Specs:
The Hide-A-Goose gooseneck trailer hitch works to meet your heavy-duty towing needs while still allowing you to get full use out of your truck bed. The hitch installs beneath your vehicle to create a low-profile look. Even the safety-chain holders sit flush against your truck bed to take up as little room as possible. The ball easily secures in the hitch with a reinforced locking pin that is operated by a handle that installs in your truck's rear wheel well.
This hitch is called the Hide-A-Goose because of its convenient ability to hide the ball when you're not towing. To remove the ball, just pull the handle in the wheel well until it latches in the open position. Remove the ball, flip it upside down, and drop it back into the ball hole of the hitch. Then pull the handle again to release it from the open position and reengage the locking pin to secure the ball in the stowed position.
Once you secure the ball in the stowed position inside the hitch, use the rubber cover to conceal the ball hole. This cover prevents dirt and debris from getting into the ball hole. This will prevent buildup that could cause the ball to seize up in the hitch.

Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer installation instructions and specs for complete information.
Today on this 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 were gonna install part number 9464-35.Now, to get the truck ready for installation what weve done is lowered the spare tire and we also removed the wheels. You dont have to but it makes things a lot easier. And we also removed the inside fender well.So the next thing we need to do is we go underneath the truck, youll see we have a heat shield. We have to remove that as well. We got our two fasteners here and here and one, two, three here. This fasteners behind a heat shield so you have to have an extension to go in between.
The second fasteners different. It actually has a nut on that side. Were gonna remove our section of the exhaust. Were gonna loosen this clamp right here and then we can remove it from the rubber hanger.Alright, now were gonna go ahead and take a few moments to find a location in the bed that we have to drill out. I always go by the instructions. In this case we have an 8-foot bed truck and it says 36 inches.
And then well measure across to find our center. On the center bed, we can also double check by measuring the center of the rib itself, which is about 2 inches. Now well go ahead and use a 1/8-inch drill bit and make a pile hole and well use that to gauge our install as we install underneath the bed.Now were go ahead and were gonna lift the bolt on the drivers side. When were done with drivers side, well repeat the same process in the passenger side but well remove the bolts entirely. Now well go ahead and jack up the bed and put a block between the bed and the frame. Now well go ahead and loosely put our gooseneck together. Were gonna take the crossbars thats gonna lay over the hitch like this and our carriage bolts will go to the outside square holes and to this holes right here.
Well flip it over and install the teeth washers and nut on the other side. Now, the crossbars are equal length so theres no front or rear on it.Alright, well take up the slack and bolts a little bit and then whats gonna happen when you install it, when we install it the hitch is offset, the offset is gonna go towards the cab. With an extra set of hands, well go ahead and take this and install it to the truck. One thing to check is to make sure that you can thread on the hardware onto the end of the thread here. Sometimes the power thread gets too thick and youll fear for that. Now, before we slide it across make sure that your wires are out of the way before we can put it on top of the frame. Now well go ahead and take our frame bracket, put it to the cross members to place our hitch in the right spot and then well double check it with a power tool in a bit.
