Speaker 1: Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Aussie Portable Gas Grill with carrying bag, part number 277-000091. The Aussie Portable Grill is built for having barbecue on the go. For example, it has the bracket that attaches to the RV like you see here, but you can also get a tray for it so you can take this to camping trips, boating trips, tailgating, or you can even barbecue in your own backyard. It has two settings once you have it attached to the RV. It sits down low like this, and with after just a few adjustments, you can actually flip this around, and have it in a higher position like this.It comes with the connections necessary to attach your gas lines to your actual grill. It also comes with a push button ignition switch, and also a matchstick holder.

For manual use, you put it through there with the match to get everything started. This has a 205 square inch area for actual cooking, and then 105 square inch warming rack up at the top. This also comes equipped with a stainless steel burner that can produce up to 10,000 BTUs of heat. It also comes equipped with a drip pin, just remove that latch there, this slides out all the way and you can empty out your grilse and fat once you're done grilling. It also has a locking lid, simply just lift up on these brackets here, and then you can open up and see what you're workin' with.A couple issues I'd like to go over with the grill here. First off it's gonna be the hose length from the source of the propane to the actual grill itself.

Now a way to get around it is when you know where the hanger rails are gonna be, take a quick measurement from that to the source, and plan accordingly as far as to which hose you're gonna be purchasing for your grill. Also, another scenario is where this is mounted right now, we're right under our awning, however you can't have the awning out while you're grilling. That's where the tray is gonna come into place where you can actually set it away from things so you can still grill, have your awning out, and have a good time. For your camping, boating, or tailgating trips, these do have convenient fold out legs here to go tabletop. When everything is finished with the grilling and it's cool to the touch, you can place the grill in convenient carrying bag to be placed inside the RV or your vehicle for travel. It fits around that, and you can place the bracket inside as well.Comparing this with other grills, one that comes up is gonna be the Faulkner Barbecue Grill, part number FR51323. When comparing these two, the Faulkner has a couple advantages over the Aussie.

For one, it has dual mounting positions such as it can be mounted to the RV itself, or it also has a free standing mount to act almost like a tray like you'd have to purchase separately for the Aussie. Also, with the Faulkner, it does generate a little bit more BTUs of heat while grilling with 12,000, while the Aussie has 10,000. Also the cooking surface is gonna be different. With the Faulkner, you'll get 219.5 square inches of cooking, but of course with the Aussie, as you know, it's gonna be 205.As far as what our customers are saying about it, Phil J. states, "Couldn't be more pleased with the Aussie RV BBQ Grill.

A majority of the small BBQ grills on the market don't have the warming rack like the Aussie does. One year later, the grill is working fantastic. Very pleased with it."Now that we've gone over some of the features, let's go ahead and show you how this installs. Around the side of our RV here, you need to make sure that you have the hanger rails installed on the side for this to work. If they're not there, simply purchase 'em and install them, these do not come with the grill kit.Now when installing our bracket for our grill, there's two configurations that you can have. You can either have it set like this, where it sits a little bit higher, or in our case, we're gonna flip it towards more level for us to do our grilling. It fits full on there very easily, slides on like so, and you just let it swing down.Next we can start thinking about mounting our grill. We already have our back holding plates here installed and we have the front ones loosely installed because these are gonna be pushed in once we have everything figured out. So with everything loosened up and tightened where it needs to be, let's go ahead and grab our grill. So we'll line it up, setting it in the rear mounts first, making sure it's sitting in place properly and then we'll bring in our front mounts to tighten it down. I'll tighten down the wing nuts, so nice and tight. Now with everything tightened down, our next step is to get the proper hose to connect our grill to our propane source. When hooking the propane hose up to your RV, keep in mind that the Aussie Grill does not come with that hose. We have many here at etrailer.com to choose from, and today we're gonna be using the MB Sturgis Dual Quick Disconnect Propane Hose for small appliances. This is gonna be six feet long, and the part number is 100395-72-MBS. One of the nice things about this style of hoses, it has a quick disconnect or a quick connect as well. Doesn't have any tools required to install it, and now we're ready to start up our grill, grill ourselves some burgers and dogs. There you have it for the Aussie Portable Gas Grill with carrying bag, part number 277-000091.

I am very pleased with the quality of the grill, and the instructions are very clear. All the parts were included, and it went together without a hitch. The bracket to attach it to the RV worked out perfectly for my Jayco Eagle, and the carry bag is also a nice touch. I have not used it yet, but I feel sure it will be just the ticket. Thx! 595605

This grill has worked out very well for us. It is easily stored in our RV in its carry bag, is easily pulled out and set up, and cooks very well. I really like that it tells you the temperature inside with the lid closed.

