Mirrors appear to be exactly what I was looking for. All the others I tried didn't extend far enough to give a comfortable view or what was behind us. I am hooked up and will be traveling with them tomorrow, so we'll see then. 305302

Excellent product. Easy to put on. Took them off, put them in my camper storage. Next trip out, when I put them on, I did not even need to adjust them! The mirrors are slight contour and slight magnification, which makes them easy to see. There is virtually NO vibration during travel. (I have had others that shimmied so bad you could not see a thing.) I flip my driver side mirror in frequently to check my mail box, so it is not very stiff. So I ran a small bungee from the clamp to the grill under my hood. Did this for both sides. My driver side flipped in when traveling at interstate speeds, so I put a second bungee on it. Fixed the problem. Allen bolts at top of clamp are rusting after 2nd use. All in all though, I am very pleased with this product and it is well worth the money spent. It is the only product I could find to properly fit my 2011 Toyota Tacoma, because it clamps on the mirror frame and does not rest on my truck mirrors. Great Product! 516262

Used these for a year, and camping about 10 times during that year, all over the state and they still work and look great! I highly recommend this product!

Overall happy with these tow mirrors. They mount to the bottom of our 2016 Toyota Highlander mirrors and they give a good view of our oversized popup camper. They do shake a bit in the wind but they are easy to install and have never came loose. They only problem I had once was a gust of wind which caused the Toyota's mirror to fold with it attached. Since there is no custom mirror for our vehicle, they are the next best thing. They have lots of adjustability. 326962

The product was just as advertised. Fits great on our truck. Haven't used it yet on a trip, won't be going anywhere soon but am sure it will be fine. The shipping took quite a few days, a bit of a long time. Liked the instruction videos too. 387530

Wow! Great mirrors. I used one for each of the mirrors on my 04 Ford Expedition. These mirrors are made of top quality materials, with quality manufacturing. They work like a dream. Little to no vibration even at freeway speeds 55-60. Once adjusted, and secured, no movement. Thank you CIPA! 254287

The mirrors arrived yesterday and I had them on my truck in 10 min. I drive a Nissan Frontier and our camper trailer was just too wide---I could not clearly see the traffic that was coming up from behind. These mirrors are golden. Completely adjustable and they fit securely and they are snug on my mirrors. I would recommend these mirrors without hesitation. 249730

Better quality than I expected for the price. They fit and have a large range of adjustment. The only surprise is that they are convex, I had not picked up on that from the description. If you want/need flat mirrors these are not what you want. As long as you buy a pair your rear view will be the same on both sides and it should not be an issue. 432243

Comments

These are keepers. They go on and off in seconds after the first fit. They dont vibrate and they hold their adjustment. Great product.

The first one fell off within 2 miles. The second made it about 20. Save you money and upgrade the mirrors themselves. 571524

Just right... they fit very well and easy to attach. I have not driven on the road with them attached yet. 308687

On 2 separate occasions one of the mirrors came off in transit even though I had tightened the screws as tight as I could. Fortunately I was able to retrieve them both times. One of the times was on a busy interstate highway. Trying to get them tighter the screws started pulling through the plastic clamp. I purchased longer screws and washers to go all the way through the bracket to get them tight enough. That has worked well even at highway speeds into the wind. 500881

Very adjustable, fit on my 2001 Ford F-150 Supercrew. Now can see side of camper and cars behind. Stayed on for a month including trip. After 3weeks they rattled off. They need a little pad screwed onto the mirror surround. Maybe double sided tape. Great product bounced down the street at 55 mph. I recovered both mirror with not even a scratch on them 436286

Comments

I put these on again, used these for a few months going from Florida to RI and got so used to them I never took them off, even when not towing. One day one fell off in the street at 50mph. Got two scratches on it and I put it back on. I suggest a sticky pad where it clamps on your plastic mirror housing. I would recommend this product for the F150 2001 supercrew without hesitating. Great product!

Used the mirrors last week on our Lexus GX460. I tightened them down very tight based on past reviews and didn’t have any problem. They were very stable, didn’t slip and gave fantastic adjustment and visibility. They are very well built and have rubber coated pads on the clamps so they don’t damage the paint on the vehicle mirrors. Once they are set they go back onto the vehicle with ease. Great product!! etrailer contact was great! They let me know when the order was shipped, gave me the tracking info and followed up. Best on line buying experience I have ever had. I am a customer for life. Same experience with the back up camera we just received. etrailer is 2 for 2!!! 445952

Comments

The mirrors work great! No issues at all. We tow with a Lexus GX460 and we had some concerns of damage to our vehicle side mirrors. We are happy to report that the trailer mirrors work perfect and we have never had any damage and we have never lost a mirror.

