Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a four LED strobe light. This rectangular strobe light has four LEDs and it features 19 flash patterns, with alternating and synchronized functions. The versatile strobe light is rated IP67 for water and dust resistance and SAEJ595 Class 2 rated. It features a nice heavy-duty aluminum housing. It's very strong and durable and rust and corrosion resistant, and then the light sits on a black plastic base.LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer.
They burn brighter. They're much more efficient. With LEDs you don't have to worry about replacing bulbs and you don't have to worry about brittle filaments. This unit features a nice clear lens with amber and clear LEDs, so two of the LEDs are amber, the other two are clear. It's a surface mount installation, two mount hole design, mounting hardware not included, but it does come with a foam mounting gasket. When it comes to the wiring, it's a four wire design, so we have four different wires here.
The black wire is for our ground, red is for power, yellow is for connecting multiple lights together and changing the flash pattern, and then the white wire is designed or intended to connect to other lights for alternate flash and then to leave lights disconnected. So if you want . If you have four lights in a setup and you want alternate and simultaneous flash, then you would connect the lights together that you want alternate flashing and then leave the lights disconnected for simultaneous flash, so that's what the white wire is for, so connect to other lights, for alternate flash, and leave disconnected for simultaneous flash. The included instructions do a great job at indicating how to wire and what each wire function is and what it does. It also goes through all the different flash patterns that the unit has to offer and it names each one.Now when it comes to the dimensions of this unit, we're doing the overall dimensions. So going edge to edge this direction, including the base, it's about 5-1/4 by 2-5/16, and the overall depth, or how far it sticks out from the installation surface, is about 1-13/16".We're going to go ahead and connect it to power and then we'll also turn of overhead lights so you can see it in a lower light setting.
So it sends out a really nice bright design. When you're ready to change the flash pattern and find the one that works best for your application you need, take the yellow wire and momentarily connect it to the power source, so the 12-volt power. Every time you touch it, it'll change the flash pattern. So right now I'm just cycling through some of the different flash patterns that it has to offer. Now this is a four diode design, so that means that the unit has four LEDs. The multi-diode design really helps to optimize the overall light output.
Voltage is 12 to 24 volts. Amperage is 0.54 amps at 12 volts. So a lot of different flash patterns. Again, it offers 19 flash patterns and it does have a solid option, which is right there, meaning all the LEDs stay on. Again, you can connect this to other lights and it does have the alternating and synchronized functions. That's going to do it for today's look at the four LED strobe light.
