Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located inside your rear cargo area, behind the tail lights on both the driver's side and passenger's side. You will need to remove the floor panels, storage trays, and interior trim panels to access the harness.
Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead with the attached fuse holder to the car battery. Connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in your cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

This hitch fits great, was easy to install and looks wonderful in the truck.
This product was excellent. I used it because I was travelling across the country towing a trailer and it never failed me. I also bought the bracket and installed it on the outside of the car. The bracket fits perfectly.
workded as advertised. Easy to run along bottom of vehicle and connecting to existing wiring was very easy.
So far so good! I received my items today; Draw-Tite hitch for my 2017 Jeep Renegade, I also purchased the Tekonsha trailer wiring kit. Super excited to watch the install videos again and get to mounting. Thank you everyone at etrailer for making it easy!

Fits perfect and great arrival time on order. Put it on the vehicle and already pulling my trailer.
Trouble shooted what I thought was my problem with my 8' utilitiy trailer. Called etrailer costumer service for more help. They were very helpful. I did have a grounding problem. The trailer used the frame for grounding. Also had trouble with the converter relay in my jeep. Found out it was not compatible.
Order new wiring harness with LED lights, a compatible relay, grounded each light to the harness and everything was been working great.
I got the part and it worked as advertised and is serving its purpose very well. My Jeep Renegade is tow ready thanks to etrailer.com. The site was great in its ability to show results that fit my car specifically and I would definitely recommend others view their products. However, I paid for what was listed as 3-day shipping while in a hurry and it took 5 days. When tracked the package was listed as 3-5day shipping. It would have been helpful to know it was 3-5 day shipping and not 3-day shipping.

Very Well. Once it was hooked up, it worked and still does.
It looks to be all there. Just havent had the time to find out yet...
I trust in etrailer so...Im sure it will be just fine.
Overall an excellent product. I brought it to a truck mod place to have installed and the only issue is that it doesn’t support running lights. Might be my vehicle or the install or the harness or just my misinterpretation but other than that works fine.

I recommend taking a look at the FAQ that we have for trouble shooting with 4 to 5 way harnesses. There could be a couple of reasons that the running lights are nor working. The first would be to check the ground and the second would be to check the connections to make sure that they are solid connections.

Quality product, as advertised. Smooth install with no problems.
I think I received next day! Super fast , and they even called to confirm my address ( it’s a difficult one ) . Very pleased.
Product is 5 star, but 1 star loss as I thought the install was harder than the video showed. I have small hands and I had a bit of trouble getting my and around to do the install. Also, no need to run the battery wire all the way to the front. Pick up a mini add a circuit and easily connect to the rear fuse box. Also, when pulling away the side paneling, the very first one I pulled snapped and broke the plastic connection for it. So instead on the drivers side, I dropped the green wire and connection down the hole and used a small wire hook to fish it into the trunk. Then on the passenger side, I used the wire hook to send it down the hole, then pulled the green wire connection back up into the passenger side panel. Much easier than removing and breaking the side panels.
Install will take 20-30 mins and maybe borrow your kids small hands for some of the help.
Easy to hook up and great quality at some points
1. the double sided tape is useless
2. If I would of ran it underneath my Jeep I wouldn’t of had enough wire to run to the battery I recommend running it the the driver side interior it’s a pain and takes longer but it’s safer the just hanging off the bottom
But other then them 2 issues every thing hooks up like it should and works like it should

Works great no issues since I installed it
As for the wiring; it was kind of a pain to fish up to the terminal block but I managed finally. Would be nice to have a tool to assist with that included in the kit.
Performance wise this hitch is great! It added a whole new depth to the functionality of my vehicle and I would recommend anyone that is even occasionally needing to tow to purchase one for their use.
Pretty straight forward installation. The video was much more helpful than the instructions. Hardest part was getting the wire up through the engine area to the battery. My kit was missing the fuse, so I can't tell if I've wired it properly. The two yellow wire crimps were not very cooperative. After crimping one I still had to use electrical tape as the wire started breaking.
This kit is perfect. Installation was a breeze. All I did was watch the video and follow along. I was able to fish the connector through to the outside along with the power wire so there is no need to pull out the commector and slam the trunk lid on it every time I want to tow. The hitch on the other hand was definitely not a one person job. I managed to install it by myself but it took a lot longer than if I had help. All in all both are great products and I would buy it all over again.

Running lights are not supported. I tested this at my bench and I cannot get the running lights to turn on. The yellow tee turns on the yellow output. Green tee turns on the green output. The brown output is always off which means this product is worthless for night traveling with ANY trailer.

I am so sorry about this. I will make sure get a return label. It sounds like this part is possibly defective.
I installed the harness without any problem. The instructions were adequate but a little overdone (you don't need to pull as many panels as indicated.

Wiring harness has been trouble free. Good quality and is easy to install for this kind of product.
Needing to add a power line to the battery was a difficult part of the installation. Lighting kit works fine.
Pros
Came with everything, easy to put in, took me 30 min or less.
Cons
Doesnt really come with extra parts like yellow crimps or extra self tap screw.
Comments:
I plugged it in my taillights and grounded it, fed the wire down to the bottom and tied it up to the car until later when i got a lift so i coukd run it to the battery more easily. The tailights and blinker worked still without the comenction.
Also, in the back of the jeep is a cigarette outlet. Buddy said i could of attached the wire to a usb plug to plug into that so i didnt have to run under car so that wouldve been an option if i wasnt able to get under the car.
The wiring harness for my Jeep Renegade is a fantastic product! Professionally constructed and extremely easy to install.

The relay has been problem free. I am disappointed to report the wire harness that came with the LED light package I have had to replace. The wire corroded at the butt splices to the lights. Could not get good wire continuing to strip the wire back. Even though they were taped and in a vinyl flex tube for protection. I replaced it with one from my parts box and things have been fine for the last 6 months.
