With the B&W Turnoverball underbed gooseneck trailer hitch you get the best of both worlds. When you go to tow, the Turnoverball creates a sturdy, dependable connection with your gooseneck trailer. And when you're done towing, you can stow the ball upside down in the hitch to get full bed access and a clean appearance.

Easy-to-Remove, Simple-to-Store Hitch Ball

The durable steel hitch ball included with the Turnoverball system secures in the hitch with a sturdy, 5/8" thick steel pin that is incorporated into the end of the operating handle. To lock the ball in place, drop it into the hitch hole in the bed of your truck. Then rotate the handle in your driver's-side wheel well counterclockwise until the latch engages. When the latch is engaged, the spring-loaded pin on the end of the handle will be inserted all the way through the base of the hitch ball, forming a strong, solid connection and ensuring absolute security when you're towing.

B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Operation

When you're done towing, remove the hitch ball by simply pulling the handle out as far as it will go and then rotating it clockwise until it unlatches. Remove the ball, flip it upside down, and drop it back into the ball hole of the hitch. Then reengage the latch to secure the stowed ball in place.

Unlike typical gooseneck balls - which have round bases - the Turnoverball hitch ball is designed with a square base. This makes latching the ball in the hitch easier because the base won't rotate inside of the hitch like a round base might, so lining the pin up is a snap. The base of the ball also fits tightly within the ball hole during storage. Because only the corners of the base contact the sides of the socket, any dirt or grime that gets into the hitch will fall through the socket, thus helping to prevent any buildup that could cause the ball to seize up in the hitch.

Simple, Custom Installation

This hitch is custom designed for your vehicle. The included mounting brackets bolt to existing holes in your truck's frame. While some modification is required - you will need to cut a 4" diameter hole in your bed for the hitch ball and drill holes for the built-in safety chain loops - there is no need to weld onto or to drill into your frame.

Once you have the hitch brackets and body installed, set up the operating handle. This handle is designed to be accessed from the rear driver's-side wheel well. On the end of the handle is the heavy-duty steel pin that secures the hitch ball.

B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Accessories

B&W makes it easy to tow just about anything. With the many adapters and accessories available, the Turnoverball can be made to work with almost any gooseneck trailer. Hitch balls are available that have a built-in rise, an offset, and even a different connection type. Add on the Companion fifth-wheel hitch - which attaches directly to the Turnoverball with no other parts required - and you can tow your fifth-wheel trailer. Even a truck bed utility rack is available so that you can easily haul ladders and lumber with the load placed on the hitch (and therefore your truck's frame) instead of your bed rails.

Video Transcript for Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Today on our 2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty, we're going to be installing the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with Custom Installation Kit, part number BWGNRK1111. This kit is designed to work with the B&W Fifth Wheel Companion Hitch, part number BWGNRK1111-5W. Here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now, let's go over the operation of it. To unlock the pin, you'll reach into the wheel well, pull out on the handle, and rotate it forward. Now, the pin is in the unlock position.

Once our gooseneck ball has been installed, we'll come back to the wheel well where we'll release the pin latching the ball in place. Now when you don't need to use your gooseneck ball anymore, you'll come back to the wheel well, pull the pin back to the open position, turn the gooseneck ball over, putting it back down into the receiver, and then releasing the latch here in the wheel well. Now, we'll show you how to install it. We're going to first need to go ahead and lower down the spare tire, and set it out of the way for now. We will be reinstalling this at the end of the installation. Next, we're going to go ahead and remove each of the rear wheels, just to give ourselves a little more working room and allow you to see things a little bit better.Next, we're going to need to mark our bed, but we're going to need to drill our hole.

I will go ahead and take our tape measure. We'll set it over the end of the bed. Now that we've measured from the rear of the bed, up to the distance specified in the instructions, go ahead and put a mark here. Next, we're going to need to measure the distance between the wheel wells, and find the center point. Now that we have our mark, well go ahead and take our pilot bit.

Well drill a pilot hole down through the bed. Next, well go ahead and take our hole saw. Go ahead and drill our hole out. Now, weve come underneath the vehicle. Next, were going to need to remove this heat shield here from underneath the passenger side. To do that, were just going to take a pry bar.

