Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies and some interior paneling to access this harness.
Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because your vehicle runs on a multiplex wiring system, the wiring needs to be converted to be compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff for etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this T1 vehicle wiring harness with the 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector. Now this is a custom-fit part. It is designed to fit the 2021 and newer Honda Civic sedan vehicles, and on a custom fit part like this one I do recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and this will work for your application. Now this wiring harness provides a nice 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector at the back of your vehicle, the power of your trailer signal lights. And this is compatible with 5 Pole 6 Pole and 7 Pole adapters that we do sell separate on the website.
This harness does connect very quickly and easily. All you do is locate your connection points which will be behind the tail lights. Plug in your T connectors, right here, ground your white wire and then run this power wire to your vehicle's battery. Now, this wiring harness does include this black box which is a module-like tail light converter box. And that's to ensure that your vehicle's wiring will match that of your trailer.
It is a powered module. That's why you'll connect directly to the battery and that's to avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system. And this is constructed using SMT technology which is Surface Mount Technology. That'll give you more consistent, reliable performance. It'll help maximize the trailer light, yield and intensity while producing minimal heat.
And it does ensure superior operation in rough road conditions. If you notice on the 4-Way, it has this integrated dust cover on it, so when you're not plugged into your trailer, you just put it over the terminals to protect them. A few specs on this harness, the maximum amperage for the stop and turn light circuit is five amps per circuit. For the tail lights 7.5 amps per circuit. And the last thing I wanna do is just go over these parts where they all connect.
Does come with a nice set of instructions. It'll describe how this installs, but as we mentioned, you'll start at the rear of the vehicle and you'll go behind the tail lights. And then you'll find your connection points which will be shown in the instructions to plug in these T Connectors. All three of them here. Once you get those all plugged in, this converter box has a little weight to it so you don't want it bouncing around. So they have a tab on it, you can put a screw through it to hold it into place or they do include a piece of double-face tape that you can use to attach it down. Once that's all attached down, run your wire here with the 4-Way out towards the back. And then again you have these who remaining wires to connect. The white one if you notice has an eyelet on it. So that's telling you it needs to go to a good clean ground. There's one nearby. You can use that. If not, you can make your own ground. They give you a grounding screw that you can use. Once that's done, then all all you have to do is run this power wire this black wire right here, and you'll run that to the front of the vehicle where the battery is. And the way to do that is they give you this length of wire and the connectors you need. So you'll take one of the Butt Connectors, put it on there, and connect it to one end of this length of wire. And then you'll run that length of wire up to the front of the vehicle. Once you get up to the front, take the other Butt Connector. You don't want to connect it directly to the battery. You wanna run it through this In-line Fuse holder. So just like that you'll connect one side to the fuse holder. And then on the other side of the fuse holder, take the eyelet connector, connect that, and that'll connect to your battery. Once they're all connected, pop this open, take the included 15 amp fuse, put that 15 amp fuse in there. Push it down, install it, put the cap on it. And then your system's all ready to go. If you notice they do give you some extra cable ties here to take up any length of the wiring. But that should do it for the review on this T1 vehicle wiring harness with the 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector..