Received the mirrors very quickly and really like these. We had the ones with rubber straps but the straps broke. These are steel and clamp securely on. We needed mirrors for safely towing our camper. Thank you for the great sevice and quick processing and follow up. Customer service at its best, thankyou 391177

This is the only mirror I could find that extended out far enough to see sides of trailer and traffic behind. One mirror fell off, but I think something hit it because the vehicle mirror was folded flat. I don't like the convex mirror, wish they offered it in flat. I reworked a flat, clamp on mirror to extend farther and use that instead of this. Still give 4 stars due to easy mount and adjustablity. 293450

My order arrived yesterday. Looked both mirror extensions over very carefully. These items are well made. Installed them on my 2016 GMC Canyon SLT crew cab truck and adjusted them for use with my travel trailer. They work great and as advertised. Fully adjustable to meet any requirement anyone would have regarding fit and adjustability. A big plus for me was the fact that they can be adjusted to fit the needs of anyone with almost any type of vehicle. This is a good product at a fair price and I highly recommend it. 345571

New mirrors arrived today. Very impressed with the build and material quality. Using them on a 2000 GMC Savana. Mounting seems very secure. Won't have a chance to try them until spring, but so far pleased with my purchase. 335419

Disappointed in these, especially given all the glowing reviews. If you're interested in looking at the road surface or the sky then these mirrors will be great for you, but if you want them to stay adjusted to where you originally pointed them then find another mirror. I found that even using a wrench to tighten the adjuster in an attempt to keep them in position, it simply wasn't enough. The mirrors will clamp to the factory mirrors just fine - the problem is with the arm adjuster and ball adjuster on the back of these mirrors themselves. They simply don't tighten enough to stay in place at speeds above 40mph - they twist from wind. I might just try tightening them to where they will strip/break - no reason not to risk it as they are useless otherwise. 395833

The mirrors were very east to install, only took a couple of minutes. They made my visibility when pulling our trailer excellent. They didn't hold up very well. The driver side mirror blew off, ( after about 25 miles), when a semi truck from the other direction went by. The buffeting from the truck dislodged it in an instant and it was lost on the highway. I then took the passenger side mirror and installed it on the drivers side, not wanting the same thing to happen again I made sure the attachment clamps were tight, and I guess too tight as the clamp that holds it to the mirror frame broke. I will be needing to replace both of these mirrors but won't be purchasing this style again. 414947

I bought a 3rd tow mirror to replace one that fell off during our travels. That particular mirror kept sagging from the fixed position, so needed a lot of retightening. After one adjustment, I suddenly noticed it was missing! Simply slid off. (The driver's side mirror had NO problem with sagging, and didn't come off. (After the loss, I did keep checking the tightness every time I was out of the vehicle!) Aside from the loss, I am VERY happy with the mirrors. They function exactly as I had hoped. I found that the passenger-side mirror is not really missed on the Toyota Tundra. 379293

Comments

My experience with the CIPA mirrors has been spotty. The products are great, work really well, to a point. First, I lost one on the road, by not tightening it enough. I found that with my rig, a 26 pull-behind, the right -side mirror does little good. So most of my April 2017 trip was made with only the left side. I reordered a new mirror, and when installing them for my April 2018 trip, I OVER TIGHTENED the right side one, and broke one of the mounting clips. So again, I travelled with only the left side mirror. And again I ordered a new one. I am disappointed that CIPA does not make available the mounting clips for this unit. I now have a complete mirror unit except for one missing clip! I noticed that CIPA offers replacement parts for other units.

These mirrors are awesome! We bought these for our 2015 Toyota Tundra that we use to pull our 16ft Airstream trailer. We have been traveling for years and didn’t know what we were missing! We bought one for each side, and they were very easy to attach and are so versatile! They are very steady in the wind as well. I would recommend checking the clamps as you go, they loosened up a little. I highly recommend these mirrors! 449502

Not well...they seemed good at first, but while traveling on a 2 lane road with oncoming semi trucks they blew off and broke. We were disappointed because we liked the better vision. We have gone with another brand that has stronger clamps and have attached a safety strap just in case.