Slide it up underneath. Go ahead and work the heat shield off the underside of the bed, and it will not be reinstalled. Next, were going to need to lower down the exhaust. Before we do that, were going to go ahead and install a safety strap here at the back portion of the exhaust just to give it a little bit of support once we removed the bracket. Now that our strap is emplaced, were going to need to remove this exhaust bracket right here. To do that, well need to take this bolt out here as well as the bolt out up there. Well then use our safety strap to lower the exhaust down a little.Next, were going to come over here to the driver side wheel well, and were going to need to cut a small notch in this lip here to allow the cross members of the gooseneck to fit in place. Well measure back as per the instructions. Now to cut this notch out here, you can use either a pair of tinsnips or even a rotary tool with the proper cutoff wheel. Next, were ready to install the cross members. Well begin with the rear cross member. In the right rear side, well have the double-notch in it like this. This right here is how to be positioned once its in its final place underneath the bed. Now, well be using the notch that we just cut in the driver side fender wheel to help us slide the cross members in.Now when installing this front cross member, over on the passenger side, we have to go up and over the shock mount. Now, maybe helpful to use a rubber mallet to help you slide the cross member in just past this shock mount. We also used a pair of pliers to help angle the cross member up. Now, we have to clear the edge of the shock bracket. Now on this particular vehicle, the bed was crushed in a little bit, so we needed to use a pry bar and a rubber mallet to help us work the cross member over the shock mount. Now that we have our cross bracket emplaced, we can go ahead and take a pair of pliers, and twist it up into position.Next, were ready to install the front cross member. When its in position, it will be positioned like this underneath the bed. Now that we have our front cross member emplaced, again we had to use a rubber mallet and a pry bar on this one because our bed is so bent. Go ahead and take our pliers, and well twist it up into position. Now to make things a little bit easier and so that youre not fighting the exhaust, were going to go ahead and were going to remove this back section of exhaust. To do that, were going to need to remove the nut here, here, and one right there.Once we have the three nuts removed, were going to need to use a little bit of spray lubricant to remove this rubber exhaust hanger as well as this one right here. Now, well go ahead and use a large pry bar to help work the rubber exhaust hanger spray. Now, its a good idea to get an extra set of hands to help you raise this center section up into position. You want to make sure that the latch mechanism is on the driver side. Next, lets go over the hardware that well be using to attach the center section to each of the cross members. Therell be a total of six locations. The hardware will be the same for all six locations. Well be using a half-inch by inch-and-a-half hex bolt, using a half-inch flat washer, a half-inch lock washer, and a half-inch hex nut.Go ahead and take the bolt and a flat washer. Go through the cross member and into the center section. Well then install the lock washer and the hex nut. Well go ahead and repeat the same process for the other five mounting locations. Next, were ready to go ahead and install our side plates. Well begin over here on the driver side. Well be attaching here, here, and these three locations, the side plate will attach to the frame. Now to attach the side plate to the cross members, well again be using the half-inch by inch-and-a-half hex bolt with a half-inch flat washer. Well then install a half-inch lock washer, and finally, a half-inch hex nut. This will be the same hardware at all four locations, two on each side to secure the side plate to the cross member.Next, lets go over the hardware that well be using to attach our driver side, side plate to the vehicles frame. For this center hole here, well be using a three-quarter-inch bolt. This special square washer, it goes like that. This will then feed from the backside of the frame. Well then feed this spacer on to the three-quarter-inch bolt, and it will go in between the vehicles frame and the side plate. Well then put a three-quarter-inch lock washer on, followed by a three-quarter-inch hex nut. Well go ahead and reach in underneath. With our three-quarter-inch bolt emplaced, well raise the side