I finally got around to mounting the headache rack. Had to build a couple of blocks so that I could put the tool box in place. That took me longer to manufacture the blocks, than mount the rack... which took no time at all.

I help a friend split firewood for his stove. Now I can toss the wood into my truck bed without worrying about busting my rear window. !!!!Also, run some bungee cords thru the mesh, and you can store tools in it.

Looks good coming out of the package. Fit my truck as stated. Simple to mount. Nice accent to my truck. Going to mount a light bar and warning lights on it for snow plowing.

Nice looking add on for my F350, all the parts were in the box, instructions lacked a little, but I finally figured everything out. Good welds, however the two pieces that bolt to the truck were about 4 degrees off the 90 they should have been. Nice heavy duty bolts and plates to keep the ridge in place, however somebody needs to walk out and find an F350 and look at the size of the side holes in the steak slot, a 11/16 wrench does not fit through the hole without some adjustment. Other than all that, it was shipped quickly, it looks good on my big Babe.

2007 Chevrolet Silverado New Body

I haul a lot of firewood and have bounced to many logs off the rear windows. Figured my luck would eventually run out so wanted to get some protection but wasn't sure how I was going to mount a headache rack with my TracRac. The MaxHaul rack looked nice and the price was right so figured I would give it a shot. The MaxHaul rack ended up fitting perfectly to the TracRac tool box mounting slides that I had, no drilling required. I first mounted the MaxHaul rack with the mounting extension legs installed per the instructions but it sat a little high, due to the TracRack system, with the top rail of the MaxHaul a little above the top rail of the TracRac and a little bit of window still exposed at the bottom. So I reversed the MaxHaul extension legs and installed them upside down which lowered the rack about two inches which was perfect. This brought the top rail of the MaxHaul rack below the top rail of the TracRac so now any load secured will all be resting on the TracRac which can definitely support more weight. The only reason I took one star off the rating was because both receiver ends on the main MaxHaul frame were partially crushed, I assume in shipping, and had to be straightened out with pliers before the extension legs would fit. Bottom line: price was right, looks great, easy install, fast shipping.

Just as described online. Showed up on time with the tracking number provided. Fit easily onto my 2007 Ram 1500 with my toolbox. The bolts it came with to secure to the bed were too long without enough thread to tighten; however, that was a quick fix with a few extra washers. Happy with what I got for the money, and still cheaper than replacing a broken back window. Will do the job, looks clean and makes for a solid, safe bed for hauling saws and wood.

Attached are 3 items I recently purchased from etrailer I installed the headache rack and LED light bar. Both work perfectly. The LED bar is super bright and makes backing up at night, or working on the boat/trailer amazingly bright Since my tonneau cover would not work with the rack, I bought the fifth wheel cover. Love all 3 purchases Thanks etrailer

The rack fit my truck great . Hangs over about 1/4 of an ince on each side, but that's not a problem. Made very well ,welds are good. I'll have mine on the truck as long as I own it. Bad things... The rack should be dip, not spayed. Mine showed rust inside. 2. Not one decal was stright. I had to remove them all. I expected better. Small things do count.

Great rack for a great price! For $89 you can’t beat it. Others are running twice that price for the same unit. One of my guys was driving my truck and stop short and the wheel barrow slide to the front and broke my window, but no more with this rack. And looks good on my truck.

There were no directions for installment but figured how the plates mounted into the precut slots in the bed. Now have noted rust spots on the welded areas where the wire is mounted to the tubing. However, product is sturdy and gets the job done especially when hauling firewood.

First, I received the product damaged. Probably done by UPS, but packaging could have been better. It was a small bend in the receiver where the extension arms go in. Was easy to fix, so I did. It doesn't affect function and you can't see it. So not an issue for me. Second, the instructions are fine, IF they apply to your vehicle. They kinda do for my 07 Ram. Kinda don't. The access holes under the stake slots of the bed rail are small. No way to fit most tools or more than one finger in there. Had to take the washers and nut to the mounting plate. But even then, the bolts have too much non-threaded space up top. I had to add several washers to get a tight fit, and also had to cut my access holes a bit to get tools in there to tighten. Third, the mounting plates are way too big for my bed rails on the second hole. Which you must drill to mount. I didn't use them I'd have had to grind it down way to close to the bolt hole to be useful Part of the description says "no drill" which is misleading. I wouldn't use this product without utilizing both mounting holes. The instructions even say to drill a hole. Ok. And I had the same issue with the bolts having too much non threaded space. In all, I needed 16 washers/metal bushings. 4 for each bolt. After installing, I'm pretty happy with the product. It does what it says. It looks fine (I'm not into looks though). It doesn't shake or wobble when driving despite having a little play in it. First log I over threw hit the rack and it did its job. No damage to the rack and it didn't move or hit my window. So, mission accomplished. Overall, I would have given it 5 stars except for the installation issues. With some tweaking to the mounting hardware, it could be the best rack out there, especially at it's price point. There are better looking racks out there for double or triple the price, but if you value function over form, this really isn't a bad way to go. If you're scared to cut/drill into your truck, or don't have much experience making things work for your truck, then I'd suggest having I installed by a shop that knows it and has proper tools. Check your application first. This is a "one size fits most" product. May work perfect on a different truck, may be worse. Looking at my kid's 2015 GMC, I'm not sure this would work at all. Overall, still happy. Cheap, shipped fast, good customer service. 3 stars for the rack, but I'd give 5 stars to the experience of buying from this company.

Can't beat it for the price! After I adjusted it to fit my truck, I welded it in place to make it a bit more solid. Looks great on my truck, and functions as it should. I would definitely recommend buying this and saving yourself hundreds of dollars!

It takes about an hour or less to install depending if a friend is helping you or not. You will have to drill holes in your bed for sure to bolt it down. The weak link is the rocking motion from from to back, meaning it will sway towards the cab because of the universal design. It's not an issue but simply not as sturdy as one without adjustment on it. I have bought 3 of these for three different trucks.

2015 Ford F-250 Super Duty

unfortunately I wasn't impressed with my purchase...I ordered a specific headache bar for my f-250 super duty and when I put it on it was a couple of inches short on both sides...The height was a couple inches to short to accommodate the cab backup and brake light..(I am hoping it still will pass inspection). Wasn't too hard to put it on.. Compared with other models the price wasn't bad, but if I loose my back window, it price won't matter...

2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty

The headache rack arrived in good condition and in good time. It looks to be well made, but I did have 2 issues when I installed it. I have a 2011 F350 crew cab with an 8' box. To install it I had to set it back about 3.25" in order to be able to have clearance to drill the second hole required to attach it on the bed rails. This is because the steel around the stake pocket would have been in the way. (I plan to make a bracket extension and weld it or maybe bole it to the original ) Then I can mount it aligned with the top of the front of the box and have clearance to bolt the second bolt properly. Also, the heavy plates for the second bolt were about 1/4" too wide. I just used 3 heavy fender washers for under that second bolt, I will cut the 1/4" off and replace the 3 washers with the modified plates. One other thing which was minor, the kit comes with 8 bolts, 4 long and 4 short. They should all be the same diameter, #12M x 1.75, 7 were right and 1 was one or 2 sizes smaller, I had to go buy the proper size. Even with these issues, I still think this was a good purchase.

Installed on a 2002 Dodge 1500 Quad cab pickup and very simple installation. Not a lot of assembly, so that went well. Good quality product and price. Went with this style of mesh wire squares, to not block rear view and for securing items. Attached/wired a CB radio antenna and auxiliary overhead lighting to finish off the project. Works well.
