I have to say I was very pleased with my unit it only cost $xxx to have installed and it fit perfectly for my truck a eight 2004 F2 50 super duty short bed I pull a 30 foot Alejo fifth wheel and my driveway is only 60 foot wide with my truck it’s 17 feet high turn that truck on a dime I would never have been able to get that RV out of that driveway if I did not have my sliding hitch which allowed me to turn my truck at a 90° angle from the trailer and pivot like a compass. I love this hitch and I will never own another1452042

The Hitch was easy to install with the 16k setup and fit perfectly. But the brackets that run from one side to the other side are 1/2" too long to be able to bolt them in on our trucks rails. We cannot get it to the 21k rating. We now need to cut the brackets and have them welded to shorten them if we want to get to the higher capacity load.1486271

So easy to install! I’m not overly handy and was able to complete in about an hour. Slid right into the puck system and bolted on from there. Was able to keep my bed liner in, just removed the bumpers from the bottom of the plate. Haven’t had any issues with the hitch after 5k miles of towing over the summer. GREAT PRODUCT!!1439984

Ordered this hitch 3 day shipping on Monday around noon and received Wednesday afternoon. Packaging had taken a beating, but no damage to hitch, and all parts where there. Assembled hitch piece by piece in the bed of my Ram 2500 short bed. Went together like clockwork. Took be about 2 hours, taking my time because it was 93 degrees in my garage. Picked up new 34 foot fifth wheel RV that Saturday. Hitch locked on to pin with a reassuring solid lock sound and towed well. Very happy with eTrailer and Demco.287343

Overall happy with the hitch. My one complaint would be that if the king pin does not go into the latch just right, it will not latch. It sometimes takes 3 or four attempts to hit at the Just the right angle, not large movements, Usually just have to pull forward, turn the wheels a bit and back into it again. This doesnt occur on every hitch up, but happens more than I care for.

Yes the Demco 16K and 21K hitch heads are interchangeable however it will not increase the weight capacity of the hitch to change the head. The weight capacity is determined by the base, so if your goal is to increase the capacity you will need a new base as well.

After having this hitch for one year, I’m pretty disappointed. This hitch has the most play of any hitch I’ve ever had. The curt hitch I have has no play. Also the the handle for the slide is not very user friendly. If you pull it too hard it will simply pull out of one side. It will get the job done if you don’t have any other choice. The only reason I purchased this brand was because it was the only brand I could get during Covid.1329459

I ordered this hitch for my 2018 Titan XD. Very well made hitch. This install does take about 2 hours if you are assembling it by yourself. The parts are heavy as due expected for such a solid hitch. I did find that installing the base plate to the factory gooseneck hitch with a drop in bed liner does require removing all the shims from underneath the plate. If possible, assemble this hitch in the bed of the truck. The parts assembled complete makes for a very heavy hitch to put in the bed by yourself. I had to due to storms the night I assembled it. Due to shipping damage, I had to get replacement parts sent to me but Lori was very fast to get them to me. I pull a 13.5K trailer and it worked flawlessly. I am very, very pleased with the finished product as well as the excellent customer service from etrailer. You will NOT be disappointed.677944

The hitch is great and the extra locking bar does ensure a safe hookup. The ability to pull the hitch and leave the base plate in so i can still use the bed is awesome.The only two downsides i would say are that the paint chips rather bad even in areas that have had no contact with anything which allows the hitch to rust. The only other piece is that even though this model is made for my truck it still rocks back amd forth a bit and the cotter pins fall out which allows the retaining pins to slide out as well. This can be fixed with some simple retaining wire.1106356

I purchased a 2019 Titan Diesel. The Demco Hijacker system was one of the few hitches to work on the Puck system. I had to get rid of my Ford F250 after so many mechanical problems and that hitch did not work on the Titan. Pulled my 5th wheel to go hunting last year with no problems. As far as the product...Let me start by saying that Demco make absolutely first rate hitches. My only (constructive) criticism might be that their quality control might not be quite up to snuff. This is the second Demco hitch I've purchased, the first being a 21K Autoslide hitch. Again...fantastic product but upon arrival one of the four tabs that drop into the bed rails was welded on upside down. Demco replaced the part, no questions asked, terrific customer service. This 21K double pivot hitch arrived yesterday and went together well except one of the tabs wasn't welded perfectly squarely which made it extremely difficult to get it to drop into the existing bedrails (which worked perfectly for the prior Demco hitch). Managed to get it in...getting it out...well, that may be a bit of a challenge. Wouldn't stop me from purchasing another Demco product though.411739

Wow, new 2019.5 Ram 1500 works perfect..connected to Artic Wolf 285RL 3 slides 8,500 loaded.. turns up to 70degrees don,t need slide w the artic wolf. The installation was long..did it myself. Bracket bolts directly above frame was testy.. Had to grind a little off drivers rear bracket to fit. It was overall a tight fit but from an engineers point of view...small 5.7 bed there wasn't much room or choice. Tammy it was a pleasure working with you.