Alright now well take our bracket, were gonna slide it over our studs. Use this hole in the very end and this hole here. The outer holes will be used for the u-bolt clamps. So we got our tight temper that in place. You see it outlines up in the frame. You wanna make sure how the bracket wraps around the bottom of the frame here. In this case, the oval is gonna line up with the oval and its gonna overlap as far to the front as possible and itll line up with the pile hole we made. Its gonna be a very tight fit but itll work.So lets go ahead and take our hitch back out. Well go ahead and drill our final hole size in the bed. Lower it as close as you can and then move the hitch around and then lower it the rest of the way. At this point well go ahead and take our bed bolts, and reinstall them and tighten them back down. Now well go ahead and start installing our frame brackets to our cross rails. On our drivers side here we got the ground cable in the way. So were just gonna unbolt it and loosen up our cable clamp it just to give us a little bit of extra room. Well put our plate into place, make sure that this tab is in the bottom to run towards the back. Were gonna use our 5/8 slot washer, lock washer and nut on the top bolts. With all these loose for now, well take our bolt leader, run it through the bracket into the frame and were gonna work it out through this access hole right here. Put a block in and then thread on the bolt. On the bottom well add our teeth with the teeth pointing up and a nut. Were gonna leave all these loose coz we had to shuffle the hitches around a little bit to clamp the hole on the other side as well. Lets go ahead and take the ground cable and reattach it. Ill go ahead and install our u-bolts here and here. And then we run our u-bolt and the cables and our brake line back here too so we have perfect contact with the frame.Alright, were gonna loosen up this wire holder and pop it out of the way. And heres the brake line. We gotta take our u-bolt and run it behind it. And our wire harness is gonna be in the way here too so we gotta pop that loose and then we can push them partially back here to hold everything back together.Alright, lets put our hardware in there and lets start with the u-bolts. Alright, u-bolt is done on the drivers side, lets do it one more time over on the passenger side. At this point well go ahead and snug down all the bolts with our u-bolts first and then our bolts on the bottom. Well tighten up the frame bracket to the frame. Our u-bolts are used on these two oval slots right here. Now what were gonna do is use the u-bolt and find the bottom portion of our corrugation and well move towards the inside. So we install from the top, our u-bolt will feet inside the lower corrugations. So were gonna use the -inch drill bit to mark our center holes and drill a pile holes. Then were gonna drill our final hole size top down. Well take our u-bolts and drop them into place. We can go on the bottom and install the hardware. Well then take a washer, our spring and then our nut and well repeat the same process for the rest of the u-bolt and then well tighten this nut down about two threads pass and were finished. Now we can go ahead and put on our handle, rotate it and make sure that the holes in the handle, clamp the holes in the hitch.Alright, basically the hitch is installed and finished and ready to go. We just gotta fit in our fender wells back on the vehicle and the spare tire and the exhaust. Now, the fender well on the drivers side well get to modify so we have access to the handle. To make our opening in the fender well, were gonna use a 5-inch hole saw and were gonna measure from this existing opening right here where it mounts up the fender liner to the body and then were gonna measure 7 inches in a straight line compared to the other mount. And then were gonna measure down 2 inches. Were gonna make a mark right here. So our hole saw will come through here. We can grab our handle and pull it out. Alright, lets give it a test fit. To get enough room for it, lets just make a straight edge down each side and then we can go ahead and bolt it up. Well go ahead and reinstall the fasteners for the fender liner and then well go ahead and reinstall the fender liner on the passenger side.Alright, lets go ahead and reinstall the exhaust.Ok, well take the heat shield and put it back into place. Now, were also gonna do here after we made our cutout, were gonna make a notch using this existing hole.Ok, Ill take the handle, pull it out and pull it to the side then it stays open then you put the ball in. Put it back to center and the balls locked into place. With the pin pulled out we can install our ball, well latch it back up and then it stays in there. We can pull it back out and we can store it inside as well. Just be careful when you load up the truck to make sure that you dont put too much weight because this is right above the differential and you dont want it bottoming out. With that, thatll finish it for our install part number 9464-35 on a 2011 Dodge Ram 2500. .

Remove the ball on this gooseneck hitch and store it upside down inside of the hitch to get full use of your truck bed when you're not towing. Wheel-well-accessible handle makes it easy to engage and disengage. Custom installation kit included. While initially I was frustrated with what was potentially going to be super slow shipping, the customer service at etrailer was fantastic. We ended up getting the hitch we ordered in a timely fashion and it came with easy to use instructions. The worst part was trying to cut the hole in the bed of the truck, but ended up working out fine. thank you etrailer! Excellent customer service. 553194
