Video Transcript for In-Depth Review of the LED Beacon Light

Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at an 8-LED Beacon Light. This beacon light features 8 LEDs and 15 flash patterns to keep your vehicle visible on the road. It is SAE J845 class 1 certified. Now LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer, they burn brighter, and they're more efficient. With LEDs, you don't have to worry about replacing bulbs or worry about brittle filaments.

This unit features the black plastic base, and when it comes to mounting you have a couple of different options. You can permanently mount it with some mounting hardware. It's got three mount holes right here for permanent mount, or you can temporarily mount it with the built-in magnet, so that allows for temporary mounting.It plugs into a standard accessory power outlet. The plug also has a built-in on and off switch. When it comes to the overall diameter, here at the base, that measures about 6-5/8", and then the overall height of the unit, pretty close to 5", maybe 4-7/8" to 4-15/16", right in that area.

Again, you have 15 flash patterns to choose from. Now, to change flash patterns, you need to remove the lens. There's a small button basically located right in this divot area that you need to depress and then rotate the lens counterclockwise to remove it, and then you'll notice that there is a small red button located right here. You push that, and that will allow you to cycle through the flash patterns. I'm going to go ahead and hook it up to power, and then when we push that red button it'll change the flash pattern, and so you cycle through until you find the one that you want for your application, and then you can leave it at that setting.Again, 15 to choose from.

We have light all the way around, 360 degrees. Now, I'll go ahead and put the lens back on, and we'll turn off the lights so you can see it in a low light setting. Again, eight diodes. Wattage is 18 watts. Voltage is 12 to 24 volts.

Amperage is 1.1 amps at 12 volts. And then we have the built-in on and off switch on the accessory plug that gives us quick and easy access to the on and off functions of the light. Now, I'll turn on the lights, and then, I'll finish cycling through. It does have a solid option to choose from, and then again, you have multiple patterns to select from. That's going to do it for today's look at the 8-LED Beacon Light.
