Today we're going to take a look at the Mighty Cord 7-way Vehicle and RV-style Trailer Connector Socket. This part will help you establish a secure connection between your towing vehicle and your trailer with this 7-way RV-style socket. This is a black plastic socket. It has a non-corroding, shock-resistant interior that eliminates shorting out. This is designed to be wired with the pigtail wires. In other words, what you would do is loosen these two screws up here, remove that, put your wire through here, make your connections, put it back in there and tighten those screws down.
The other nice thing is, if you'll notice right here, they use a vinyl insert in the very back here so when your wire goes in here and you tighten it down to hold the wire in place, that vinyl insert will help seal it and keep out any dirt and moisture from getting into your connections. This is made of a high-impact plastic construction to help resist corrosion. The lid on it, as you can see, is a spring-loaded lid. It uses a stainless steel spring. If you notice on the very top of the lid on the inside, you'll see this little safety latch. It's sort of like a hook here.
What that allows you to do is that when you push in your trailer's end socket, that latch will lock that socket in there and keep it from vibrating loose, a very nice feature. They do use copper-plated terminal pins, which give you high conductivity and low resistance. Now this does require hardware and a mounting bracket when you install this on your vehicle. We do sell these items separately on our website and they are usually listed on this product page for this part as a related product. The current rating on this is 30 amps and the volt rating is 12 volts. That should do it for the review on the Mighty Cord 7-Way Vehicle and RV-Style Trailer Connector Socket..