plate up, slide our spacer on. Well then install the three-quarter-inch lock washer, and then the hex nut.Next, lets go over the hardware that well be using for the smaller holes or the forward and rear mounting location on the side plates. This will be the same hardware you used on both the driver and the passenger side. Well be using a half-inch by inch-and-a-half hex bolt that will feed in from the backside. Im going to be adding a half-inch washer, a half-inch lock washer, and finally, a half-inch hex nut. This will be the same at the other three mounting locations. The only difference in hardware between the driver and the passenger side is for the three-quarter-inch bolt, well be using a round three-quarter-inch washer instead of the square washer for this location right here.Next, well go ahead and tighten, and torque to the manufacturers specification the six locations to secure the center section to the cross members. Next, were going to need to take a couple measurements to make sure that our hitch is square in the vehicle. If the hitch or the hole in the receiver is not square, some B&W accessories may not work properly. Next, well go ahead and tighten down our three-quarter-inch bolt. Well then go ahead and tighten down the forward and back bolt securing the side plate. Now that weve got our hardware all tight here, well go ahead and torque it down to the manufacturers specification. Well repeat the same process over on the passenger side. The final locations that we need to tighten and torque to the manufacturers specification are right here and here. Thats what attaches the side plate to the cross members. Well need to repeat this same process on both the driver and the passenger side. Next, were going to need to install the latch pin release handle. Well go ahead and take the end with the rubber piece on it. Well feed it through this hole right here. Go up and over the top of the frame, coming out into the driver side wheel well. Well then take the handle and go in front of the latch pin, so it will look like that. To secure it, well be using a five-sixteenths carriage bolt and a five-sixteenths locking flange nut. We can then go ahead and tighten down the flange nut.Next, were going to need to drill some holes to install the U-bolts for the safety chains. Well be using the two holes closest to the center round receiver tube on both sides. Well be using a half-inch drill bit to drill these holes out. Now that we have our holes drilled out, well go ahead and come up here into the bed. Well need to drop the U-bolts down through the two holes. Well go ahead and install a spring that looks like this. It will go the larger side on first. Well then install a lock nut on to the threads. Well go ahead and repeat this for the other three locations. Now when tightening down the nut, you want to make sure that you tighten the nut down, so that the threads are even with the bottom side of the nut.Next, well go ahead and reinstall our exhaust. Next, were going to need to install a bracket that helps lower the exhaust down, and heres the reason why. You can see right here on the rear cross member, our exhaust is hitting it. Heres what our bracket looks like. Were going to need to take the quarter-inch carriage bolt. Slide it through the bracket like this. Were going to need to slide it in the underneath the factory bracket, so it looks like that. Well then put a locking flange nut under that quarter-inch carriage bolt. Next, were going to take a five-sixteenths carriage bolt. Well angle the bracket. Well go through the hole right here and come back through the bottom bracket like that. Well then install a locking flange nut under this one as well.Next, well come back into the wheel well. Were going to need to install this spacer that looks like this behind these two set of holes. Now to attach the bracket to the frame, were going to be using a five-sixteenths carriage bolt and a five-sixteenths locking flange nut. This will be the same hardware for both holes. Now with the two carriage bolts emplaced, go ahead and put both of the locking flange nuts on, and then we can tighten down all the hardware. Now with our bracket installed to lower the exhaust down, we can see now that we have clearance between the exhaust pipe and the rear cross member of the hitch.Next, we can go ahead and reinstall both of the rear wheels as well as for the spare tire back up into position. That will do it for the installation of the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, part number BWGNRK1111, on our 2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty. .

