Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the 12 LED Strobe Light with the clear lens and amber LEDs.Now, this strobe light is installed in a nice aluminum housing. It's rated IP67 for water and dust resistance. A common use for this light is pickup trucks, work trucks, or trailers. It's a black aluminum base with a clear lens, 12 amber LEDs, and the LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights, because they'll last 50 times longer, and they're more efficient, because they'll provide brighter light with less power output. And of course no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments. This light does offer 10 flash patterns and simultaneous or alternating function. It does have a blunt cut wire connection you can see here.
There's basically four wire leads. The wire length on this is about 11". You have a black wire, which is your ground; you have a red, which is your power; the green, which is your synchronization and flash patterns; and then the white is for simultaneous or alternating flash. At the end of this video, I am going to hook this up to 12 volt power, just so you can see how bright it is and the different flash patterns, so we'll go over those wires again. Now, the mounting hardware, the two screws is included to install this. Again, it's 12 LEDs.
The voltage is 12 to 24 volts. Amperage is 1.1 amps at 12 volts.A few dimensions on this. The overall length is going to be right at 4-1/2" long. The height on it, right at 1-3/4" tall. The depth is only going to be right about 1/2" deep.Right now we're going to go ahead and hook this up to the 12 volt power, so we're going to take our black wire, which is the ground, and hook that up.
Take our red wire, which is the power, and we'll go ahead and hook that up. And I'm going to turn it on with just those two wires hooked up, and it'll show you the brightness of the light and then the flash pattern it's set on.Then what we're going to do is the green wire right here, that's the synchronization and flash pattern, so I'm going to touch that to the power wire, and each time you touch that, it'll reset the flash pattern, so that's how you choose your 10 flash patterns. Also, that green wire would be used for synchronization. In other words, if you had multiple lights like this on your trailer or truck, and you wanted them all to flash at the same time, all together, they each have a green wire. You'll set your flash pattern, and then hook all the green wires together to get you that. Now, the white wire is for simultaneous or alternating flash.
That I won't be able to show you, but I will show you the flash patterns. We'll go ahead and turn on our 12 volt power. There you can see the amber LEDs flashing. I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights, and you can see with the lights off, it's very bright. Then again here I'm going take the green wire and touch it, and you can see, it changes to a different flash pattern. If I touch it again, now it's on a different flash pattern. One more time will give you another different one. Again, there's 10 different flash patterns. We'll go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights, go ahead and turn off our power. But that should do it for the review on the 12 LED Strobe Light with the clear lens and the amber LEDs.