My son and I bought the Hide-a-Goose set up for his 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab. The shipping of the 111 lbs. packages (came in 2 boxes) was fast! Upon arrival, the instructions were right-on and easy to follow. We took our time and the installation went off without a hitch(pun intended!). We purchased the "no drilling required" kit and the only holes needed were through the truck bed. George kept us updated and we really appreciate the guys at etrailer. I highly recommend their products and would most definitely buy from etrailer again! Thanks guys! Leon W. 246677
I have bought from etrailer for many years now. Many hitches from a 2005 Toyota highlander hitch and wiring, to a 2012 Chrysler town and country hitch and wiring, brake controller to my most recent one a 2008 dodge ram mega cab gooseneck hitch. Every part I have bought have fit without any modification. The YouTube videos are specially helpful. I've recieved my shipment a few days ago which was way faster then I expected. Today i woke up ready to install it, I read the instructions and watched the YouTube video went under my truck bed and started working on it. I did mess up on the hole for the ball but that was my oops. Very satisfied. 501465
Defiantly you need a lift Make life a little easier All parts and acc pack was complete Directions easy to understand Take your time Like the hide away hitch system Great investment For me 698224
This hitch is as good as any other. Well worth the money. I’ve installed and used a BW hitch on my previous truck and this one is just as easy to install and works just as good for a lot less money. If you are on the fence about what hitch to get, I highly recommend this one. 695117
Shipping was quick and product was just as described. Easy to install and works just as it should. 695084
Great product, easy install l highly recommend it. Thanks 641432
Haven't used the product yet but have finished the installation myself. After opening the boxes and noticing that there were no sort of installation tools included I was disappointed and felt a little misled by the product description title considering it says "with custom installation kit" in the title. Besides that the installation went smoothly after I acquired the proper drill bits after discovering it actually did not come with what I would call a "custom installation kit". So, for everyone thinking about buying this you will need 5/16", 9/16", 1/4" drill bits and a 3.5" hole saw. 577433
It took me about a year to get around to putting it in... I didn't have to take out the exhaust like the video says. I have a 2012 short bed Cummins 4x4. Getting the bars in is fascinating. Everything is super heavy so you'll need help for sure. 564042
Very happy with the item, easy install 563769
Received part of the hitch. Had to wait call 3 times to get the rest of the parts. Will see if all there lost the day I had set to do the hitch, so will let know when I have installed. 529654
The installation video on the website was extremely helpful. Went right in. I am sad though that it has MADE IN CHINA stamped all over it. Forgot to check that before I bought it. 518597
Works great and was easy to install. 508438
Fit just like it was designed to. Has worked perfectly to date. 504547
Very please with the customer service and the hitch! I called etrailer.com to verify the hitch would fit my 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 dually, as I wasn't entirely sure the application was the same for a standard bed and a dually. Lindy was extremely helpful, and I was able to place my order with her right over the phone. The hitch arrived on time, and I was able to install it with no significant problems. I say 'significant problems', as the custom exhaust installed by the previous owner was in the way, but that's a problem with my truck, not the hitch. A recommendation: get a computer, or tablet, or phone, and use the video for installation. The video was (by far!) the best explanation on how to install the hitch. I used both the video and the written instructions, and occasionally the written instructions made me scratch my head. The video immediately cleared up any confusion. A word of caution, though, don't throw out the written instructions. They have the measuring distance for drilling the holes in the bed and the torque specs for the bolts. The whole installation took about four hours, from pulling the truck into the garage to putting everything away after installing the hitch. Most of that time was trying to maneuver around the non-standard exhaust, though. If my truck had the factory exhaust, I figure it would have been about two to two and a half hours for installation. The only tool I had to get was the correct size hole saw for drilling out the bed to install the ball. Everything else in the installation just requires basic hand tools and a decent socket set. Overall, it was an easy installation, and a great product. I would highly recommend this hitch, and will purchase it again if, or when, I get another truck. 504530
great product. very easy to install. took just under 2 hours to do in a driveway. I have had no issues with it at all and would recommend this hitch to anyone on a budget, because it does the same thing that the expensive brands can do asst an affordable price. 500048
Turned out great took a couple hours to install .The installation videos are very helpfull and went in just like they said 497792
easy to install. took my about 3 hours to install the hitch and some airbags on a lift. great functionality, easy use, little maintenance required. make sure you have the right size hole saw....i didnt...ended up using a die grinder and a cut off wheel. also...kind of hard to find a hole saw that size at 1am... 488287
Works great, allows me to use bed of pickup when not used for towing RV. Wonder why more people don't go this way instead of 5th wheel that uses up pickup bed. 485279
Still works great. Best part is that it is completely out of the way.
