    • Compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole and 7-pole adapters (sold separately)
  • Connects quickly and easily - no cutting or splicing of wires

  • Maximum amperage:
    • Stop/turn lights: 2.1 amps per circuit
    • Tail lights: 4 amps per circuit
  • 1-Year limited warranty

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your Nissan Pickup's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness.

T-One Connection Location Points Behind Tail Lights

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your Nissan Pickup, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Tail Light Converter

A tail light converter is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your Nissan Pickup's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. The tail light converter combines the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your Nissan Pickup operate.

Video Transcript for Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring 118353 Review

Today, we're going to review part #118353. This is the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. This part number is a custom-fit part number. It is designed to fit the 1986 1/2 to 1997 Nissan Pick-ups and 1987 to 1995 Nissan Pathfinders. I would recommend to go to our website and put in your year and model vehicle and it will tell you exactly if this would work for your application. This does include everything shown here on the table: the wiring harness, the set of directions, some zip ties and a grounding screw. This will provide a 4-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights.

It does connect quickly and easily. There is no cutting or splicing the wires. Basically you just connect these to behind the driver's side and passenger's side taillights. They use these plug-in T connectors. It does include this taillight converter right here and this is designed to ensure that your vehicle's wiring will match the head of your trailer.

Most of the wiring on here is a 16-gauge bonded wire. It does come with a dust cap already installed on the 4-way, so basically when you're not using it, when you're not towing, you can just pop the dust cap right on to protect it. Now, a few specs on this harness: the maximum amperage for the stop and turn light circuit for this is 2.1 amps per circuit, on the taillights is 4 amps per circuit, and basically, it does come with a nice set of instructions with diagrams of where the points are. Basically, if you just go to the rear of the vehicle, and again, access behind your taillights, and what you do is start with this one that has the yellow wire into it. Connect this to behind the taillights. Have this extra white wire with an eyelet on it.

What you want to do is connect this to a good, clean ground, or drill a hole and use this existing screw to get a good, clean ground. Then what you'll do is run this green wire, it's an extra length of wire. This will run over to the passenger side. This would connect behind the passenger side taillights. Now your converter has a double-sided tape on it.

Once you get where the wires are all connected, you want this to be secured, you just peel that, stick it down to a nice flat surface so the converter doesn't move around, and then you just run your length of wire out to the rear of your vehicle. When you're not using it, you can fold it up and put it inside the vehicle. That should do it for the review on part #118353, the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. .

New trailer wheels and wiring harness arrived well-packaged on two days ago. (Ground shipping via UPS from Missouri to SoCal took fewer than seven days despite a two day week-end lay-over in San Bernardino.) I was kept informed by eTrailer folks at the time of order, the time of shipping, and asked for follow-up. What more could I possibly ask for? All are installed and function as promised. Thank you. I recommend eTrailer to everyone who will listen. 134244

I've just installed the wiring harness and so far everything has gone well. Just one light on the trailer wasn't working in one condition but after messing around with the trailer wiring (not the harness purchased) and the connection of the wiring harness, it everything was working fine. It's a breeze to install and works great. I'm only rating it as excellent because at this time it is and no problems with the product, order, shipping or anything else. 38706

WOW! I wish they had these when I bought my little truck in 1988! I pulled out all the old corroded spliced in trailer wiring from my little Nissan truck, plugged in this kit (about 20 minutes total!) and everything worked perfectly. Nice to not have any splicing on the wires :-) I will definitley look for this product again if I am in need. Shipping was quick as well A+++ rating, thank you! 78853

This kit was a life saver. I will never bother to buy the manual wiring kits from the auto store again. When I ordered, I asked about fit and they assured me it would plug and play with my older model Nissan and it did. It was straight forward to install, the quality was like OEM original and it has worked flawlessly for the last year. I highly recommend this product. 267243

My buddy helped me, and when we finished he asked "hey, do they have one that would fit my truck". I was happy with the price, delivery time, and the installation. bob 31354

The biggest problem was getting the original wiring harness apart. Once that was done everything went pretty smooth. I did have to enlarge the holes on the PU body to get the connectors through. This was an easy way to hook up the lights on the trailer to my Nissan PU. Sure beats the way I used to do it. 123234

my trailer works only went the head lights are off went i put the head lights on not thing work. any ideas 91916

It sounds like a ground problem, either the ground of the harness or the ground of the trailers connector. There is a weak ground connection that will only support so much load. Its fine for intermittent brake or turn signals, but when you add a constant load of the running lights, it cant support it.Make sure the grounds are to good, clean metal. No paint or rust.

