Heavy-duty 5th-wheel trailer hitch has a dual jaw, pivoting head and color-coded lock indicator for superb safety and security. Non-binding slider ensures proper clearance during slow turns. Rails and universal installation kit sold separately.

Specs:
Unlike slide-bar models, the rounded, two-piece jaw on this fifth-wheel trailer hitch inhibits rattle and movement by securely wrapping around your trailer's king pin, resulting in easier hookup and a safer, quieter ride.
Get peace of mind with Curt's color-coded lock indicator. Just look at the indicator - either the one on the handle or the one on the hitch itself - to determine whether the jaw is in the correct position to uncouple (red), couple (yellow) or tow (green).
Curt's unique spherical axial bearing provides a durable pivot point that allows easy, 360-degree movement of the hitch head. This ball joint is designed for smooth, quiet operation with less clunking and chucking.
Most often used on trucks with 6' and 6-1/2' beds, this roller helps to eliminate clearance problems during slow-speed turns. When you are towing a fifth-wheel trailer, your hitch must be situated on the cab side of your truck's rear axle. However, at slow speeds you can use a roller to slide the fifth-wheel hitch (and the trailer) toward your truck's tailgate and past the rear axle, creating enough space between the cab of your truck and the trailer to permit less-restricted turning.
Non-Binding Design
The round-tube design of this slider allows for relatively uninhibited movement of your fifth-wheel hitch. Because your hitch can glide smoothly and easily along the rods, there is less chance of binding.
With straight, flat contact points, as found with square-tube sliders, tension can build between the slider and the hitch when your truck and trailer are somewhat out of line or are on uneven ground. As a result, it can be difficult to properly activate the slider when your truck and trailer are not in a straight line.
With a round-tube slider, there is more give between the contacting surfaces, allowing better mobility of the hitch system. Fewer corners means less tension buildup. Activating a round-tube slider is easier, and operation as a whole is smoother.

The Curt hitch is sturdy and very well made. I have not installed as of yet but looking at the high-quality hitch I'm sure it will handle my 40 ft 5th wheel with no problem.
Receiving: Packaging was shot, shredded and falling apart. Parts we're falling out everywhere. Surprisingly all the parts were there.
Installation: Some manhandling was involved, other than that, everything went smoothly for the most part. Also the instructions weren't very clear. Hahaha, like men read instructions! No, but really, the instructions suck. I'm happy with the product.
Installed by myself. Everything was except box the had the slide was badly damaged by UPS and UPS returned it themselves. When slider came in finally the 4 bolts for the head were not included.
This hitch is very well built and easy to use. It slides very easily with just one or two grease applocations per season. The are only two drawbacks,it is quite heavy compared to other hitches, even after taking the top off. Not a deterrant for me but may be too much for someone who doesnt always have someone who can help get it in/our of the truck. The second is that the rubber sound dampers make it fairly difficult to insert/remove the pins from the rails. I need a hammer and rod to beat them in or out. If you dont use them it does rattle around a bit
A well put together hitch , very heavy duty easy to use and maintain.
Hats of to E-trailer! I was in a hurry - they checked inventory for me, said they had the hitch coming in the next day and they would try to ship same day out to me, had it in 3 days. Ordered on Thursday, had it Monday and we installed and hooked up Tuesday.
However, the hitch system; my installation was for a short bed 2013 Power Wagon 2500 Ram and required me to enlist multiple other professionals to install, we worked on it for 3 hours, and were so p****d off by the time we were done. We had NO room to adjust any measurements and went exactly as the directions said. If we could have had room to adjust just a 1/2 inch different it would have made it much easier. Now my exhaust is rubbing on the mount and makes a horrible noise. Curt makes a nice hitch but they should be checking quality control as most of my latches and pin holes are all slightly off and it is extremely difficult to line anything up to pin together. Also, you have to have a tiny hand to pin the slide rails to the bars. Plus it took a sledge hammer to drive the pins in and keepers.
Also, I didn't need to buy a slider hitch - There is plenty of room even on my short box, to allow my 5th wheel camper to travel without hitting the cab when turning tight.
And last, when towing the hitch has the feeing there is slack and jerks around that I wasn't thrilled about.
I've used this for one year and I can say that it's a solid product that works. Getting out to manually slide the hitch can become a pain in the rear and I've had this bind on me once to where it would not slide at all. Traveling down the road and I've experienced some chucking in both my Ram 3500 and previously Ram 2500. If you have the money, I would highly recommend an automatic slide hitch.
Did not send all parts have to wait another three days for shipment would not tell my worst friend about you company you guys suck so hard worst place ever
I haven’t used the hitch yet but it went together fairly easy. It heavy but seems to be built well. The only issue I have is that I couldn’t get the supplied rubber pads installed. They seem to be a bit to thick so I’m going to drive around a week or so without a trailer and try getting them in after some wear. But all and all seems like a quality hitch. This was the first time I’ve had one and I got it installed with the slider in about 90 minutes.
Ordered the 24k Curt Slider on a Tuesday. It arrived 2 days later. As has been noted by a few others, the box was in bad shape. Fortunately I have a very good UPS driver and he helped me load it into my new Ram. I parked at the end of my driveway and knew about the time he delivers. He looked around in his truck and found the 1/2 inch bolts that came out of the box. Had the hitch hooked to my RV about an hour later. Everything fit perfectly. Also, the etrailer price was a lot better than other places, so I'm happy. Heading to California from Michigan soon so that will be the real test of the hitch.
I never had any experience with a fifth wheel hitch to make a comparison, but for someone with no experience, this hitch was very easy to use from day one. It is well made, designed and durable. I think it will definitely last my lifetime.
Works flawlessly only reason fo no 5 stars is boxes were destroyed instructions were there but no hardware. Even the bag of bolts zip tied to the hitch head was torn open and 1 bolt and 2 washers were left.
I bought the Q24 for my 2016 Ram 3500 and Montana 3810MS. I am still in the process of installation. The directions are unclear on the shims and if they should be used or not. If I put the shims in, you can't get the pins in the bottom. Without them the unit is loose and makes noise. Seems to me they need a shim about half the thickness as the ones provided. Any solutions? Or should I just let it rattle and not worry about it?
So far the Q24 Curt fifth wheel hitch is going good .At this time I am still buying parts from etrailer.com like the adapter C16022 when I get it install I’ll be more than happy to let you know. Thank you as much for asking. Bye
