Today, we're going to take a look at the beacon light from Buyers Products. Now, this amber warning light is a great thing to have with your vehicle. Some key situations where it might come in handy are snowplowing, landscaping, tow trucks, or even if you're the lead or the follow in a wide load situation. It's just something you want to put on the roof of your vehicle. Turn it on, lets people know that you're currently working and to keep their distance. Now, this beacon light is going to have eight LEDs, which is a nice replacement for the incandescent bulbs.
LEDs are just going to shine brighter, they're going to last a lot longer. And they're going to be more efficient while they're operating. So, it's not going to draw too much power from your battery, when you're using it. You're not going to have to worry about jumping your car, after you're done using it.Now we're going to have a nice amber housing around our LEDs to give off that nice amber warning light. We're going to have a couple of different mounting options.
Right now, we're using the big magnet on the bottom side right here. Very simple to operate. You want to make sure you get the cord, sticking out of the slot right there, to make sure it doesn't get smashed by the housing, the bottom of the housing. Now, we also have another mounting option. I'll show you when I pick it up.
We're going to have holes throughout the perimeter of it. It's going to be three different ones, where we can actually, permanently bolt it down to our roof. You do have that option. Me personally, I prefer the magnet because it's still going to have a great hold and you can remove it when you're done. It's going to use the 12 volt auxiliary outlet in your vehicle. So as long as your battery is not dead, you're going to have power for your light.
It also includes a nine and a half foot cable so that no matter where you mount it on your roof, you're still going to be able to reach that power source. For example, ours is right here. We just have it mounted to our passenger side, just because, if we had it mounted on the driver's side, it'll get in the way of the steering wheel and stuff like that. You just want to make sure you're safe when you're driving. So all you got to do is plug it into that outlet. Now on the back of our outlet, we're going to have a switch. Once we flip it, that red light's going to come on, letting us know that our beacon light is now lit. Then when we flip it off, it's going to let us know that our beacon light is now off.You can't see that red light anymore. Now, a couple of things I really like about this light is that one, it's got those LEDs, which like I said, they're going to burn brighter, they're going to last a lot longer and they're going to be more efficient when they're operating. So it's not going to drain the car battery while you're using it. You're not going to have to worry about jumping your car at all. Another thing I really like is that it's got that magnetic mount option. Like I said, personally, I just want to be able to remove that when I'm done using it, take that extra height off my vehicle. Thank you all for watching, that's going to do it for our look at the beacon light from Buyers Products..
