Rob: Hey, everybody. Rob here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Husky Liners WeatherBeater Custom Cargo Liner on our 2016 Cadillac Escalade. Everybody wants to keep the inside of their Escalade as nice as long as possible. And the rear cargo area is not really going to be any different, because whether we have groceries or we have gear from camping or whatever we're doing, we use this area to put all our stuff. Well, underneath the mat, if you look it's all carpet, nobody wants to spend a bunch of time cleaning that carpet, trying to scrub out all the dirt, mud, or whatever else is in there, so our cargo liner is going to make sure all those contaminants stay off the carpet and contained to the mat.

And the raised sidewalls on our mats are going to make sure all those contaminants stay on there. The fact that it's a one large piece is going to make sure there's no seams, where any water debris can seep down and cause any kind of stains underneath.And our cargo liner is going to come in three different colors. Here you can see it, the tan color, and it matches the interior pretty well. But it's also going to come in gray or black, so you just want to pick whichever one is going to compliment the interior of your Escalade the best. The entire mat is going to have these ribs and channels on it.

The channels are going to help divert the water away from our gear, and the ribs are going to elevate it just enough to where it's not sitting in standing water. And the fact that the mat's made out of a rubberized thermoplastic means it's going to withstand most automotive chemicals like gasoline, road salts, and even oil. So no matter what we put back here, we know this mat's going to hold up for a long time.Now, one thing I do want to mention is our mat is made to go into the back when the rear seats are folded down. So if I pull the mat back a little bit, you can actually see the rear seats are folded down. And it's sticking out of the back, so we wouldn't be able to fold those up with the mat in place.

So obviously, if we're having all that gear and everything that possibly is dirty or wet, the mat's going to get dirty, because it's containing it all before it gets to the carpet. Well, fortunately for us, the mats are extremely easy to take it in and out and easy to clean. If it's a small mat, we can just take some soap and water and a rag, just wipe it down. Or if we have a bigger mess, we can get some mild soap and water and hose it off, really scrub in there, and let it air dry, and we can put it back in place.But like I said, it's extremely easy, because there's nothing really holding it in place except just the shape of it. So when we want to pull it out, you can just grab it.

It's extremely lightweight, and it's out in a matter of seconds. At the same time, when we put it in, we have something big, dirty, anything like that we need to put in the back, just slide the mat right back in, and we don't have to worry about any of those stains or trying to clean the carpet after the fact.