Extended mirrors arrived in a timely fashion (day earlier than expected). Concerned at first from the smashed, partially opened condition of the outer shipping box (USPS must have crushed it in shipping). Interior two boxes, with mirrors, were unscathed! Mirrors are real impressive......Very well engineered, and manufactured out of solid, but light material. Directions, and a single allen wrench tool to make minor adjustments to already assembled mirrors were a real plus to attaching mirrors to Toyota tacoma. Skookum attachment with no worries of damaging finish of vehicle's mirror with the design of this extender mirror. Once in place, the mirror has unlimited adjustment positions to give you the proper visual prospective down the side of towed trailer. This is the real Mccoy! Haven't yet had it out on the road up to highway speeds, but from what I see so far, there should be no problem. 389968

This is my response to your request. Yes I did purchase the 2 mirrors for towing purposes. They worked perfectly in town at lower speeds. However, when I went on my first highway trip at 65-75 mph speed one fell off. Approximately 1 hour later I removed the 2nd mirror because it was about ready to fall off. Now, I am not a rookie when it comes to towing or hooking up towing mirrors. For the past 25 years I snowmobile traveling 400-500 miles a trip pulling a covered trailer on most of those trips. The mirrors seemingly could not handle the intense force of air (maybe cold air specifically) against them just by the two top of the mirror brackets. Also, I contacted (via e-mail) your company requesting the possibility of purchasing an additional bracket because I broke one. Received no response. I concluded that this style of towing mirror, is not equipped to handle my towing needs. Subsequent to these mirrors I have purchased a set of mirrors that attach at the top and bottom of my SUV mirror and they work great. 477700

Very pleased - easy to attach. I check the knobs daily and no problems. Gives me the added vision around my trailer both on the highway and in parking. Very stable for an add on mirror. very pleased, glad for another site's help in finding them and I would recommend to a friend. 457060

Just received my extension mirror today. Had to reverse the “hand” of it to the left drivers side, as it came that way, but it was simple. After reading other reviews I chose to buy a third clamp to add to the bar and insure its stability, as some had issues with it getting loose in transit. It’s now set to the position I’ll need when we take our new Travel trailer out on the road in a few weeks. So far I’m thinking it’s the perfect replacement to the suction cup style I had tried that bounced and shimmied and made it strange to view traffic behind me. This new etrailer extension mirror clamped tight and feels very firm on the body of my 2014 F-150. We’ll see how it goes but my guess is it’s going to be what I hoped for. Price is right IMO, if it holds securely to the vehicle mirror. I really don’t expect it to loosen. 556372

Used for about 6000 mile trip. Used on Toyota 4runner. Vibrated some due to plastic mirror body on vehicle. Also in strong winds vehicle mirror would swing back. Easy to install, adjust and good field of view. Ended up using CIPA door mount mirror because of problems with vehicle mirror this was attached to, but preffered this mirror to door mount if vehicle mirror was sturdier. 4runner mirrors are narrow so fully extended to see beyond trailer which made problems worse. Still sometimes use this mirror on passenger side since easier to adjust than door mount. Note, there are no custom or real good tow mirrors for a 4runner. There are issues with the door mount mirrors also. Tried the strap on mirrors, did not work at all, not enough extension. Well made mirror, do need to make sure they are clamped on tight, one fell off first time I used. 293711

Received these towing mirrors and from the look of the construction and quality these are going to work fine. Purchased a few additional mounting brackets to carry in case we need them down the road. Actually mounting these at the bottom of my original mirrors and that works very well with them. Installed yesterday to check view and range of these mirrors that is excellent and I can kick them out more if needed. They are easy to work with and very adjustable. Overall they had good reviews except for a few people who complained of them loosening or moving. The thing is you need to check any mirror addition and keep an eye on them. Don't under tighten but don't over tighten and strip out the threads either. I don't think that will be a problem if your careful. They are well made and have much more flexibility then previous products I have used over the years. Good investment at a fair price. 418824

I was very disappointed in the design of these mirror extenders. After carefully following the mounting instructions, five minutes on the road out of Vegas in the wind and the driver's side mirror came flying! I stopped and removed the passenger side mirror unit for fear it would hit my vehicle, my trailer or another motorize vehicle. A complete waste of money! 449481

Easy to install. I bought a pontoon boat and trailer which requires a mirror extension. My range of view is greatly improved. The clamps attach very nice to the mirrors which is much better that a rubber strap configuration. Fully adjustable bracketry with a solid mount and very little vibration. Highly recommended. 471422

after all kinds of checking tightness I still managed to lose one mirror on the intestate. But in evaluating my mounting I am not necessarily blaming the product. I did however realize there is another method of attaching the mirror to my jeep. SO see attached image. SO far works great and I think it looks better than clamping to the top of my OEM mirrors. 526078

