Installation

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located inside your trunk, behind the tail lights on both the driver's side and passenger's side. You will need to remove some interior trim or carpeting to access the harness. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead with the attached fuse holder to the car battery in your trunk. Connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed within your trunk.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

ModuLite Powered Tail Light Converter

A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.

With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Truly was plug and play, hardest part was routing the power wire to the battery. Installation of the tee connectors was a 10 minute operation. 747674

I've used it about three times now with no issues. All blinkers work as they should, hazard lights are all in sync, and the brake lights function as expected. Installation was pretty simple with the exception of running the wire from under the car up through the engine compartment by myself. A second person or a specialized tool would've made that a bit easier though. Make sure you put in your vehicle before searching for the product. I found the product then put in my vehicle and didn't get an option for LED vs non LED headlights because the first product I found was for LED headlights so I got the wrong product. Customer Service worked with me to get the correct product shipped out quickly though. 593391

We are pleased with both the wiring harness and the Curt hitch receiver. The written and online video instructions were accurate and very helpful. All the parts fit perfectly and went together as per the instructions. It took my son-in-law and myself about two and a half hours to complete the installation.we backed the car up on steel ramps, installed the hitch and wiring harness. We ran the wire to the battery through a grommet in front of the drivers side tail light and started toward the front. Then we drove off the ramps, placed them in front so we could work under the car and finish installing the wiring. We will use the hitch to pull a light trailer and perhaps for a bicycle rack. This hitch will enable us to hall items we purchase or want to move without renting a truck or paying for a delivery. Thanks for a good buying experience. 164059

  • Replacement Trailer Wiring Harness For 2013 Toyota Tacoma
There are a couple options depending on the wiring you have on your Tacoma. If you smashed your 4-way connector on your truck and want to replace the entire wiring harness then I recommend part # 118496. This plugs into the vehicle wiring either behind the tail lights or along the frame rail of your truck. This includes the tail light converter and is a plug and play harness. If you tore up the 4-way connector you can simply just use a 4-way connector like part # HM48030. You can...

  • Does the Power Wire of the Tow Ready Wiring Harness for 2014 Honda Accord Need to Run to Battery
I can only recommend what the manufacturer of the Tow Ready Wiring Harness # 118596 recommends for routing the power wire, which is that you will need to route the wire to the positive side of your vehicle battery. The purpose of routing it to the battery is to protect the delicate wiring of your 2014 Honda Accord. In the event of a short on your trailer, even though it has minimal lights, this added protection will ensure that you would not damage the wiring of your vehicle. This could...

  • Towing Capacity of a 2013 Honda Accord Touring
You are correct that the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 24899 which is a fit for your 2013 Honda Accord Touring has a 2,000 lb gross trailer weight (GTW) capacity. However, the vehicle only has a 1,000 lb gross trailer weight (GTW) capacity and since this is the lowest rated component in the system, it will need to be the figure you abide by. Therefore, I cannot recommend you use this vehicle to tow a 2,500 lb vehicle even with a tow dolly. If you choose to do so...

According to the online copy of your owner's manual, your 2013 Honda Accord Coupe has a maximum total trailer weight limit of 1,000 lbs. This includes the weight of the trailer, cargo, and everything inside or loaded on top of it. While CVT (continuous variable transmission) vehicles aren't ideal for trailer towing, as long as you adhere to the limits outlined in your owner's manual, you shouldn't have any problems. I suggest confirming this information on your hard copy of the owner's...

  • Trailer Hitch, Wiring, and Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2013 Honda Accord
Since you plan on using the hitch for bikes I recommend Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24899. First, if you were to use a Curt hitch they require the use of a stabilization strap, # 18050, when using the hitch for a bike rack or cargo carrier. Draw-Tite does not have this requirement. The recommended ball mount, pin, and clip is # 3593. And for a ball I recommend # 19256 for a 1-7/8 or # 19258 for a 2 inch. If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier...

Out of the available trailer hitches for your 2015 Honda Accord I recommend going with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11681 over the Draw-Tite Sportframe # 24899. They are both identical in Class and weight ratings and come with a 1-1/4" receiver. Please note that Class I trailer hitches are only rated to carry up to 2 bikes. • How to Tell LED From Incandescent Taillights to Choose Trailer Wiring Harness on 2015 Honda Accord
There a few different ways to determine this. You can have a helper activate the turn signals, running lights and brakes. If a single bulb lights for each function (on each side of the car) then you have incandescent lamps. If you have LED's each function will be illuminated by many, smaller lamps. I'll provide you with a photo showing an incandescent lamp next to an LED version of the same lamp. The lamps shown are on a trailer, not a car but you'll get the idea. Or, you could open...

The Draw-Tite Class I Sport Frame Receiver Hitch # 24899, which is confirmed to fit your vehicle, has a 200 pound tongue weight capacity. There is not a trailer hitch available for your vehicle that features a higher tongue weight capacity. • Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid
We haven't had the chance to install a trailer hitch on a hybrid model of the 2015 Honda Accord so I don't have a video. Apparently according to at least 1 customer there is an air dam underneath that will need to be trimmed but that is not covered in the instructions for any of the hitches so it is a situation where you just have to use the hitch as a template to trim away the necessary area. Since you want to tow you should consult the vehicle owners manual, especially for a hybrid,...
