Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located inside your rear cargo area, behind the tail lights on both the driver's side and passenger's side. You will need to remove the plastic threshold cover, side panels, and cargo trays to access the harness. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed within your rear cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom wiring harness. T-One connector plugs directly into existing wiring. Powered ModuLite reduces strain on wiring system. The product works, but the installation instructions leave a lot to be desired. Following the directions for the driver's side light does not work the wires are too short to route the wires from the inside. It is the same for the passenger's side. The wires must route from the tail lights down to underneath the car. This is my third wiring harness and the issue is always the same. The power converter is not designed to be under the vehicle and lasts only about a year. It's the same issue with the curt harness as well. Wiring modification is needed to the wires to fit the harness with the converter inside the vehicle.
The paper install instructions are not good and are not consistent with etrailer online video. It is not clear in paper instruction where to mount blackbox. Video method avoids routing a T connector through a grommet to tail light assembly as is done in the paper instruction. Video method looks to be a better method because it avoids cutting a grommet. I started installing it based on video but found wire to driver tail light to be too short. Maybe it is not short for the paper instruction method; however, I did not try that. The 2 star rating reflects having inconsistent install instructions and wires too short to support the video instruction
Ultimately, it worked well. The instructions were a bit difficult to follow and resulted in quite a bit of confusion; but once I figured out that I had to remove the tail light the installation was simple. Everything connected and fit well. I would not hesitate to purchase one for my next vehicle.
It works great. On the 2022 Rogue you have to add wire to reach the passenger side tail light. No issues with its operation. Without the wire length issue this kit would be rated 5 stars.
I've installed this type of adapter into several vehicles and have never had a problem. It does take a little time to study the instructions in order to place all the parts in the best location
very fast shipping
It looks very nice
2021 Nissan Rogue.
Not a plug and play installation. Tail lights have to be removed as connectors are not accessible from inside the vehicle. Wires need to be cut and spliced as the hole from the inside the vehicle to the tail light compartment is too small to pass the connectors through.
Do it right, solder and shrink wrap your splices. Probably not a job for a novice. Not my first rodeo with a wire harness.
The connectors worked great. The driver's side connection was 6" too short, the passenger's side was 12" too short and had to be cut and spliced to fit. I called last month to report this. Your vendor needs to modify the harness to fix this. Tekonsha harness 118833.
It worked perfect and easy to install
I purchased this for my 2022 Nissan Rogue SV. I bought this product for its Advertised quick and easy installation -- The T-One Connector idea (should) keep you from having to splice wires or make drastic modifications to your vehicle. This product has a major deficiency.
Three stars are taken away because this was not as easy as it could have been due to poor vehicle research. This resulted in poor product engineering and manufacturing. Connecting the taillights was the most difficult hurdle, but running and connecting the positive wire back to front was easy peasy -- Usually, it is the other way around. The first picture attached shows the "T-One Connector" -- This adapter should be easily and quickly installed between the existing (male) connector and the taillight (female connector). The problem is that the male connector (that connects to the taillight assembly) on the T-One Connector needs be at least 12" longer. The rubber bushing that the wires go through the body of the vehicle, had to be heavily modified to make room for the (male end) T-One Connector, the vehicle OEM connector, and wires to all fit through. The existing four-inch length of the male connector on the T-One Connector does not allow for you to connect the taillight and then re-attach the light back onto your vehicle -- There just isn't enough wire length on the T-One Connector wire to do this any other way than described above.
Overall, the product works. I have not yet hooked up the kayak trailer, but I have tested functionality with a digital multimeter. The only thing that you will be able to see when the trailer is connected is the flat 4-wire cable exiting the rear hatch and the yellow connection and fuse holder under the hood attached to the positive battery post (as expected). The installation kit had the fuse, fuse holder, wire connectors, a lot of black zip ties, and a heavier gauge length of wire to connect the battery to the T-One Module. The instructions are good enough for someone with a good amount of electrical and vehicle knowledge, but if you struggle with figuring things out of this nature, you are best to have someone with the mechanical and problem-solving skills help you. It took me about one and a half hours from start to finish.
The harness is very well made. The plug-in terminals are OEM quality. The only issue I had was with the instructions which I thought didn't adequately explain how to remove the tail light assembly on the 2021 Nissan Rogue. Also, the instructions state a small slit in the grommet is all that's needed to pass the terminals through but I found that not to be the case without destroying the watertight grommet. So I had to cut the wires, pass then through the grommet and splice them back together. Since there's little room to do this I had to splice in (4) 10" lengths to ensure enough room to solder them on to the other end after the taillight assembly was reinstalled. On the Passenger side, there isn't a controller so you only have to cut the two main wires to pass it through the grommet and solder them back. Not a major issue but its a total of 10 splices which added quite a bit of time to the project. The video from the manufacturer does not show the actual installation process and makes if look like its simply plug and play which is not the case. Otherwise, it works great and I'm pleased.
Awful wiring harness. You have to splice the wires because it's to short to behind the car. Fishing the wire up to the battery was a huge pain even with it on a lift. Stay away from this product by all means.
Easy install, installs in about 30 minutes depending on how savvy you are. It works great hauling my Jetski and hides pretty well under the 202 Nissan Rogue. Highly recommend the product.
very easy to install

Excellent product works fine.
etrailer is an easy place to find the right item. I had attempted to purchase this through [online], but their vehicle fitment guide lead me astray! I paid for expedited shipping which was a bit pricey and didn't expedite the delivery much sooner, but I needed the item to meet an appointment.
Tail light pig tails should be longer, barely made connection to tail lite assemblies. The rest of the components worked fine.
Great company to order from. Products are always high quality, and fast response and shipping. My recent order was a hard to find product, It took a minute, but they got it and shipped it right away.. You can with confidence with E Trailer.
Not installed yet. Seems to be made of good quality materials. Look forward to installation of item.
I did have to add about 30” of wire to the right side wires in order to save hours removing interior body panels.Hint Hint.
Works Great.
E-Trailer always sends the correct part in a timely manner.
Works great and still looks good!
I just installed this on my 2021 Nissan Rogue SV. It took me about 7 minutes! Perfect fit and it looks great!
This Wiring Harness does not fit a 2022 Nissan Rogue. I will be deducted $20.00 from my purchase refund because when I called in Andrew told me that "because your company shows that it should fit I will be charged $20 to return it". I have owned and operated an auto body repair shop since 1980. I am not a lay person when it comes to this issue. I have installed hundreds of wiring harnesses and this one does not fit a 2022 Nissan Rogue. I even called my Nissan dealer service dept. and they agreed with me, the 2022 Nissan Rogue is not set up for this wiring harness. I would like a FULL REFUND WITH NO $20 DEDUCTION. I will not purchase from your company in the future.

To access the connectors you will have to remove the plastic thresh hold cover, the side panels, and the cargo trays. On both the drivers and passengers side you will have to provide a slit in the grommet to allow for the T-connectors wiring. There is not a lot of room to work however it will not be necessary to cut the wires to install.
