Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in the rear cargo area. You will have to remove the trunk floor coverings, ceiling light, ceiling panel, side trim panels, and side access panels to access this harness.
Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in an out-of-the-way location within your rear cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Plug & play… made some modifications as Alfa is somewhat unique. Decided to do the wiring while the rear fascia was off the car while access was better. We chose the Draw Tight receiver. Have the 7 wire plug and Curt Bluetooth controller on order. Wow, things sure have changed since the ‘60s!
Bought this for my Alfa Romeo Stelvio ti Sport. This is a great product, totally plug and play, no cutting wires. The video was a big help I watched it a couple times. If you have the HK system with a subwoofer you will need to remove four nuts to pull it out a few inches to gain access. There's a hole behind it you will need to fish the wires through it to the tail light. This is the hardest part of the job, I have big hands and I did it. The passengers side is easy. Also drivers side wires are short so just mount the box next to the sub. All parts needed were with the kit, only needed to buy new clips that broke when removing trim piece that covers the rear hatch latch. After installing I hooked it up to my recently rewired trailer with LEDs and it worked perfect. If it wasn't for the video I probably wouldn't have attempted this on a $55K Itailan car but, all is good. Thanks etrailer.com!
It works perfect for carrying my bike. hardware was missing but they been a great help sent me a new set. Really happy with customer service
It's a nice kit and the connectors work well. The problem is the left (driver's) side wiring is about 2 feet too short. With the bass speaker it is impossible to get the bulky connectors through to the light assembly. I ended up cutting the yellow and brown wires and running them through and splicing the wires to the harness plugs at the light assembly end. Over priced at nearly $xxx!
Installation instruction were clear, accurate and easy to follow and execute. Perfect functionality first time, no redo, no troubleshooting needed. Plug in as per installation instructions and 'pin on' your trailer and go!
Good product
Product itself was easy to install. Problem was in the instructions. Much more involved than the instructions show. Also many errors in the instructions looks like the started with another vehicles instruction and edited. But did not proof read. Example says you need a drill, but the instructions say not to drill (which you do not need to) but than it tells you to drill a whole. Also Ned to dissembled much more.
Excellent product! Works perfectly and was easy to install.
