Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness. The connection point for the 4-way tow harness is located behind the interior trim panel in your rear cargo area. Once you've plugged in the converter, insert the included 10-amp fuse into the integrated fuse holder.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed in an out-of-the-way location within your cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom harness. Connectors plug directly into existing wiring. However, it does not pass any information back to the car to tell it a trailer is installed, which means you have to disable the rear parking sensor EVERY TIME you shift into reverse.
I'm not certain if the factory Hyundai trailer wiring harness would solve this, but it may be worth looking into if you plan to keep a bike rack installed full time or tow frequently.
etrailer makes the install flawless because of support before and after the sale. The videos that cover the install made it so easy. Previously I purchased the Curt III hitch and the video was perfect.
Great company and very competitive pricing
Tip I put the wiring harness in 1/2” tubing along the route to protect from any chafing and used tie wrap to secure. I used JB Weld yo epoxy the bracket to hitch as there were no holes to secure bracket. Solid.
This plug and play harness is So Easy to install
Love it and well worth the money spent.
Thanks to Joanne K at etrailer who helped me with my purchase over the phone. I also purchased the connector and a Curt no show hitch from her.
All were great.
I used this harness to adapt the existing trailer wiring on my 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited to my trailer. The Tucson Limited has the tow package, which provides the manufacturer's wiring harness routed to the rear underside of the vehicle. I simply plugged this T-Connector in to the existing Tucson harness, then routed/fastened the connector near the trailer hitch. It worked perfectly and was very easy to install in a few minutes. I could have installed in less than 5 minutes, but I tried several different routing methods to make it the neatest possible installation. THIS is how all aftermarket equipment should work!
Install was straight forward. Took me a little over 1 hour to install the hitch and wiring harness. Price was great. The dealer wanted 1100 dollars.etrailer was 300 dollars.
Installation was as easy as it gets. Plug and play for my 2022 Hyundai Palisade. Cable lengths were perfect. I added split loom plastic wrap then spiral wrapped the bundle. This makes the install look factory and adds a little protection to the wires.
Box arrived fast. The box had big tear holes on it, however the light kit box was tapped to the hitch so nothing was lost. Great job done by eTrailer to protect order. I've received other orders from other companies that had same box damage and lost most of the hardware. So great job shipping and packing department! Perfect fit, easy install as outlined. Great company to do business with. I've ordered from eTrailer a few times and always had a great experience.

Hey Joe, your box definitely shouldn't have arrived damaged. However, I'm so glad nothing was lost or damaged. Thank you for your understanding and repeated business. I'm sure we will be here to help you when you are ready for your next project!
4th vehicle I’ve used strainer hitch and wiring harness. Simple install with perfect alignment for this 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe. 1 hour start to finish install for hitch and wiring using basic tools. Buy from these guys…couldn’t go more smoothly!
Installation was easy after watching the video herein. The included instructions were, well, why waste the paper? I haven't used it yet but assume it's functional. Made sense to purchase & install with trailer hitch, even though I may have 10% chance of ever using it. Seems like good quality. Used self-tapping anchor screw and double-sided tape. I can imagine the tape will fail at the worst possible time, like on a snowy ascent to the mountains.
This wiring was ridiculously easy to install. Etrailer videos always helpful. I have purchased 2 hitches and wiring harnesses from etrailer and have always been 100% happy!
Shipping was fast. Arrived 2 days after I ordered. I watched how-to video on Website prior to ordering and took less than 5 mins to install wiring kit. Very pleased with this purchase
Perfect fit. Very easy to install. Wish the proper hitch had come to me rather than what was sent and returned. The second hitch that was sent to me was so easy to install. The first hitch was too large and never in a million years even close to fitting my Hyundai Santa cruz
Easy to install. Would have liked for it to include the mount for the 4 prong connector.
I like working with E-trailer. They usually have a solution for every wiring/hitch situation as well as reliable guidance to get me to the finish line.
Easy plug and play, toughest was figuring where to mount the module, drilled hole and placed behind rear wheel panel. Checked lighting and all works fine.
I have installed a few trailer hitches over the years.Wiring always a chore.
The wiring harness you supplied couldn't have been easier, just plugged it in the connector supplied and I had lites. I saw prices between $50 and $?$150. Yours being in the $50 range.
Relatively easy install. Stopped working after a few trips. Curt replaced it and the replacement works(for now). We shall see for how long.
Plug in, support the control box and go for a 2022 Santa Fe. This harness is a must for that "professional" installation.
I installed the harness and it is working like a champ.
Plug 'n Play BABY!
Great fit on my 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid.
Purchased with the 2" Curt Hitch - Fantastic!
Phenomenally simple and easy to install on my 2024 Hyundai Tucson SEL. The entire installation took exactly 6 minutes and 32 seconds. Yes, I timed it. The kit comes with everything you need for a quick installation. The unit worked perfectly when tested on my trailer. I’ve always trusted Curt items and this is no exception.
Arrived pretty quickly and installation was easy. It was helpful to have a second set of hands, but hitch was easy enough that it could have been installed solo.
I talked to an agent and he helped me get the exact wiring harness for our car. The video explained exactly how to install it. It was actually fun!
I had purchased a wiring kit off EBay only to find out it was not working properly. I was worried there was something wrong with our car. I purchased a kit from Etrailer and it works perfectly. It pays to buy products from reputable retailers.
Hyuandi tucson pre wires a plug for trailer wiring. So the kit from Etrailer took like 10 minutes. Easiest thing for me all day

Matt, that sounds super annoying and I know that would drive me crazy. I contacted Curt to see if the wiring harness is supposed to stop that reverse sensor from activating. I am leaning towards that the trailer would need to be plugged into the wiring for that to happen. Since you are just carrying a bike rack, the wiring is not being used. Correct? I read on a forum that there is a way to permanently disable that feature on your Santa Fe. I know that is not ideal so let me find out what Curt has to say first and go from there.
