This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the rear bumper, on the driver's and passenger's sides.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Hopkins Plug-in Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-pole flat trailer connector. This product fits a 1992-1996 Ford Bronco. It's going to provide a 4-way flat connector at the back of the vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights. This is compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole, and 7-pole adapters. Adapters are sold separately, and it's going to come with a dust cap for the 4-way flat connector, that way you can cover up the connection points when the plug is not being used. The unit is going to connect quickly and easily. You don't have to worry about cutting or splicing any wires, just locate the connection points at the rear of the vehicle.
One connector is going to go to the driver's side, the other one is going to go to the passenger's side of the vehicle. The unit does come with instructions to walk you through the installation process. This is custom fit for the vehicle, so the plugs are going to match up perfectly with the ports on the vehicle, and they're going to push together and snap lock together for a nice, tight, secure fit. Once you have those connected, all you need to do is secure any excess or slack in the wiring with the included cable ties. That's really all there is to it. Now once your install is complete, the 4-way connectors are going to be stowed beneath the vehicle near the trailer hitch.
We do recommend using a mounting bracket to keep the connectors secure and easily accessible. It's also recommended that you use a small amount of the included terminal grease on all your electrical connections, like the plugs on the vehicle and the 4-pole connector itself. That grease is going to help prevent corrosion to the connection points. T-connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting or splicing required.Bought a 4 plug hopkins plug for my 95 bronco so that I could have trailer lighting. Item was exactly what I needed and the price was competitive. Only complaint I have is that when my order shipped, I was notified via email, however, I wasn't able to track my order and received no notifications on my orders status until it was out for delivery. I dont think that the lack of status updates was the fault of Etrailer.com. I believe that was something to do with the post office. So I don't fault the company for that. Product showed up the day before I needed it. Installation was relatively simple and smooth only taking a few minutes to complete. Product works as it should. Local auto parts stores all told me I would have to wait 2-3 weeks or that the item I ordered was unavailable. I would definitely consider ordering any trailer items I may need in the future from Etrailer.com. excellent product and fair pricing.
I thought I was done with this, but since I was ask for a review, here it is: I thought I ordered a plug in wiring harness for a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria. I got a wiring harness for a Ford Bronco. They tell me I got what I ordered. Due to healthcare problems I didn't try to use it right away. By the time I found out it wouldn't work, it was too late and I couldn't return it. If you have a problem with your order, call immediately. I now have a part that is of no use to me.
Plug and go! Doesn't get easier than that! Fits right into the factory harness. What I like best about about it, the ground plugs right in also. You don't have to worry about running a ground to the frame. Plug and done!! Very satisfied with this product!!!
Just what I needed to get trailer lights back for my Bronco. Highly recommend instead of hacking up the wiring. Excellent made as well.