Install this heavy-duty hitch on your vehicle so that you can securely tow your gooseneck trailer. Store the removable ball upside down in the hitch when you aren't towing to get complete bed access. Square ball base won't turn in hitch.

The hitch works great and installing the hitch wasn't bad at all even for just one person. The instructions were clear and the pictures they included were helpful. The only thing I had a problem with was one of the boxes were damaged and one of the small brackets were slightly bent, but I didn't need it anyways b/c it was for the diesel models and mine is a gas. I don't blame etrailer or B&W for that. Maybe B&W could use heavier boxes. All in all I had a good experience. etrailer.com was easy and great to buy from and B&W has a great product. 454700

So far I have been very happy with the B&W gooseneck ball hitch. I haven’t put a whole lot of milesuse on it but every time I use it with my gooseneck it preforms like it should. If I have any other needs trailer related I plan on giving your website a look first. Thanks and happy holidays!

Great hitch and like it. Until I used the drop in fifth wheel plate by B&W (RVK3500). There is a bolt u have tighten up to secure the hitch down. When I tightened it to 60 foot pounds it bent the main pin in the hitch. After fighting the pin to release now the pin is bent. And i cant use the gooseneck ball. And I can't remove the pin to replace it unless I remove the hitch. So long story short the gooseneck plate is good and works great as a gooseneck. But don't buy it planning to use the fifth wheel plate. Won't buy that again. 491492

After speaking with one of our contacts in the Tech Services department at B and W and was told that really the only way the ball retention pin can get bent is if its not slid fully into place when that draw-down bolt is torqued down. Please call us if you have further questions.

Great product and instructions were easy to follow. Prompt shipping and hitch delivered in secure boxes with no issues. Clean install in my Ford F-350 dually. It took about 6 hours (taking my time) doing it myself with a floor jack and the necessary tools. Could be done a lot faster with two people. Also, just cut the notch (you'll see what I'm talking about in the instructions), but not according to the measurements given. Use the cross member as a cutting guide. It will make the install a lot easier. etrailer is awesome! 403541

How good is free shipping, our Order was placed about 8pm est on Thursday Jan 19th, and arrived Jan 25th before I returned from work at 4pm. Just sold the F-150 I installed the previous B&W fifth wheel hide a ball hitch in. Love this hitch set up, after arriving at a campground and unhooking the camper I have FULL use of the truck bed. Install of round two begins in the morning, directions are simple and easy to understand. George J from E-trailer has been keeping me updated with information about my delivery status and made himself available had I had any questions. Wife and I have been camping for about four years, on our second RV and now our third truck and have been totally satisfied ordering everything we needed from E-trailer over that time, (about 18-20 orders to date) adding to the great products E-trailer provides is the HOW TO DIY videos on many products. 335458

I am glad to say that with a little help from Tiffany at etrailer ordering my new B and M hitch was a breeze. I was Uncertain about the part number for my superduty ford, and she made it easy for me to understand. She was very noligable about the product and assured me that it would be the right fit. WOW, to actually have a real live person answer the phone without being put on hold was shocking. E Trailer you did agreat job! Order shipped that day and was at my house 2 days later. Its nice to know that we still have a US company making a great product right here in the good ol US of A. God bless America and with companies like etrailer and B and M my faith has been restored. Thank you for a job well done! Give etrailer a try for your towing hardware, I think you will be glad you did. Greg 721940

This kit is an exact fit for my truck. The install was fairly easy but definitely not a 2 hour install like one guy made it out to be, he must have had lots of help and it on a lift. My install was 4.5 hours. My biggest problem was the drivers side front bolts, I dropped that bolt about 3 times and hunted it till I found it. Finally reaching over the urea tank top I got that bolt in place. Foregoing that 1 bolt I would have been finished in 3.5 hours. It fit exactly the way it was designed and looks fantastic. 702689

Very well made, The paint could be a little better, but this is a very strong hitch. It should never wear out. 695088

This is a super-nice hitch setup. I decided on this style of hitch to pull my fifth wheel trailer as I also haul a truck camper from time to time. It's easy enough to unhook the companion part of the hitch and set it out, leaving a completely flat bed with no rails. Although it's quite heavy, I just utilize the winch on my ATV over a pulley in my shop to raise and lower it. I installed the turnover ball myself. It took me a couple hours but it wasn't difficult. The hardest part was drilling the hole in the bed of the truck. Actually, the actually drilling wasn't too bad, it was putting a hole in my new truck that was difficult! The instructions are real clear and easy to follow. This part is kind of heavy too when you're maneuvering it up under the bed but I managed by myself just fine. Here's a tip: I put a piece of pipe across the bed rails of my truck and used a ratchet strap from the pipe down through the hole to hold the frame up against the bottom of the bed while I bolted it in place. Pretty easy really. Recommended. 686532

Easy install about 2 hours. Only struggled getting the plate into position because working by myself. The angle iron is a little tight going in. Make sure you hold upward pressure on it when you tap it into place so you don't dent the box from underneath. The video is exactly how it goes in except for one small thing. After I maneuvered the plate into position over the exhaust I had to unbolt the fixture that the brake lines run through to get clearance, not a big deal only one bolt! Anyone can do it that can turn a wrench and run a drill! Now that I have done one I could probably do it again in only one hour. 637384