  • Trailer Turn Signals Both Blink when Just Left Turn Signal is Activated
  • What you are describing is normally the result one 1 of 3 issues: First, there could be some corrosion in or on the connectors on the vehicle or trailer side or both. Second there could be a bad ground. Bad grounds can cause all sorts of bizarre things to happen as electricity likes to take the path of least resistance. And third, sometimes wiring mistakes can be made if the trailer connector is a wishbone type harness (4-Way flat but with 5 wires coming out, 2 for running lights). First...

  • Left Turn Signal Causes all Trailer Lights to Flash and Right Turn Signal Does Nothing
  • If you have the Tow Ready Wiring Harness # 118353 installed on your 1997 Nissan Pickup you will want to check the 4-flat connector with a circuit tester like the Quickee Tester # 3808 and make sure that the wiring on the vehicle is correct and that you have a good ground. It sounds like a ground problem on the trailer is what is causing your lighting problem. You will want to check that the white ground wire on the trailers 4-way is properly grounded to a good, clean area of bare metal...

  • It sounds like there is a combination of issues that are causing the problems you are experiencing. Regarding both blinkers going off together when you engage the left blinker, this could be a bad ground. Bad ground connections can cause all sorts of weird problems. Make sure that the truck side and trailer side connectors are properly grounded to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces. The truck ground is probably tied into the harness that leads to the connector so no worries...

  • Why Would Trailer Lights Stop Working When Headlights of Vehicle are Turned On
  • Try improving the connection of the main ground wire of the trailer wiring harness. Make sure it is attached to a clean metal surface. Or you can run all of the trailer wires back to the main ground. This is actually the ideal solution. But you can also check the current grounds for the lights to make sure they are making a solid connection to a clean metal surface. What you described is the classic insufficient ground scenario so finding a way to improve the grounds will fix the problem.

  • Will a T-One Harness with Modulite On a 1995 Nissan Pickup Work With LED Trailer Lights
  • You would need to use part # 118353 to wire your 1995 Nissan pickup for towing. It includes the necessary taillight converter to make your trailer lights work correctly. You would not need to purchase any other type of wiring, unless you needed to adapt the 4-Way plug to a 5, 6, or 7-Way plug. This part will not cause problems with LED trailer lights. Please note, that it is not suggested to mix LED and incandescent lights on the trailer.

  • Trailer Wiring Harness for First Half 1986 Model Year Nissan Pickup Trucks
  • It sounds like your 1986 Nissan Pickup was built in the first half of that model year life cycle. The harnesses for the 1986 , # 118353 and # C55353 both have converters and are for 1986.5 mid-year models. If your truck does not have separate turn signals and brake lights then neither of these harnesses will work. You would have to hardware in harness # 18252. I have linked a video that shows how you will need to test the wires, either at that round plug you mentioned or behind each...

  • Troubleshooting Running Lights Not Working On Trailer
  • The first thing you want to do is determine if the problem on your running light circuit is on your 2003 Silverado or if it is on your trailer. The easiest way to do this is to use a circuit tester like our part # 3808 and test the circuits while a buddy activates them. Check out the video I attached that shows how to do this. If there is voltage in all the right places then you know the problem is in your trailer. If there isn't voltage on the running light circuit then the problem...

  • Recommended Parts Needed To Install 7-Way Trailer Harness On 1993 Nissan Pickup
  • If you are replacing the White ground wire on your 7-way trailer connector you can use 12 gauge wire like part # 12-1-1. This is Black wire but will work for replacing the White wire you said you have. For your 1993 Nissan pickup truck I recommend first installing a 4-way trailer connector like part # 118353. This is a simple installation. You just plug the harness into the truck wiring located behind the driver and passenger tail lights. I have attached a drawing that shows how this...

  • Trailer Lights Come On when Tow Vehicle is Turned Off and the Trailer Is Connected
  • Since the trailer sat for so long it could be corrosion build up in its trailer connector. The same could be said for the vehicle side. Clean out corrosion with a wire brush and see if that helps. If it does not then you could be looking at a bad ground. Ground problems normally show up when there is more draw on a system such as when you have the running lights on and then use another function like a turn signal or brake light. The main connector grounds should be attached to clean...
