Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this Blue Ox Tow Bar Wiring Kit. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2005 to 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, Cobalt Sport, and the Cobalt SS. Also fits the 2006 to 2011 Chevrolet HHR and the HHR Sport and the 2007 to 2010 Pontiac G5.Now on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year, model vehicle, and it'll show you if this will work for your application. This tow bar wiring kit will connect to your tow vehicle's wiring to provide taillights, turn signals, and brake lights while towing.
It includes all the necessary components and detailed instructions. Comes with the nice dust cover here for your four way. So when you're not using your four way, you can put your dust cover on there to protect the terminals. It comes with the mounting bracket that you can install to hold the four way into place. Basically, just opens up and then you can lay that in there. Then it'll close.
Just go ahead and take the cap off. There we go. Lays right in there. The cap comes out that way, and then you just close it around there. Mount that to your vehicle.
Comes with the hardware to install that. Comes with a grounding screw. There is a white wire that needs to be grounded. If you have a ground, you can already connect it. If not, they do include a grounding screw to make your own ground.
Some cable ties to take up any slack in the wiring, and even a little package of dielectric grease to put on all your electrical connections. Now there is no cutting or splicing required. It plugs into the factory connections on your vehicle. Basically, you just go behind your taillights, unplug your harness, and then plug these connectors in. This one on the driver's side, this one on the passenger side, and then run this length of wire out the back. Again, make the good clean ground. Then you have your four way all ready to go. These parts are made in the USA.But that should do it for the review on the Blue Ox Tow Bar Wiring Kit.
