Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this, ComeUp Seal Slim Off-Road Winch. This is a nice, heavy-duty steel drum and aluminum dye cast housing winch. It's got a 12,500 pound single line pull rating, It's gonna do a really good job for your trucks and other large vehicles to help you with self recovery. If you're off-roading and get stuck in a ditch or something like that, this is gonna be a great option to help get you pulled up.
And this is going to mount, probably behind your bumper. Considerations for the size it's right about two feet long, depending on how you measure the height, it's either about seven inches, or if you include the clutch lever here it's gonna be about eight and a quarter of an inch. This does turn, so depending on your orientation, will determine your height there. And then as far as our depth, it's gonna be about six and a half inches up to 12 inches deep depending on your control unit mounting position. This can be mounted in several different positions.
Just to give you some ideas there on how this is gonna mount for you, but this is a nice heavy-duty, five horsepower series wound motor. That's going to deliver nice superior torque output and it's gonna give you a nice fast, line-speed pull. If you don't have any load, it's going to be about 25.3 feet per minute. That's gonna be using your 45 amps at 12 volts. If you have a full load about 12,500 pounds, it's gonna be about three feet per minute and that's gonna use up about 470 amps on your 12 volt system.
Gonna be really nice for you, as far as getting your line pulled in quickly. The motor is equipped with a thermal protection switch. If it is gonna get over overheated, if you're using it for extended periods of time, it will switch that protection switch to prevent it from getting too hot for you. Our control unit is going to attach to your 12 volt battery on your vehicle. It does have a cutout switch on the top here.
If I can rotate this around so you can see that a little bit better. Our cutout switch is going to prevent the vehicle battery from draining when we're not using it. So, be able to turn off the system there and this can be mounted either on the winch, they include some steel wraps here for you to get it mounted here or you can mount it separately to accommodate different sized mounting situations. If you need a little bit more room, you can move that to a different place. We do have a wired remote. That's going to allow you to stand about 17 feet away from your winch. You can see very simple little toggle switch here in and out. This is also going to have a thermometric indicator LED. Again, if things are heating up too much, that LED will come on. But they are also going to include, this wireless remote control, so you can stand about as far as you need to. You're not gonna have to worry about being connected or finding that connection point in your truck bumper. This is going to allow you to wirelessly control your winch in and out. A really nice option there. We are gonna have this 12-strand synthetic rope. This is a 7/16th inch diameter by 82 feet long synthetic rope. This is gonna be a really nice option, it's going to be lighter and safer than your wire rope. You're not gonna have to worry about getting stabbed, if your wire rope is starting to unravel. Also if we inchesre to snap, it's not gonna be as nearly as dangerous as a wire rope. And it is much lighter weight, so it's a nice option for you, kind of a upgrade over your standard wire rope. This is coated to improve the abrasion resistance. It's gonna last you a nice long time and this isn't going to absorb water as you're not gonna have to worry about it getting water logged. Our Hawse Fairlead, is going to mount separately from our winch right on our bumper. It's gonna help provide a nice smooth edge for our rope. It's not gonna start rubbing up against any sharp edges, help our rope stay in good shape. On our hook here, we are gonna have a spring loaded closure so that we can make sure that this is staying on our mounting point. It's a nice heavy duty hook here. It's gonna do a good job of allowing you to hook up and be sure that your connections are going to hold for you, as you're pulling all that weight. We do have a hardened steel, 3-Stage Planetary Gear train, with a gear ratio of 225 to one. It's gonna be very efficient and reliable for you. The clutch, as I said, can be rotated depending on mounting orientation. You can pivot this, it's got 22.5 degree increments of movement that you can switch. But then our handle here is gonna be very easy to engage or disengage our clutch so that we can un-spool and get it to the length that we need and then re-engage it so that we can operate our wench, pull that back in. This does also have an automatic full-load, Cone Break Structure. It's gonna be a nice automatic hold. You're not gonna have to worry about letting out your rope when you're trying to hold that weight. It's gonna do a good job of breaking for you there. As far as getting this mounted again, this is gonna be a foot forward mounting position. You'll get it mounted probably, right behind your bumper. They've got these mounting holes here, this is about a 10 and an eighth of an inch mounting width by about 4 1/2 inches mounting height. This is a nice black powder coat finish to our aluminum construction. It's really sharp looking, should blend in really well. Even if you do have it hidden back behind your bumper, should not be very eye catching at all. We also include these boots to cover up your connections. That's gonna be really nice for longevity of your winch, making sure that your connections stay dry and protected. This does come with a limited-lifetime warranty on the mechanical components. I think this is gonna be a really nice option. If you are gonna be doing a lot of off-roading with your truck, be a great way to ensure that you never get stuck. Make sure that you always have a plan on how to get you out and very easy to get hooked up to your battery and ready to go. That's gonna complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com Thanks for watching.

Shipping was superb!
I have just installed on a custom base plate Toyota HJ60.
Winch appears to be of quality construction.
Owners manual supplied is not for this winch model.
Not a easy job to re-clock the orientation of motor or clutch housing.
More up to date product illustrations and English translations needed.
Excellent winch. Very well built. Dependable when needed.
100% comparable to other well known brand (W). In my opinion better value for money spent. Performance you need to rely on at a fair price. Thanks etrailer for your assistance with regards to this product.