Bought for a 2017 Tacoma. I will be returning. The idea is awesome, they extend and the mirror rotates. However the clamp system is junk. One clamp fit good closest to the door, the clamp furthest away or closer to the mirror needed a little persuasion. Once on, i tightened the clamp down and i can hear my plastic start cracking, i stop, back it off a lil bit, tighten rhe other clamp, both clamps tighted well, so i test the mirror by bumping slightly with my hand and the mirror falls off. I repeated theis three times tightening the clamps more the second and third time thinking this is going to break my plastic nirror housing... it didnt, but it was the same result each time. Slight bump of my hand on the mirror and it falls right off. No way this mirror will staY2 on going down the road. Returning for a refund. 647284

The product appears to be very good but it will not fit on my 2019 Silverado. The trim around the front of the mirror will not let the clamp go far enough to tighten up on the mirror. I love the design and hopefully they can design it a little different to enable it to work on all mirrors. Thank you. 646579

I originally purchase the CIPA Universal Fit Clip on Mirrors for my Toyota Highlander. Do not waste your money. They constantly moved while driving and did not keep the trailer in view. The CIPA clamp on mirrors stay in place and provide great viewing angles with NO Vibrations! Easy to install, and can be adjusted many ways. I must also say that etrailer provided excellent customer service and price matched to [other on-line retailer]. Very pleased! 638415

I do not normally do reviews. I am extremely happy with these mirrors. Easy to install and adjust. Very secure. Large mirror can be vertical or horizontal. Best part is they are stable at highway speeds, unlike other universal fit mirrors I have returned. Vehicle is 2018 Ford Transit van. Telescoping mirrors are not available. This is the best option I have found to safely tow a trailer. Great price and fast shipping from etrailer. Highly recommended. 634653

These mirrors work great except for one main point. make sure you double check the the tightening screws, that attach to the top of the the original vehicle mirror, are tight. When driving , on a hot day, the tightening screws tend to loosen a bit. Just a quick double check of the bolts works. 605074

Used these mirrors with my 2017 Nissan Frontier pulling a 28.5' Outback camper. The mirrors worked great. These mirrors are easy to mount and with no vibration. The mirrors allow me to safely change lanes and are a big help when backing my camper. I now have 2015 F250 to pull my camper with, but I keep the mirrors in the Nissan just in case. Out of all options I suggest the K-Source # KS3891 because of its high customer ratings. This mirror fits both driver- and passenger-side mirrors and is sold singly; order two to equip both mirrors on the truck....

  • Towing Mirror Recommendations for a 2016 Ford Expedition LE Limited
  • Since the side mirrors on your 2016 Ford Expedition do not have a bottom lip I recommend a universal mirror such as # CM11980 which will work with just the top lip on your mirrors. Another option is door mount mirror # 11650 which will work as long as there is no cladding on the bottom of the door that would affect the fit of the bottom hook. I have linked videos on both of these mirror options for you.

  • Towing Mirror Recommendations for a 2016 Chevy Traverse
  • For your 2016 Chevy Traverse you can use # 11953 for a single mirror, # CM11980, which is also a single mirror, or # KS3990 for a pair of mirrors. I have included links to videos on all three of these mirrors for you.

  • Will the CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirror # CM11980 Fit a 2002 Ford Explorer
  • The CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirror # CM11980 is a universal tow mirror. We haven't had a chance to test fit it on a 2002 Ford Explorer as of yet, but I see no reason why they wouldn't fit. We have confirmed that this mirror fits over 100 different vehicles, 4 of which have been different model year Explorers (see linked videos). They will not affect any of the functions of your stock mirrors. If you were wanting to order 2 of them then we have those listed as part # CM11980-2.

  • Towing Mirror Recommendation for a 2016 Honda Pilot
  • I really like the K-Source Universal Towing Mirror # KS3891 that you have for your 2016 Honda Pilot. I think you would be much happier with them over the CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirror # CM11980 that you are also considering. The Cipa only attaches to the top of the mirror so it would be more susceptible to movement while you are travelling. The only other towing mirror you might consider would be a door mounted mirror like the part # 11650 these are very stable and offer a pretty...

  • Towing Mirrors for 2015 Buick Enclave
  • We can help you with a set of towing mirrors for your 2015 Buick Enclave. No custom-fit towing mirrors are offered for the car but we have several options in universal-fit towing mirrors that will work great. K-Source mirror kit # KS3990 is a set of two dual-lens mirrors that clip on to the Buick's OEM mirrors. For a similar pair of single-lens towing mirrors they offer part # KS3891-2. Both work great on mirrors that have a gap between the actual glass surface and the outer housing....

