Quickly and easily install a 7-way, RV-style trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom wiring harness. T-One connector plugs into existing tow connector - no cutting, splicing or tapping required.

  • Provides a 7-way, blade-style trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights
    • Compatible with 4-pole, 5-pole and 6-pole adapters (sold separately)
  • Connects quickly and easily - no cutting or splicing of wires
    • Locate connection point behind rear tire
    • Plug in T-connector
  • Constructed of 16-gauge bonded wire
  • 1-Year limited warranty

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the rear tire, on the driver's side.

Once installation is complete, the 7-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plug on your automobile and the 7-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Highly recommend this to anyone! It was relatively easy to install (the video attached to the tracking info helped tremendously with that). Super simple "plug and play" wire connections. The only downside- you need to order the support bracket separately. I decided to mount mine next to the license plate in the bumper so I had to buy some small bolts to attach it to the bumper. Had both the wiring harness and the hitch installed in about 2 hours. 746348

Perfect fit, plug and play harness. Easy to install. Didn't come with a mounting bracket but that was my fault as I didn't look at the picture closely. 611845

I don't know where to start when reviewing this company. First, the products they sell are top notch, at prices no one can beat. Secondly their online support with videos and detailed installation procedures is "unmatched" by any online company. If they can't walk or talk you through it, it probably can't be done! But perhaps the best quality product they have is their staff. When you call they are most courteous, extremely helpful, and will go above and beyond making your transaction right. I have purchased from etrailer numerous times for these very reasons. And my latest purchase ran into shipping problems (not etrailers fault) and yet Stacey A., Greg & others whose names I forgot (my apologies) made it right. Bottom line, as a frequent online shopper, I can only wish that other online companies would look at etrailers business model and choose to emulate them. This is how online SHOULD be. Thanks again etrailer.com 636861

Easy install. Be sure to order the correct mounting bracket for the 7 blade plug, if needed. Didn't see a "recommended" bracket part# on the T harness product page. Ordered what I thought would be the correct one, now I have an extra paper weight. If you intend to mount the 7 blade plug on the bottom side of the bumper, I would suggest mounting your hitch (if needed) first before drilling the 2 mounting holes. I had to move my original mounting location due to clearance issues after installing the hitch on a 2018 Ford F-150 XL step bumper. 570209

2018 Ford F-150

This is the easiest way to install a 7 prong plug on a 2018 F-150 with a 4 prong already installed by the factory. Plug and play. Mine already had all the wiring in the factory plug for the upgrade. No need to run a brake control wire from the cab to the plug. 607433

Ask the Experts about this Tekonsha Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring

  • Does Tekonsha 7-Way for 2016 Ford F-150 Have 12 Volt Charge Circuit and Brake Controller Circuit
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118283 that you referenced does have the 12 volt accessory circuit active so you will be able to put a maintenance charge on your dump trailer battery while towing and does have the brake output circuit present but you will need a brake controller installed as well to activate the trailer brakes. Basically the 7-way has the wiring present but you need the brake controller to actually determine how much voltage to deliver to...

  • How to Activate 7-Way Wiring of 2015 Ford F-150
You can either replace the entire setup with the # 118283 on your 2015 Ford F-150 (easiest but most expensive option), or you can extend the two wires on your truck frame to the 7-way you have now to completely activate it. I would go this route since it won't cost you much and you could go do it right now if you wanted to assuming you had 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot). If you check out the picture I attached you'll see where to find these wires.

  • Parts Needed to Install Brake Controller and 7-way for Towing Trailer with Brakes
What you need to tow a trailer with electric brakes is a 7-way trailer connector and a brake controller. So for a 7-way kit that fits your 2015 Ford Transit T350 we have the part number # 22114 which comes with everything needed to install a fully functional 7-way and the wiring needed for a brake controller. Then for a brake controller the I-Command part # 5535 is a really great option. It's proportional which means it senses how hard you are applying the vehicle brakes and then applies...

  • 7-Way Recommendation for 2017 Ford F-150 with 4-Way
We have the Tekonsha 7-way part # 118283 that fits your 2017 Ford F-150 and adds a 7-way to the rear of it easily. It plugs into the same square connector your 4-way connects to for an easy install. This will also work with the brake controller wiring you installed too.

The best option to give you a 7-way and a 4-way at the back of your 2018 Ford F-150 will be to use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118283 for the custom fit connector and harness and then replace the connector with the part # 30955 which will then give you a 7-way and a 4-way.

  • Recommended T-Connector for Second 7-Way Trailer Connector on Truck
To add a second 7-way to your existing 7-way on your 2015 Ford F-150, you will not want to use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118283 but rather the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness with 7-Pole Plug # 41157. This will connect between your current US Car Connector wiring (standard on most trucks) and 7-way connector to give you a T-connection and second fully functional 7-way trailer connection. Many people will choose to have...

