Video Transcript for A Closer Look at the Round LED Strobe Light

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a three-LED strobe light. This amber LED strobe light features three high-intensity LEDs and is designed to be surface or recessed mounted.I can also be installed inside a vehicle's headlight or taillight assembly, as long as there's room.The LED strobe light is SAEJ595 class one rated and CA13 certified. The one inch, round strobe light features 12 adjustable flash patterns and includes a black bezel.So this goes over, provides a nice, clean, finished look to the unit. It is an LED system. LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights, they last longer, they burn brighter, they're more efficient. With LEDs, you don't have to worry about replacing bulbs or worry about brittle filaments.We have a nice, clear lens with amber LEDs.

And it's a three-wire design, so in this situation, the black wire's our ground wire. Red wire's for power. And yellow is for synchronization and changing the flash pattern.The overall diameter of the base is about an inch and a half. And it increases to one and seven eighths inches when using the bezel.We got a few mount holes right here, so two mount holes. Again, variety of mounting options with this light.

But the mount lights are separated on center by about an inch and a quarter. Right in that area.Overall nice design, so you get the light, three-wire design. You get the hardware, you get the bezel. You get a foam mounting gasket. And then you get another mounting gasket that has adhesive backing on each side for a peel and stick installation.We're going to go ahead and hook it up to power.

That way you can see what it looks like with some power running to it. We'll also turn off the overhead light so you can see it in a lower light setting.So you can see here that the light sends out a nice, clear, consistent signal. Again, it does feature multiple flash patterns. We have 12 flash patterns to choose from.To change the flash pattern, I'm going to take the yellow wire and apply it to my main power wire. And every time I do that, it's going to allow me to change the flash pattern.

And it does have a solid on design, which is where all the LEDs are on at the same time.Now it features a total of three diodes. So the multi-diode design really helps optimize the overall light output. Wattage is 5.6 watts. Voltage is 12-24 volts. And the amperage is 0.47 amps at 12 volts.So I'm just going to keep cycling through.Very bright light for as small and compact as it is.We'll keep going until we get back to that solid pattern. That way we know we've cycled through all of them. There we go.That's going to do it for today's look at the three-LED amber strobe light.