Built well and works well. Put the first few hours of towing on it the past weekend and it worked great. Installation in a 2013 F350 was a bit difficult but the instructions were spot on. in order to get the cross members in some cutting needed to be done and the exhaust needed to be slightly dropped in order to get the plate in without damaging any part of the Def system. Other than that great product. 636856

good quality product. packaged neatly with no missing pieces. nice paint finish. fairly straight forward to install with included instructions. cross rails need a little persuasion to get in place. on my f350 longbed 6.7 I had to unbolt 3 bolts on rear tailpipe section and lower it to install the main hitch assembly. very satisfied. 606468

This is a great gooseneck hitch. The turnover ball is simple to use and looks great. The steel is much thicker than with other brands, but that also makes it a bit more difficult to install. Also, the exhaust on my truck had to be lowered 3/4" for clearance. A lowering plate was provided with the hitch and with rear air bags it made things slightly more difficult, but we were able to get the job done and I am really happy with the results. I would recommend this hitch to anyone who hauls heavy loads and needs peace-of-mind. 605978

Great product. Love the way it works with my BWRVK3500 hitch. Like the clean bed when hitch is removed. Having an extra pair of hands when installing is a must. Direction were clear and easy to follow. 500315

Can't beat American made for quality, ease of installation and thorough instructions. B&W has done excellent vehicle specific research regarding installation. Just installed my hitch on my wife's 2016 F250 Super Duty. I will need to do some minor mods to accommodate the release handle due to after market fender well liners. Should be no problem. Primary use for the hitch will be to tow a stock trailer for the transportation of our bison. Thanks to eTrailer for easy purchasing, accurate shipping, detailed descriptions and excellent customer service. You have a repeat customer. 486193

This is my second turnover hitch. going from a 1999 F350 flatbed to a 2012 F 350 pickup, I bought the GNRK 1111 plate and plan on using the old 5th wheel hitch with a new base. to me this is the perfect setup being able to fully use the box when not towing. between the instructions and the video installation was a walk in the park. 469816

This is the second B&W hitch I have purchased. One is on a 2002 F 250 and the second is on a 2016 F 350. Installation is simple and straight forward with detailed instructions(moderate mechanical skills and tools should be considered before installing). We use this hitch along with the B&W Companion fifth wheel hitch to pull our toy hauler. We chose the Companion and B&W because when we are not towing, the hitch comes out of the bed and leaves a flat floor to allow us to use the entire truck bed. When I decide to replace the 2002 F 250, I will once again purchase a B&W hitch for that one as well. 455025

Isuzu Rodeo

Not my first rodeo with etrailer. Great company to do business with. The B&W Turnover hitch is a great product. I use it with my B&W Companion 5th wheel hitch, which also came from etrailer. Quality is tops with B&W and service is priority with etrailer. No, I do not work for them, just a loyal customer who was sold by their service. And, by the way, you can search the internet for a better price and probably will not find one. 407662

Do you have a question about this Gooseneck?

  • Recommended Air Bags for a 2015 Ford F-250 4x4 with B&W Gooseneck Hitch
  • For a set of airbags that will work on your 2015 Ford F-250 with the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # BWGNRK1111, I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2597 but you will also need the Relocation Bracket for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F5722 if you have a diesel engine. In order to use these with the gooseneck hitch you will need to remove the center bolt for the side bracket, place the upper airbag bracket though this bolt,...

  • Air Springs to Fit with B&W Turnoverball in 2016 Ford F-250 Short Bed Diesel
  • I recommend the Firestone, part # F2597, air bag kit for your 2016 Ford F-250. It installs on the inside of the frame where your B&W Turnoverball, part # BWGNRK1111, installs on the outside. They do share a bolt hole, and coincidently a bolt, so you may need to source a longer one to fit through both products. I've linked the install details, as well as videos, for both products so you can see how they each install ahead of time. In your short bed diesel there is an exhaust sensor...

  • Troubleshooting Squeaking B and W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch After Greasing it
  • Most likely the issue is not the ball of your B and W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch part # BWGNRK1111 and it's the coupler on your trailer. You can inspect the ball though and make sure it's not damaged in any way. For a replacement we have the part # BWGNXA2000. Depending on what coupler your trailer has it could have an inner tube on it that could be replaced. I'd have to know what coupler you have or see a picture to verify if we could help with that.
