Features to know about

Plug and Play Simplicity: Custom-Fit Connector Design

Installing trailer wiring can be a daunting task, but the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness eliminates all the hassle with its plug and play design. This custom-fit connector easily plugs directly into your vehicle's OEM tow package wiring harness. No cutting, no splicing—just straightforward and user-friendly. Perfect for a seamless install that gets you on the road quicker.

Keep Your Electrical System Safe: Powered ModuLite Converter

Overloading your vehicle’s electrical system is a major concern when wiring a trailer. The T-One Harness includes a powered ModuLite converter that bypasses car circuits, reducing strain and ensuring compatibility with your trailer. This smart technology allows your trailer's lights to function without affecting your vehicle’s lights.

Convenient Compatibility: 4-Way Flat Connector for Versatile Towing

Don’t let incompatible connectors hold you back. The 4-way flat trailer connector is the industry standard for most light-duty trailers, ensuring you can hook up effortlessly. It's also compatible with additional 5-pole, 6-pole, and 7-pole adapters (sold separately), making it versatile enough for various towing needs.

Tackle Installation with Confidence: Comprehensive Installation Support

Dismantling car panels to access wiring points can be intimidating, but this harness turns that challenge into an easy task. Remove your vehicle's rear cargo covers, route the harness, and rest easy knowing the 16-gauge bonded wire ensures durability. Comprehensive instructions, coupled with an installation video, help you master it like a pro.

Stand the Test of Time: Corrosion-Resistant Electrical Connections

Weatherproof your connectors with a simple touch of dielectric grease—recommended to keep water and rust at bay. This precaution, along with a dust cap for the 4-way flat connector, ensures long-lasting performance, regardless of the elements.

Perfect Fit for Your Vehicle: Custom Wiring for Honda Pilot

Designed specifically for the Honda Pilot, this harness fits like a glove, ensuring reliable connectivity and performance. Whether you have back-up sensors or not, the harness adapts to your vehicle’s specifications to keep you towing safely.

Installation

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is in your rear cargo area, on the driver's side. You will have to remove the floor covers, cargo trays, and some interior paneling to access this harness. Once you've plugged in the connector, you will have to route the harness through the jack storage compartment to the center of your vehicle. Afterward, locate the fuse box under your hood and insert the provided fuses.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

ModuLite Powered Tail Light Converter

A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights.

Note

This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.

With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Need to have better instructions on cleaning the bolts before installing the hitch. Otherwise, product is great.

2022 Honda Pilot

The installation was exactly as the video showed. The hardest part was working in tight area to get the grommet installed and using the zip ties to attach the controller box. But very simple other than that.

by:

Hitch and harness arrived on time and the YouTube videos are awesome to watch and get things installed the first time. This is my second hitch from etrailer and I will always buy from them. Keep up the great work!

by:
2016 Honda Pilot

I'm just an average Joe, certainly not an auto mechanic; the wiring harness was easy to install. The written directions and the video made this very easy.

by:
2022 Honda Pilot

Easy enough to install with YouTube video help, getting behind rear panels was time consuming but all worked great.

2016 Honda Pilot

Great harness and it looks good with the bracket to keep it in place. My only problem was being unable to locate the back up sensor wiring to connect to the harness. I’ve watched your videos but none of them include locating and connecting the “blue” wire harness. I dug around and followed my truck’s sensor wire but I was unable to locate the connector. My guess is it’s buried behind the jack holder which makes it inaccessible unless you remove the entire panel, not just peel it back like in the videos.

Thank you for your review. If you cannot locate where to plug the blue wire in I would go to your local dealership. They will be able to pinpoint where it would be at. Here is an expert answer that can be of some help:

Honda Pilot

16 Pilot Touring model. Truly plug-and-play. I opted to NOT run it out of the bottom. Instead, I run in out the back hatch when needed (I only tow a few times a year). I did have a problem with the hatch thinking it was stuck on something, but I move the wiring loom a bit and just have the flat wire at the hatch opening. Then I can put it all back behind the small door on the left side of the 'smugglers hold' and it is gone from sight.

This continues to be perfect for my occasional use. Only problem was when the tailgate was closing it would sometimes not fully close and bounce up I had to remove part of the wiring loom to have just the flat part of the wires exposed where the tailgate closed. Doesnt cause any damage or wear on the wires but the wiring loom was just too large and it set off the sensor which was a good thing cuz its about the size of a finger. Again perfect for me because we dont tow that often.

by:

Absolutely awesome! Worked like a champ, easy plug and play.

So happy to hear that! :) What are you towing with your Pilot?

by:

I installed the wiring harness, brackets, and tow receiver 12 months ago. This was a simple job to do. The video tutorial made it even simpler. Everything works as described. I only HATE the plates that hold the harness under the car (already rusting), I had to bend one 90 degrees to make it work and the harness falls out of the other plate when whenever I use it (see photo).
Harness - Perfect
Receiver - Perfect
Plate - 0 stars

Overall I like it and I would recommend their products. Please fix this issue.

2021 Honda Pilot

Great product $800 cheaper than what the dealer wanted to charge me. Was easy to install with the video on the trailer hitch and wiring harness. Was stated that the foot sensor for the tailgate may not work with this trailer hitch but on the 2021 pilot AWD the sensor is offset so it still works. work Sensor is located at parked in pic. I think the sensor is only offset on the AWD models.

by:

Very easy to install and works good.

by:

I was able to install the hitch I ordered, the wiring harness and the bracket ALL while listening to Cleveland and Tampa in the wildcard playoffs, even before the extra innings!
The instructional videos online were thorough and I had no questions. All works as required! I’ll highly recommend etrailer to everyone. Thanks again for the fine craftsmanship of your hitches and the accessories.

by:

Worked perfectly once installed. Missing one star because of the installation process. I had to make a few phone calls over a harness plug that didn't seem to go anywhere in my pilot. I got varying answers. One was fortunately correct and then no issues since installed 1 year ago by myself.

by:

I purchased this trailer hitch receiver, light wiring harness and hitch and ball. Everything has worked the way it was supposed to and was super easy to install. I am very happy with the prices and the product!

by:

Thus part fit perfectly and required no special automotive or electrical skills to install. The accompanying installation video was a huge help too.

by:

This is amazing. The video was extremely helpful. Lucky for me, I didn’t have to drill any holes to insert the wiring for the lighting harness. This system is perfect!

by:
2019 Honda Pilot

I haven't installed trailer wiring in many, many years! Last time I did that, I botched splicing into my vehicles wiring and it ended up costing me way more than it should have. But, the video installation gave me the confidence to give it a try.

This was insanely easy to do!!! From start to finish - 10 minutes to install and test! So grateful for the video, I saved a fortune doing this myself. Great tips in the video, too, and my installation looks really professional. Very happy!

by:

Easy to install. Very pleased!
