Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at these warm white, directional 194, 906 and 921 LED bulbs with the wedge base. It's for a quantity of two bulbs. Now these LED flat bulbs will upgrade or replace your 194, 906 and 921 light bulbs to provide a nice, warm white lighting. These are great for top mount or overhead applications. They are a directional design.
They provide a 180 degree focus lighting. These are 12 volt bulbs that have many applications for your RV, trailer, boats, or vehicles. They do use LEDs, which make great replacements for incandescent bulbs. They're rated for up to 50,000 hours, and they are more efficient because they'll provide brighter light with less power output. No bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments to break. Now, at the end of this video, I am going to hook this up to some 12 volt power to show how bright they are.Now these bulbs are compatible with dimmable fixtures for a nice, simple adjustment of the light brightness.
They do offer built-in surge protection to safe guard internal electronics. And they do use a wedge base which will mount into a compatible fixture. And the nice thing is it's a non-polarized design for easy installation. So you don't have to guess at which way it goes in. You can put it in this way and it'll light up.
If you turn it this way and plug it in, it'll still light up either way you insert it.It is for a quantity of two flat bulbs. Measurement on the bulb itself, the width is one and three-eighths inches wide. The height after it's installed, is about two inches tall. Light output is 165 lumens. Bulb type again, is 194, 906 and 921.
Base type is a wedge base. Light type is warm white. Color temperature is 3,500 kelvin, and the LEDs are 15 LEDs per bulb. Wattage is 1.3 watts. It is designed to replace up to a 15 watt halogen bulb. And the power draw at 12 volts is 0.11 amps.So what I'm going to do now, is I'm going to go ahead and hook up our power. We'll hook up power to one side, and then we'll get our ground and hook up our ground to the other side. And you can see after we get that hooked up, there's your LEDs. We'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights. And again, there's 15 LEDs on this bulb. And as you can see, it is 180 degree focus lighting, and the color is a nice, warm white light. Very bright light.Go ahead and turn back on overhead lights, turn off our power. But that should do it for the review on the warm white directional 194, 906 and 921 LED bulbs with the wedge base.

I used the 180Lms for the living area and the 165Lms in the bedroom. Please read on…
For me these were NOT a simple replacement for the halogen 12v bulbs in my light fixtures (2016 RV). Unlike other replacement bulbs, I found on [online] and elsewhere, the wedge base does not match those of the 194, 906, 921 bulbs. Initially once installed these LEDs fell out of the socket and would not light unless held in place. The Teck at e-trailer suggested I bend the contact in the lamp socket to better hold the new LED. I found this minimally effective and most of the time did not accomplish a satisfactory installation: most LEDs still did not light. In one case I even resorted to using double-back foam mounting tape to help hold the LED in. That worked better, but not well. My final solution was to install small strips of flattened copper wire at the contact points to duplicate the .092 inch thickness of the original halogen bulb (LED base thickness was only .065). The wire strips were epoxied to the back side. This provided a near perfect fit and good electrical contact.
I ordered the wrong size. Need to return. Got the right ones in the second order but one was broken The orders were very timely
Big improvement over the already replaced LED bulbs I had first inserted in the OEM overhead lights in our trailer. Fixtures are still ugly and will eventually be replaced, but these LED bulbs helped a lot.
They work very well.
Work for me