Draw-tite is the Most easy hitch to install!!!! I have had more expensive hitches on other trucks let me tell you Draw-Tite is just as good as the higher priced ones I have had ...I all so like to add. etrailer is a great place to deal with great prices. The people are very very easy to deal with and do everything thay can to make you happy.... They will get all my business for sure...!!!!!!!! 472665

I was very impressed with the quality of this hitch. I had it installed in just over one hour. Etrailer shipped the day I ordered and best of all paid the shipping. You can't go wrong with this company and its emploees. 451099
It's a really good pitch for me 441633
This was my first time installing a gooseneck hitch. I found the instruction to be very informative and simple. Had it together in no time. I would recommend this hitch to anyone 437373
I like this hide-a-gooseneck hitch. It was easy to install. The only draw back is it takes two people to set the ball. I would recommend this product. 428413
I havent installed this part yet but it looks like im missing a few bolts...... other than that its good thick metal and looks heavy duty. the box it came in was heavily damaged, maybe a bag of bolts slipped out i dont know, but every thing else seems to be ok........ 401486
all parts were in the box. despite heavy damage to box. parts fit on perfectly. and works great. NO issues so far
Great product, easy install, works perfect and the price was excellent. All the parts and included hardware were accounted for and went together fine. 399834
the product worked just fine, installation directions where to a tee. nice work guys! 389513
Great product, easy installation, just don't like the cheap magnetic cover for the hitch. That's the only bad thing. 389450
Excellent, even with my 5" exhaust it fit no problem, an easy 2 hour install. Arrived quickly, great price, very sturdy, 370671
Fantastic product, installed easily, looks great in the truck and does everything I wanted it to. I preferred this hitch over the b & w. 368328
Easy to install and use looks great I'm very pleased with my draw tite hide a goose 359522
I have installed quite a few hitches in customers trucks. This hitch is very straight forward and easy to put in. You don't have to drill any holes, it's all bolt in. If you are familiar with installing these, one person and a helper can usually tackle this job in less than 2 hours. The hitch is well made and all the parts are powder coated, so rust is not an issue. The ball is hardened and chrome plated, and is very easy to remove and flip over if you need the room in the bed. To top it off Etrailer has the most reasonable prices I have found and always free shipping. I would recommend this product to another person. 352808
This was easily installed and fit my needs exactly. Easy to flip over for towing or to use the truck bed. It tows my fifth wheel trailer without any issues. This is a great product. 349006
Great
This product was delivered within days. Went in easy and it still working great. 348817
I haven't had the chance to use it a lot but I was very happy with etrailer.com. I got the the gooseneck hitch in a timely manner and installing it was fairly easy. 347808
Good product, exactly as described. There's was a fairly important detail missed in the install video, but I was able to get an answer from their technical dept in 30 minutes on a Sunday. Good customer service. 343820
Great product, solid with a stout design. Easy install with the help of their well put together instruction video. The hitch was delivered on time but the packaging was a little rough. After we opened the box we noticed the ball was missing. After contacting the folks at eTrailer, they sent out a replacement, no questions asked. I would recommend eTrailer and this product to anybody looking to install a new gooseneck hitch on their truck. 336741
Great hitch, strong hitch and simple in stall 329120
Great product for the price! I installed it in my truck within a few hours at home. fit perfectly and the day after I installed it I pulled over 15,000 pounds and pulled great! Great instructions, and good quality just wish I was made in the USA! 326734
As good as B
Easy installation all though the instructions make it seem otherwise. Well built product comes with everything you need to get your gooseneck on the road. 325125
Pretty darn sweet. 306329
Im sure its great. I havent installed it. Deal fell through on goiseneck trailer
The product is excellent!! couldn't be happier with the purchase!! Fast and friendly service and it was great to get a call to make sure verbally and first hand that the shipping address was correct!!! will definitely purchase from here again in the near future!!! 302916
I have used this same gooseneck hitch before and know that the quality of the item is great. The shipment and price through etrailer.com was definitely a 5 star they contacted me to check up with my shipment and the price was the best I could find. Very satisfied and will definitely be glad to do business with etrailer.com again in the future! 302393
after waiting two weeks for another on-line company to ship the hitch I order, then being told three more weeks for it to be shipped I cancelled order and reorder from etrailer and received it in three days, box was torn open but every thing was there. It did not take 90 minutes about 3 hours still not bad. Hitch looks good have to wait to try it 299571
Installed this by myself except for help to lift the ball hitch assembly into place and bolt it up. I did this in my garage with out a hoist or jack stands. I am 75 years old--you can do it too!! 291519
Hitch is outstanding unit and would highly recommend to all. Installation is 50% easer to install with a hydraulic left instead of crawling around on a floor creeper. There is no need to cut or remove anything on your truck except for the ball opening, just hard to muscle laying on your back. But guess what all gooseneck installations are this way. 284101
