it's gonna be dustproof and waterproof or weatherproof as well. So you don't really have to worry about any dust or water getting in there, should be good for all kinds of use.

It's also shock resistant. So even if you're going on rough terrain, you shouldn't have any issues with this.It is a plug and play application. There might be some instances where you would need an anti-flicker harness, that's for those vehicles that are canvas and PWM equipped vehicles. So the part number for that harness would be there on your screen. You can either get that harness separate from the bulbs, or you can get it as a kit, kinda depends on how you wanna get that. If you're not sure if you need it and you wanna wait until you actually get the bulbs and put them in, you can always buy that harness separately, but it's kinda best to get the kit. So, sometimes a little bit less expensive to do it that way.The easiest way to figure out if it's going to. If you're gonna need that is to use our fit guide here at etrailer.com put in your year, make and model, and then go from there. So as far as the specs, this does have a raw lumen output of 5,000 lumens and an effective lumen output of 4,565 lumens. That second number is really the one to pay attention to since that's more of a real world, actual output for these lights, but that's still very, very bright after about 30 minutes that does drop down to the stable lumen output of 4,033 lumens, still a very bright light. So it's definitely going to light up all those Knight trails and that real country dark that we might experience out in rural areas.The color temperature is 6500 Kelvin. So it's that nice white, cool white that you saw. The wattage per bulb is 43 watts, power drop 13 volts is three amps per bulb. Operating voltage goes between nine-volts and 16 volts DC. It does covered by a two year limited warranty. And that's about all there is to it for our look at the replacement LED bulbs.
