This extension gives you the functionality of a 7-way connection, but without any pins or blades to bend or break. It's designed to work with matching EZ Connector sockets to create secure, watertight connections that last. Strong magnets in the plugs keep the connection tight and secure, even when you're flat towing on rough terrain. Built-in O-rings create a seal to keep out water and debris. And spring-loaded, face-to-face electrical contacts are long-lasting and easy to clean. These factors combine for a strong, durable connection that's easy to use and to maintain, making your flat towing experience smoother than ever.

Magnetic Plugs Stay Connected

The EZ Connector system uses magnets inside the plugs and sockets to hold the connectors together. Simply insert the plugs into the socket on your RV and the one on your towed car, and the internal magnets will snap them together, no latch needed. To disconnect, just pull the plugs out by hand.

This is an improvement over typical connectors, which rely on a plastic latch on the socket lid to hold the plug in place. With any connector it can be easy to forget to disconnect the wiring when you unhook your towed vehicle. If you drive off without disconnecting a standard 7-way plug, the connector will get pulled out of the socket, likely tearing off the lid. Without a lid, the electrical terminals are exposed to damaging moisture and debris. But if you forget to remove the EZ Connector plug when unhooking your towed car from your RV, the plug will disconnect from the receptacle as you drive off. And because there's no latch on the socket's lid to get in the way, the lid will automatically close to cover the terminals.

The magnets inside of the trailer connectors are made of neodymium, an extra-strong, rare-earth alloy. The high-quality magnets ensure a tight connection between the connectors that is stable enough to make it through intense bumps and road vibration.

Silicon O-Rings Create Watertight Seal

These plugs each have a double silicon O-ring that creates a watertight seal when the plug is inserted into the connector.

Plug in Holder

A storage holder is included for each plug to keep them safe and dry when they're not in use. These convenient holders can be attached to your RV so that they are always available when you need them. Simply plug in the connector, and the plug's O-rings will create a watertight seal with the holder, just as they do with the vehicle-end socket. This ensures that the terminals on these plugs stay protected from moisture and debris at all times.

All of the EZ Connector systems have earned a perfect score on the SAE water submersion test. This means that the seal created on these plugs, either with the plug holder or with the EZ Connector vehicle-end socket, will stay watertight, even if the connectors are completely submerged in water for extended periods of time.

No Pins or Blades to Bend or Break

Contacts

These EZ Connector plugs have spring-loaded, face-to-face electrical contacts instead of pins or blades. Pins and blades can bend, corrode, and even break off, which can lead to a permanently damaged connection. With the EZ Connector system, there are no pins or blades to bend or break. Because there are no pins or blades, there are also no pin sockets on these connectors that can trap debris. And if any dirt or debris does collect on the terminals of either end of an EZ Connector setup, it can be quickly and easily wiped away. No more scraping pins to get grime off. The result of all of this is a quality, effective connection every time you plug in.

Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this six foot long EZ Connector magnetic extension cord with the seven-way trailer connectors on each end. Now, this seven-way extension will let you easily run power from your RV to your tow vehicle using the EZ Connector system. This part here will include the six foot long extension cord, the two plug holders, and then the hardware to install the plug holders. Now, if you're not familiar with the EZ Connector system, what that does is it uses magnets inside the plugs and sockets to hold your connectors together.

We do sell those plugs and sockets separately on our website. To give you an idea of what we're talking about, there's one of the sockets that this will plug into. You can see they will line up to get you your wiring connections. Basically, you just simply insert the plug into the socket on your RV and the one on your tow car and the internal magnets will snap them together. There's no latch needed.

To disconnect, you just pull the plugs out by hand. They do use powerful magnets in the plugs, which will join with the magnets in those EZ Connector sockets. To keep your connection secure, there is a thumb notch basically on the plug, so it allows for a nice, easy alignment. You just twist the plug until the tabs line up and the connector snaps into place. The plugs do stay tightly connected despite bumps and vibrations common with towing.

It also gives you face to face electrical contacts. There's no pins or blades to bend or break, so it eliminates any concerns about electrical arcing. The contacts are also very easy to clean when necessary. Also, this is ideal for marine applications 'cause they do use a nice double O-ring right here on each plug. So when they do connect in place, it creates a nice watertight seal with the socket to keep out any moisture and debris.

Also, they use a water block powder inside the cable to keep moisture away from your wiring. Now, we mentioned these plug holders. These are included. These will keep the contacts clean and protected. It'll secure the plugs in these receptacles while they're not being used. You'll just attach them some place where you need to, you can lift that open, and again, you can see there's no magnets in here that's gonna make electrical connection. These are just for storing it, but you'll be able to see how that works. They just plug in there and they're magnetically connect it. And then to remove 'em, it does take a little effort to pull them out, but you just store 'em in place like that. And then one on the other side. Now these parts are made in the USA. And again, the length on this cable is six foot long. But that's gonna do it for a look at this six foot long EZ connector magnetic extension cord with the seven-way trailer connectors.

I installed an EZ connector on the rear of my RV and another on the front of my Jeep Wrangler. Now, when I tow the Jeep while RVing, I never have to worry about the taillights, brake-lights, or turn signals because EZ connectors are the most reliable trailer electrical connector period.