The grill came in quick and was well packaged as usual from etrailer. Came mostly assembled with only a few small prices to put together. Assembly took <30 minutes. Fit and finish is nice and appears to be well cuilt. Haven't cooked on it yet, but am looking forward to it. 337596

I can only give this grill a 4 star at this time because I have not yet used it. We assembled it together last night, which went well. The grill was well built, I like the fact it is made of stainless steel and not tempered mild steel then painted. I was extremely impressed with the customer service (thanks Madison). Fast no nonsense shipping and I had a very informative service rep. The price for the grill was a fair price, you can find cheaper grills but for the quality and service it just out weighs the others. I was happy to get the same grill as in the picture, unlike I had found from experience regarding other online companies. Thanks etrailer.com 312683

Great product! I purchased the grill one year ago and mounted it permanently to the back bumper of my trailer with a cover and it has served me fine. I lot of cook space and no hot spots that I can determine. 540226

I am extremely pleased with how quickly I received the grill. Placed the order on Friday evening and I received it the following Wednesday. It was simple to assembly with the directions that were included and fit on the trailer bra key perfectly. I will recommend etrailer to all that I know in the future. I shared a picture with Sherry at etrailer yesterday after I assembled it. Thanks. 427211

The Aussie Grill has gone beyond my expectations... Just this year with our 1st camping trip... it performed flawlessly. Easy to ignite, and use ...as well as easy to clean. When I recieved the 1st grill...I had a dent in the hood of the grill. Customer Service asked me to take pictures of the damage....and immediately issued a return tag...and sent a new grill. I have been in sales most of my life and have finally retired, Great to know there are still company's out there like etrailer that still value customers and have Integrity! Thank you for caring about your customers... 521130

Got it put together without much difficulty and the directions were spot on and easily understood. All that with free shipping and a price that's right! Keep up the good work etrailer! 706825

Fast delivery, package in good shape. It took about 10 minutes to put together after unwrapping and reading instructions. Very simple to do. Fired it up, looking forward to use in the next couple weeks. I LIKE THE STORAGE BAG it came with. 4 stars because there was no exterior frame, as advertised, just the 4 connecting "feet". I will not use it that way, so not a huge issue. The bottom GETS HOT! I believe it would melt a plastic table - so I made 2 supports to go under the "short" legs to raise the unit an inch. 706636

Well constructed and works better than the gas stove that came with the our trailer. Does require some assembly. I like the burner system for good distribution of heat. I would buy again. If you are not attaching to trailer, I recommend the folding stand which provides a secure setup for the stove. 693638

My husband loves this grill. We use it with our RV and it works great. It's not too bulky and it fits on the small collapsible table he uses to grill. Having feet on the bottom is nice so that it doesn't need a stand and doesn't have to sit directly on the table surface. We would definitely buy another one in the future. 586067

We have owned the Aussie Grill for over a year. We have camped 20+ days this year and have used the grill each day. It is a great size and performs beyond our expectations. The grill cooks evenly and is easy to clean. We especially appreciate that it is light weight and easy to attach to the side of the camper with the bracket that was recommended. 585655

On low setting, temp goes to 500 in a heart beat. Must keep opening lid to cool it down. Leaving lid open only serves to bleed the heat away rapidly thus causing a long, very long cooking cycle. The Piezo igniter failed after 2 ignitions. Not real impressive for the high price. 561840

  • Differences Between Aussie Portable Gas Grills
The Portable Gas Grill with Carrying Bag - Black # 277-000091 has a 10,000 BTU rectangular burner where the Portable Gas Grill with Carrying Bag - Stainless Steel # 277-000092 has a 12,000 BTU burner. The Black unit also has a porcelain enamel cooking grid on the bottom where the Stainless Steel unit has stainless steel grids for both. The Stainless Steel Unit also has a stainless steel flavor activator over a U-shaped burner. For either of these units you will want the Camco Quick-Connect...

In order to connect the Aussie Portable Gas Grill # 277-000091 (which is the same as your 6TV1S00KP1) to your RV's propane system, you should just need the MB Sturgis Dual Quick Disconnect Propane Hose # 100395-72-MBS. This hose features a 1/4 inch Male Model 250 quick-disconnect at one end that will connect to your RV and a 1/4 inch Female Quick-Disconnect that will go to the grill. I have attached a short video demonstration on this hose that you can also check out.

The other end is a Male #600 (1"-20) disposable cylinder port that lets you hook up a small appliance or propane tree. This way you can power a grill, heater, or other accessory without needing to use a 1-lb throwaway cylinder.

  • Is Aussie Portable Gas Grill compatible with High or Low Pressure Propane Systems
It is true that the Aussie Portable Gas Grill with Carrying Bag # 277-000091 doesn't have a regulator built-into the grill itself. Since it is only compatible with low-pressure propane systems a regulator will be required between the propane source and the grill itself. I did some checking and all of the Expert answers that refer to a 20 lb propane tank recommend the Camco Propane Hose w/ Shut-Off Valve # CAM57629 that connects directly to the 20 lb tank itself. This hose will work fine for this application you simply need to make sure the valve at the female quick connector is turned on and it is labeled. I do have a way for you to hook your Smoke Hollow 205 Grill to the propane system on your trailer, however you won't be able to remove/replace its built-in regulator since the control knob is built on top of it. There isn't a knob available by itself that could replace this. What you will need to do is keep the regulator on the grill but tee into the propane tank on your trailer before its own regulator. To do this you can use a combination of the MB Sturgis T-Fitting # 103613-MBS and...

Your best option is to use T-fitting # 103537-MBS. The quick-connect you have on the grill is a 1/4-inch male quick connect like part # CAM59903. The Portable Gas Grill with Carrying Bag # 277-000091 that you referenced is designed for use with a portable tank so the correct adapter you'd need to connect it to a RV propane source is something like the Camco Propane Adapter # CAM59213 which is a Female P.O.L./Male ACME x 1"-20 Male Throwaway Cylinder designed for connecting a small appliance that runs off a small tank to an RV propane source.

What I recommend is to use the grill with folding grill stand # 277-000126.
