Video Transcript for The Low-Down on the Ultra-Thin LED Strobe Light

Speaker 1: Today, we're going to take a look at this six LED surface mount ultra-thin strobe light, with the clear lens and the amber LED's. This strobe light has a ultra-slim quarter inch profile, which will fit into tight spaces. Common use is on pickup trucks, or trucks, or trailers. It has a black base with the clear lens and amber LED's. And the LED's make great replacements for incandescent lights, because they'll last 50 times longer, and they're more efficient, because they'll provide brighter light with less power output. And of course, no bulbs to replace or brittle filaments.The slide will offer 23 flash patterns, and simultaneous or alternating functions.

It does use a blunt cut wiring connection. You can see it has about an eight inch long wire length to it. It has three color wires. The black is your ground, the white is your power, and the brown is for the synchronization and alternating flash. I'm going to show you when we hook this up to power.

I'm going to show you how that works.This is a surface mount design. It includes the self-adhesive tape, with the two mounting screws for a nice simple installation. Now, they do offer an optional 90 degree mounting bracket. It's sold separately for more permanent instillation if you prefer.This light has an IPX8 waterproof rating. It uses six LEDs.

The wattage is 12 watts, the voltage 12 to 24 volts, amperage is .5 amps at 12 volts. Last thing I want to do is give you some dimensions on this, and then we're going hook it up to the 12 volt power. So, the length on this edge to edge is right at five and one eighth inches long. Height on it, bottom to top is one and three 16ths of an inch tall. And the depth at the widest point is only quarter of an inch.So again, what we're going to do is hook up the power.

We'll take the black wire, which is our ground. We'll go ahead and hook that up. And we'll take the white wire, which is our power. We'll go ahead and hook that up. And I'm going to turn it on like that, and it'll show you how bright the light is, and the flash pattern. This brown wire . What this brown wire is used for is, I'm going to touch it when the light's on . Touch the power. When you do that, it'll reset the flash pattern. So, to get your 23 different flash patterns is using this brown wire. Each time you touch that, it'll give you a different flash pattern. Also, this brown wire will be used if you have multiple lights like this, and you want to hook them all on the same trailer or truck. And you want the all to sync or flash at the same time, in the same pattern. Then you'll take the brown wires of all the lights, you hook those together to get the synchronization.So what we're going to do is go ahead and turn the power on. And with the power on, you'll see how bright the lights are and the flash pattern it's giving off. Go ahead and turn off the overhead lights. You get a real good view, you can see how bright it is with only six LEDs. And now I'm going to take the brown wire, and go ahead and touch it. And you can see after I've touched it, it changed to a different flash pattern. Touch it again, there's another one. And one more time will get you another one. And again there's 23 different ones.Go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights. And we'll turn off our power.