  • Towing Mirror Recommenation for 2008 Acura MDX
  • I searched our inventory at etrailer.com and we don't have any custom towing mirrors that are confirmed to fit any Acura MDX between years 2007 thru 2013. The model you selected, the CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirror # CM11980, fits other makes and models. However, if your mirror dimensions are between 7-1/4" wide x 4-1/2" tall they may work due to them being universal mirrors. This universal-fit mirror clamps onto your factory side-view mirror to extend your line of sight while...

  • Fit and Compatibility of Towing Mirrors for a 2009 Toyota Tacoma Sport
  • The CIPA # CM11980 is a universal fit mirror that clamps onto your factory side-view mirror to extend your line of sight while you're towing. This will fit a manual or powered mirror with a lip between the housing and the glass. Check out the installation video I have attached at the 1:14 minute mark. This will show the adjustable clamps the mirror uses to mount. I took a look at some vehicles like your Sport and the mirror housing looks like it would be a good fit for the # CM11980. For...

  • Recommended Towing Mirror For 2004 Chevrolet Silverado With Extending Mirrors
  • I called my contact at CIPA and asked about towing mirrors on your 2004 Silverado. The Custom Slip on Mirrors, part # CM10800 you asked about are not a fit on your extendable mirrors but I do have a solution that will work for you. I recommend the Universal Clamp On Mirrors, part # CM11980. These mirrors clamp to the frame of your truck mirrors and can be extended from 10 to 17 inches. We also offer a Blind Spot Mirror, part # CM49805. This mirror has a convex lens which gives...

  • Towing Mirror Recommendation for 2014 Nissan Xterra
  • The CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirror, Clamp-On # CM11980 that you referenced will work well for a towing mirror on your 2014 Nissan Xterra. This towing mirror will allow you to extend the mirror out to provide you with the best view of the road and your trailer. I have attached a review video of the # CM11980 mirror for you. Personally, I like the K-Source Universal Towing Mirror, Clip-On # KS3891. This mirror attaches to your Xterra's mirrors by clipping on the top and bottom of the...

  • Recommended Towing Mirrors for 2003 Ford F-350
  • If you have manual mirrors, I recommend the K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors - Manual - Driver and Passenger Side, # KS61067-68F. These are custom fit mirrors for your vehicle that extend 21-1/2 inches from the side of your truck when extended and 18 inches when retracted. I've attached a video review of this product for you. The mirror faces are adjustable for you. If you want the power, heated version of these mirrors, I recommend the # KS61095-96F.

  • Universal Towing Mirror for a 2012 Toyota RAV4
  • Clip-on towing mirrors such as # KS3891 do work better with some mirrors than others. The flatter the back side of the housing the better it will fit. As long as there is a gap between the mirror glass and the housing than # CM11980 is one option. It only attaches at the front housing so the shape of the mirror housing will not matter. There isn't really a better option that I would recommend for your 2012 Toyota RAV4.

  • Recommendation for Universal Fit CIPA Tow Mirror for 2014 Honda Ridgeline
  • I wasn't able to find exact matches to the part numbers you referenced, but I believe you're referring to the CIPA Dual-View Clip-On Towing Mirror # 11953 and the CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirror, Clamp On # CM11980. Since these mirrors are universal fit towing mirrors, CIPA doesn't release fit information for the mirrors. The # 11953 mirror will clamp to both the top and bottom of the factory mirror housing. We have fit this mirror to a Honda Ridgeline, and I have attached the review...

  • Fit of Cipa Universal Fit # CM11980 Clamp on Towing Mirror on 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee
  • As long as there is a gap between the mirror housing and the mirror itself, the Cipa # CM11980 will fit the factory mirror on your 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It should not interfere with the operation of the mirror. You might consider the K-Source # KS3891 universal Towing Mirror. The mirror features ratcheting straps for a tight, nearly vibration free fit that won't inhibit minor mirror adjustments. As you can see from the reviews, this mirror is rated highly by our customers. I've...

  • Recommended Towing Mirror Options for 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class
  • If the OEM mirrors on your 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class have a 1/2-inch gap between the mirror housing and the actual glass mirror surface then the clip-on style of towing mirror, like CIPA # CM11980, will be a good choice for extending your field of view when towing your camper trailer. This unit is illustrated in the linked review video. Another option is a door-mount mirror, part # 11650 also from CIPA, that grabs your fender and provides about 17-inches of extension and a 5 x 7-inch...
