Fully welded vehicle trailer hitch is strong and durable. Draw-Tite's Tested Tough guarantee ensures that this hitch exceeds industry standards. The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection.

Specs:
Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Your video helped me with the install a ton. I am not sure how much longer it would have taken me without it.
Be gentle with the fishing wires. When fishing the square washers and bolts through the frame, notice (by feeling inside with your fingers) there are two paths to take; take the one on the outside that's a bit wider or else you could risk getting the bolt and washer stuck inside like I did. My fishing wire broke and I had to use a firm wire to push the bolt and washer back to where they entered. Gingerly pull that fishing line!
I always add a hitch before my first tank of gas is empty in a new (to me) ride. Mfgs don't make it super easy, but the hitch companies do their best to compensate. just pay attention to the order you fish the hardware into the frame, gotta go to the far hole first (obvious, but if you get distracted by the dog wanting to play it can get out of order and be a real pain to reset). Took about 2 hours to install, no lift, solo.
At 1 yr old I can only really comment on the durability thus far - which seems excellent. No rust or visible corrosion. The minivan is forbidden from towing and I am not sure if there has even been a bike rack attached during the year (the intent of putting the hitch on). It has a nice profile, the installers did an ok job, they cut up the liner more than I had hoped and while the kick sensor for opening the hatch stills works, I've turned that feature off in the software. It is nice to have a secure place to lock up a keybox [to the safety chain anchors], so I am finding multiple uses for the hitch receiver as well.
Everything are fitting perfectly
This was a great experience using etrailer. The video was perfect for the hitch and vehicle I was installing it on. So thankful the guy that did the video went through all aspects of installing. I needed every second of it. Thank you! I recommend highly using this site.
Took a little longer to install, but I am 69. Ha Ha looks really good. Nice tight looking hitch.

Has not fallen off the van yet, just joking around when a great hitch.
Caledl customer service and they were very helpful and nice. The trailer hitch was delivered promptly and the installation was completed easy enough with one person.
Unfortunately, as I had read in other reviews, the hitch has a fair amount of paint that appears to have flacked off. Poor paint job from the factory. Combine that with all the paint that rubbed off due to the poor packaging and obviously very rough shipping and my brand new hitch looks terribly beat up. The most I can give this product is 2 stars.
Great hitch. I bought this one because of the 4500 towing capacity and 675 tongue weight. Although we will likely only ever use it for bikes, hitch rack, and small trailers.
Like others, I laugh at the 45 minute installation estimate. Took me about three hours. I did it in my driveway on ramps for the rear of the vehicle which gave me plenty of room to work.
On my 2021 at least there’s a plastic box in the center under the bumper that I thought I would have to cut out or bend out of the way, but the hitch just sneaks past it. Be careful not to pinch the wire or crush this box, it holds one of the many receivers for the key fob.
I have only one gripe with the instructions provided by draw tight. Not etrailer’s fault. They say model year 2021+ cars won’t be able to replace the exhaust heat shield and the fiberboard undercladding. So I almost didn’t even try. But both fit fine with very slight mods!
For the heat shield, You’ll just need to cut about 2 inches off the edge that hits one of the hitch rails. You could probably also just fold it back on itself.
For the cladding, I cut a slit where it hits the driver side hitch rail. Then pushed the whole rearward edge that would’ve attached under the bumper up behind the round bar of the hitch. See photos. Very easy to do, but reinstalling both of these pieces probably took me an extra 45 minutes or so.
At first, somewhat intimidated to install this...not that I haven't wrenched many things in the past, but not having done anything yet with the new car, and it is relatively heavy, working on my back. The online videos were informative and helped me expect and visualize what I would need.
I did mine with some rhino ramps and a floor jack.
I did the install slowly and the kit did make it easy. The only thing that wasn't perfectly clear was the canister adapter for the hybrid, but I got it to work. I think my total time was 4 hours from ramp up to ramp down.
Looks great, works great for what I needed for my bike rack.
Item was in stock and showed up quickly and in surprisingly good condition, despite the box looking like the UPS package throwers had airdropped it from a plane without a parachute somewhere along the line. I'm glad they all will be getting a raise and a/c soon! Item fit as it should on a 2022 Pacifica Hybrid. Overall, a good purchase.
Great product and looks great since most of the assembly is hidden under my Pacifica minivan. My only complaint about this the cost of the bracket for the hybrid carbon canister. The cost of the hitch receiver was very reasonable, but an extra $65 bucks for two brackets to hold the canister??
Instructions were good and simple enough to execute. It took me 2.5 hours but I did it by myself with some floor jacks to help hold up the assembly while I put it in place and fastened. Definitely recommend if you don't mind paying extra if you have a hybrid version.
This hitch was installed a year ago. It was a bit tricky to fish the bolts thru with the metal wires, but it was do-able in the end. The hitch is solid, and has been working well with my bike rack.
Instructions say this is a 45 minute install. Maybe if you have done it a few times already and have a lift. More like several hours. The package was pretty beaten up when it arrived. The hitch had several areas where paint was either worn or scratched away and even patches where the paint was just not adhering, see picture. The metal must not have been cleaned properly on the edges prior to painting as it just flaked off when picking up the hitch. I used about a 1/4 can of rustoleum spray paint to cover all the exposed metal areas in hopes of keeping the rust at bay for at least a little while. The video showing how to install this thing was crucial, be sure to watch that before jumping into the install.

I recommend touching up the hitch with a rust resistant paint like rustoleum which you will have on hand for regular hitch maintenance.

We carry bikes on the back of our van and the hitch has worked great of us.
Installed as easily as the video indicates. Working around the exhaust system does take a bit of effort, but it fits beautifully once it's in place.
Hitch was loose packed into an oversized box with two small pieces of cardboard not attached to the hitch in anyways when it arrived. Three staples in the face of the box for no obvious reason added to scrapes in paint on transit. Chipped paint everywhere and the abuse leaves me questioning whether the holes will line up when I have time to install, due to bending of the ends from impacts.