  • Parts Needed to Upgrade Factory 4-Way on 2019 Ford F-150 to Control Trailer Brakes
Unless your truck came equipped with a Ford factory trailer brake controller, you will need to install an aftermarket one in order to control the brakes on your trailer. Your truck's computer alone will not be able to act as a brake controller. To upgrade the factory 4-Way flat connector on your 2019 Ford F-150, I recommend using the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118283. I've attached an installation video we did on a similar year F-150 so you can see how...

  • Adding a 7-Way Connector and Brake Controller to a 2018 Ford F-150 with Factory 4-Way
I will be happy to get your 2018 Ford F-150 set up with a 7-Way trailer connector and a brake controller. The method for doing so that requires the fewest parts is to hardwire in the brake controller/7-Way. Since your truck already has a factory 4-Way connector you will just need # ETBC7 to add a 7-Way, retain the 4-Way, and have the parts needed to install a brake controller as well as run a 12 volt hot lead. If you do not already have a brake controller picked out I recommend the...

  • 7-Way and Brake Controller Install Recommendation for 2018 Ford F-150
The T-one 7-Way part # 118283 is a confirmed fit for your 2018 Ford F-150 and will give you a 7-way that wires into the factory harness of your truck. Then for an install harness for a brake controller that plugs into the port under your dash you'd then need the part # 22292 and you'd be ready to install a brake controller. The brake controller I recommend is the Prodigy P3 part # 90195 because this brake controller senses the amount of braking your tow vehicle is applying and puts a...

  • Is Curt Class IV C14017 Hidden Behind Bumper When Installed on 2020 Ford F150
When installed, the Curt Class III receiver hitch, part # C14017 will be mostly concealed behind the bumper. The receiver tube, the safety chain loops and a sliver of the bottom of the crossbar will be visible if you're looking at it straight on, but if you're up higher than that, all that will be visible is the receiver tube and chain loops. To add a 7-way, you can use part # 118283, and plug it inline at the connection between your existing 4 pole and the factory wiring harness. To install the Tekonsha P3 # 90195 brake controller, all you'll need is the # 22292 wiring adapter to connect the brake controller and the connector behind the dash as shown beginning at the 4:35 mark in the brake controller installation video I've linked for you.

  • Recommended Replacement for Factory Hitch on 2016 Ford F-150
I have a solution for you, but the Curt # C14016 hitch you were looking at is designed to sit right below the existing factory hitch, so it's likely not going to be the best solution for you. I'll also add that the hitch on your 2016 Ford F-150 can be removed and replaced, so there is nothing to worry about in that regard. If you want to remove your factory hitch so that a new hitch will sit in that spot and provide a more concealed solution, I recommend using the Curt # C14017, which...

The Reese Multi-Plug Wiring Harness # 74682 is meant more for replacing or upgrading a current 7-Way connector on a 2018 Ford F-150 right at the round US Car Connector. For your rectangular connector that you found you can use part # 118283 instead. Since this only comes with a 7-Way you can upgrade it with the Reese plug so that you have both a 7-Way and a 4-Way readily available for different types of trailer connectors.

And then to convert that to a 7-way and 4-way you'd replace the included socket of this kit with the part # 74682 and you'd have a fully functional 7-way and 4-way for your truck.

  • 7-Way Wiring Harness for 2015 Ford F-150
There is a simple solution for you, but there is no trick to getting the wires of the # 118283 back out since the wires are different gauges due to the brown wire being for the right turn/stop functions and the blue wire being for the trailer brakes. What you can do is cut off the 7-way on the # 118283 and replace it with 7-way connector # HM47210 that has a pigtail; you'll only need butt connectors # DW05745-5 and # DW05744-5 to connect your splices.

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75938 is a perfect fit for your 2016 Ford F-150 Crew Cab. The hitch will work well with an Equal-i-zer weight distribution system with integrated sway control. This combination will work great with a travel trailer you just need to be under the 800 lb max tongue weight capacity when using your Equal-i-zer system as the tongue weight on that hitch is different when using weight distribution. • Troubleshooting Trailer 7-Way Connection Between 2004 Chevy 1500 and 2015 Ford F-150
The Ford Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring Harness, 7-Way # 118242 is the correct harness for certain Ford F-150 models from 1997 to 2004. It uses factory specific plugs and then connects to a US Car connector at the 7-way and that portion is universal yet the t-connector is not. It sounds like you have a trailer that works on one and not the other and the issue with that situation is normally a ground issue on the trailer itself. I suggest re-checking this one fuse position and trying a new fuse, just in case. It sounds like you have issues with both your F-150's own lighting functions as well as those on its trailer connector. This tends to suggest that the place to troubleshoot is the OEM wiring connection under the truck where items like 7-way # 118283 and 4-pole # C56110...
