Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at a 12-LED Strobe Light. This rectangular amber and clear LED strobe light has 12 LEDs and 12 flash patterns with alternating and synchronized functions. The light is rated IP67 for water and dust resistance, and it helps keep your vehicle or trailer visible on the road. This is great for work trucks and trailers. The LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer.
They're brighter. They're more efficient. You don't have to worry about replacing bulbs, and you don't have to worry about brittle filaments. The light sits in a black base, and then it also comes with a rubber mounting pad and mounting screws. It's SAE and Department of Transportation compliant. It's a four wire design.
Now, when going over those, I'm just going to refer to the instructions right here. It makes it a lot more simple. The red wire is your positive power wire, black wire is your ground wire. Blue, what is says there is, "Connecting the blue wires, so multiple lights, will synchronize all light heads. Touching positive power to the blue wire will actually change the flash pattern." It has a note right here, "All light heads to be grouped must be set at the same pattern before being linked together." Then, for the white wire, "All units with white and red wires connected will flash together, group one.
All units with white and red wires not connected will flash together, group two. So by grouping the lights as above, or as stated, either simultaneous or alternating groups can be achieved."On the flip side of that, it also goes over the LED flash patterns. Now, when it comes to the measurements of the unit, what I want to do is I'm going to give you the mount hole separation. So between these we have about 3-3/8" on center. Going this direction, we have about 1-1/16 on center.
With the lens in the base, or the light in the base, this area measures about 5-1/2" by 2-1/4 and the overall thickness is about 1" thick. That's how far it sticks out. Putting it on the pad is going to add about another 1/8th of an inch, so the overall thickness is going to be about 1-1/8". Now, we have increased to overall length and everything with it being on the rubber mounting pad, so we increased it to about 5-11/16" and about 2-1/2".Now, we're going to go and hook it up to power, that way you can see what it looks like with some power running to it. We'll cycle through some of the different flash patterns that it has to offer. Now, the unit contains a total of 12 LEDs. We have the clear, and we have the amber. I'm going to take my blue wire, touch it to my positive power, and you can see how that changes our flash pattern. Voltage is 12 to 24 volts. Amperage is one amp at 12 volts. Keep cycling through a little bit. It has a lot of different flash patterns to choose from. Again, the included instructions do a great job at highlighting each flash pattern that this unit has to offer. That's going to do it for today's look at the 12-LED Strobe Light.
