Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Curt round gooseneck coupler with the low bearing pin and clip. Has an eight inch height adjustment and a 25,000 pound capacity. Now this gooseneck coupler is gonna let you hook up your gooseneck trailer to your tow vehicle. It is designed to fit onto a standard gooseneck ball size of 2 and 5/16 inches. And this is a weld on installation.

This outer tube right up here is what'll weld directly to your gooseneck trailer. The outer tube width is four and a quarter inches. The inner tube, which will adjust up or down is four inches in width. This is a sturdy steel construction. Now you can adjust this coupler to work with trucks of different heights.

It does have a eight inch range of range of adjustment. There's four holes along the inner tube down here. This will help you find the right height for your application. The hole spacing between the adjustment holes is 2 and 11/16 inches. And as we mentioned, it does include this three quarter inch load bearing pin with the clip to put it at whatever height you want it at.

Now this overall height of this coupler when this is fully retracted is 29 inches. When it's fully extended is 37 inches. So that's your eight inch range of adjustment. Now I want to zoom in onto the bottom here where it connects. This is a self centering locking plate.

This will secure onto your gooseneck ball, provides a nice strong, tight fit. Even if you miss the mark by more than an inch, it'll still hook up. Basically the way to hook it up, you have this locking pin handle right over here you can see, you swing it open and it is spring loaded. Basically what you'll do is lift the locking pin handle into the open position. So up here is your open position. So if you lift up on this and then just swing it over, that's gonna hold that into the open position. Now you can lower this coupler onto the gooseneck ball. Once you get it onto the ball, just turn this and you can see it pops it back down into the closed position and then just swing it that way out of the way, locks onto the ball. Now the spring loaded handle makes a nice easy hookup and if you look closely right here, this spring latching mechanism is hidden to protect all the moving parts from any damage. I want to zoom back out. Once you set the coupler at the correct height, these two set screws right up here, you'll see on the outer tube. These will secure the inner tube at your desired height. So once you hook it or get it to your height adjustment for your application and you lock it into place and you put your pin in to hold it, then you'll set these set screws to keep it at that desired height. Again, the weight capacity on this, you can tow up to 25,000 pounds.
