Hi everyone. It's Evangelist here at etrailer.com. And today we are looking at our Peterson triangle warning kit here at etrailer. These warning triangles are a great option especially if you have a large bus RV or commercial vehicle that requires to have these on your vehicle. Now, if you have a smaller car like I do I also like to have these in my trunk, just so it makes me feel a little extra safe when I'm on the side of the road, trying to fix my car or I broke down, we have three different triangles here. So we have the Peterson and the Orion and the Erickson triangle warning kits.
We have all three of those together. You can see, it looks very similar. Let's take a look at how they reflect. As I point my lights at them, you can see how they reflect off a bright white light from an oncoming car. Now, the Peterson and the Orion are very similar.
So when I went to compare them I compare these two with the Ericsson. I personally liked the Erickson a little bit more because when you shine a light on it, it's reflectiveness or a reflective surface has a little bit more visibility as well as its lighter color. It comes out of your case, just like this. And it's really easy to use and set up. So what I do is I bring this forward and then I lift my two and up and latch them together here at the top.
And just like that, you're ready to go. The base or support is pre weighted and it's ready to stand winds up, up to 40 miles per hour. What it does though, is job, and it's great for emergency situations. It is made of plastic. So please be careful as you put it together especially for the plastic tabs, 'cause they can break off if not handled properly, all three come in this plastic case.
And it's nice cause it makes it easy to store inside your vehicle for emergency purposes. When you open it up, you can see that has directions for how to set them up around your vehicle as well as how to set up the triangles themselves. Now there's two different ways to set these up depending on what situation you are in, let's take a look at that. On a two lane road what you need to do is put the first triangle 10 feet away facing the traffic. Then you put the second triangle, a hundred feet in front of your vehicle, and then the third triangle a hundred feet behind your vehicle. The second way to do this is when you pull over on a one way or a divided highway is to put them 10 feet away a hundred feet away, and then 200 feet away from the rear of your vehicle and spacing the approaching traffic. My final thoughts about these is I like how these triangles work to bring awareness or to show oncoming traffic that you are there by the side of the road. Now, if you do need some extra source of light I highly recommend picking up another emergency roadside kit which comes with flares or flashers. So at these aren't the only source of awareness or light or reflection on the road showing that you are there. And that was a look here at our Peterson triangle warning kit here at etrailer.com..
