Free up much needed space inside your vehicle with this convenient fishing rod carrier. It stores up to 2 fly rods on your roof rack crossbars. The large interior allows you to set up your rods before you leave your house and leave them fully assembled during transport.
Rods Tubes with Reel Case
The carrier has 2 long tubes that accommodate fully assembled fly rods, so you don't have to break them down for transport. The large diameter allows you to set them up before you hit the road so you can cast as soon as you hit the stream. These tubes keep your rods separated and angle free. Inside the tubes is a polypropylene lining that helps protect your rods from scratches and scuffs.
The spacious, glass-reinforced case houses 2 reels with fighting butts. A rubber strap on the inside of the case provides additional stability and prevents your rods from sliding forward and backward while you drive. The housing door won't interfere with your hatch back, even when it's opened. It also includes a keyed lock, so your rods are secure in the carrier.
Easy Installation
The carrier easily mounts to most crossbar styles. Simply place the top and bottom mounting clamps around your crossbars and tighten down the threaded bolts with the included Allen wrench. The clamps also have holes that accommodate a small padlock (sold separately), allowing you to secure the carrier to your vehicle.

Unit works great. Now when I or my buds go fishing we do not have to take rods apart and rerig at next site and do not get hit with rods in car if we do not take them apart. I also tell people, when they ask what it is, that it is my double barreled bazooka because I'm tired of people pulling out in front of me. I love all the looks that I get.

Having this rod holder adds at least 35 minutes to my time on the water. I still have to care for my rod and line when I get home, but its real easy to slide it in the rod carrier and head down the road.

Well built, relatively light, and lockable. Now I don't have to break down my rods or have the rods in the car always in the way and hitting the front windshield. Another excellent product from etrailer.

This will also fit the original Rod Vault which came from Denver Outfitters like you have. It is one of those items that I was glad I purchased. It is well constructed and is easy to assembe and put on my car. The best thing about it is that I can pack car at night, assemble rods and lock it. I am then ready when I get to stream and do not have waste time assembling rod and getting it ready to fish. It saves me about 20 minutes. The other thing I like is that if I have a partner fishing with me we can load rods in unit and when we switch streams the rods are not hitting us in the head when we turn corners. Best buy I made.
