Raw Lumens vs. Effective Lumens vs Stable Lumens
Lumens are used to measure the amount of usable light that is put out by a light source. Raw lumens represent the number of lumens that the manufacturer claims the LEDs are capable of producing. It does not include the light's drive method or the amount of light lost from the lens or reflector. Effective lumens take these factors into account and represent the number of lumens that are actually produced by the complete light assembly, not just the amount of light that the diodes are capable of producing. Stable lumens builds off the idea of effective lumens by measuring the amount of light produced after 30 minutes of usage, or once the diodes have reached their average operating temperature. These bulbs have a 600 raw lumen capacity per bulb and produce 199 effective lumens per bulb. The stable lumen capacity per bulb is 75 lumens.

Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here etrailer.com, and we're going to be taking a quick look at the replacement LED bulbs. These are going to be a 1157 style bulb. So they're going to be a replacement for your tail lights or your brake lights on your vehicle, RV or both, or really anywhere that you want to have those up. So let's take a closer look at them and make sure that they're going to be the right fit for you. You can see at the back, we'll have that inaudible 00:00:22 style attachment, so that's just going to push and then screw into place or turn into place.
I'm going to hook this up to power so you can see what it looks like when it's turned on. They are reverse polarity protected, so you shouldn't have any issues with that whenever you're getting these installed.I'll turn out the lights in the studio so you'll actually see what that looks like a little bit better. So you see a nice red light that does project out in 360 degrees around the light, so you get a complete circle around that light, and it's just going off and on because of the way I'm attaching it with these clamps. They're not always the most reliable, but it gives you an idea of what it looks like. So again, that light's going to come out all the way around.
It does have 23 diodes on each of these bulbs, so you'll have 18 around the perimeter and then five up here at the top or at the outermost point there.They are compatible with 12 volt DC systems and they should be sized similar to your original OEM bulbs, so you shouldn't have any issues with clearance or anything like that, just going to fit right in place. They're IP 6-7 rated, so that means that they're going to be protected from any kind of ingress from water or dust, and they're also shock resistant. So good for just about any kind of terrain that you might be putting these guys through. As far as the light output, the raw lumens is rated at 600 lumens. That does drop down to 199 or just under 200 lumens for the effective lumen output, which is really more than ever to pay attention to that raw lumen output is more the theoretical output for the light.
The effective lumens is more what it's measured in the real world.Stable lumens, that's after 30 minutes of continuous usage that does drop down to 75 lumens, but since these are for your brake sites, that's typically not going to happen where you have your brakes on continuously for 30 minutes. If you did, there's probably something else wrong going on. As far as the color temperature, that's just referring to the color of the light on the light spectrum, and it's going to be a thousand Kelvins. That's what gives us that nice red color. Wattage per bulb is 6.5 Watts, power draw at 12 volts is 0.65 amps.
Voltage is between nine and 16 volts DC. They are covered by a two year limited warranty and that about does it for our look at the replacement led bulbs. I wanted to replace the old bulbs in my trailer but everywhere I looked they were going to cost me $xx or more per pair. I found etrailer while looking on line for trailer parts and was very surprised how affordable the bulbs were. I ordered all the bulbs in the trailer for less than half the cost I was expecting. They arrived yesterday and I put them in. Wow, what a difference. Way better light output, much less battery power being used. All for a fraction of the cost. On 18 October 2021, I purchased 4 packs of model 194 LED bulbs (ARC64FR). As soon as they arrived, I replaced the existing incandescent marker light bulbs on my Coachmen travel trailer with these LED bulbs. When I hooked up the travel trailer to my truck and turned on the lights, the improvement was quite noticeable. The ARC64FR LEDs were much brighter – even in the afternoon sunlight. Quite pleased. Money well spent. Another great product from etrailer.com.

These are great bulbs that produce a very white bright light. I would guess they produce twice the light as a normal incandescent bulb.

I have been having great difficulty finding a short, high lumen, wedge base LED bulb to fit our RV ceiling light fixtures (which have 2 bulbs in one compartment). These have worked... although I wish they were 1000 lumen.

This LED replacement completely changed the lighting in my RV for the better. I put them in the main living area and work area and you no longer feel like you are living by flashlight. The only drawback to the replacement bulb is it is slightly wider than glass bulbs and it takes significantly more pressure to insert them. However, they will go in without breaking the fixture. The picture shows the clear difference with both type bulbs in a single fixture.

I ordered 2 types of LED bulbs to replace the incandescent bulbs in my old camper. The shipment arrived quickly and was just as I ordered. While one of the bulb types was file and worked great, providing more light for less electricity used, the other type did not fit. Note that this was MY fault, etrailer sent me just what I ordered.

- LED Replacement Light for 4 Inch Round Trailer Tail LightI have a solution for you. We don't have any LED lights that are a fit for the inside of that 4 inch cylinder. All of our LED options are linked and they are slightly bigger. What you can do is use an LED bulb in an incandescent fixture. For example, the Peterson Trailer Tail Light - Stop, Turn, Tail - Incandescent - Round - Red Lens - Passenger Side # 431800 in the attached video (with the 4 inch round tube) uses 1157 bulb so you can use # ARC63FR for an LED.

In order to do this you need to know the bulb type such as 1157. Please note, you must use an LED that is the same color as the lens in order for the color to show properly, if you simply use a white bulb under a red lens it will appear pink.
