Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's factory tow package, which is located in your cargo area, on the driver's side. You will have to remove the scuff panel and the cargo holder to access this port. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, insert the included 10-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed in an out-of-the-way location within your trunk.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plug on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A tail light converter is built into this T-connector. This converter is a circuit-protected, battery-powered unit that bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness. As a result, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.
Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of the trailer. This converter combines the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
Curt builds each tail light converter using surface-mount technology (SMT). This method of construction involves soldering electronic components directly to the surface of a printed circuit board. SMT eliminates the need for leads, which are used in older through-hole technology. The result is a circuit board that is smaller yet provides more routing area and that offers superior performance, reliability and durability.
Circuit boards constructed using SMT have been shown to perform better under rough conditions with excessive vibration than those made using the through-hole method. And where would vibration be more likely to occur than in towing applications? Curt converters also produce less heat, leading to increased durability and longer life. In addition, lower levels of resistance ensure better performance, especially for parts that operate at higher frequencies.

Product fit perfect on our 2025 Honda Pilot EX-L. Had gotten a different one off of (another site) that they told me would fit but it didn’t and I had to send back. Simple plug and play. Excellent product
Most everything went great - the videos made the installation a breeze.
Only hiccup was the 30A mini box fuse; it did not fit my 2024 Honda Pilot Sport (too big). Found a proper size unit at my local (auto) store.
Very impressed with how sturdy the pitch piece or whatever the piece that goes underneath the car and also was so impressed on that the car comes with it almost ready to go. You just have to bolt it on. I can’t wait to get it installed and use it.
Item was delivered and easy installation instructions were complete and thorough.
This item was exactly what I needed. It fit my vehicle, installed exactly as the etrailer video instructed, and worked out of the box.
The only suggestion I have would be to offer a shipping option somewhere between "tomorrow" and "whenever the post office gets around to it."

Easy hookup. Fit my 2025 Honda Pilot EXL Perfectly.
I've put hitches and wired 2 other vehicles . This by far was the easiest and best fitting installation I've ever done. I'm very pleased with both the product and service. The Videos were very helpful ..

One of the fuses was the wrong size (the 30 amp), and the instructions for the fuse connection could have been better.
I found a (video) that helped.
Your product is great! I was able to wire it in quickly and flawlessly… BUT… There is a problem with the Honda Corporation as they do not provide the fuses necessary to drive the system. So, I’m off to the parts store this morning to complete the job. You would think that a car company that installs a factory hitch on a $50,000+ vehicle could part with less than $10 worth of fuses! The local Honda dealership and I will have a poignant conversation about this when I stop in there in the near future. Thank you for great instructions on this simple install!!

Easy fit to factory plug under left rear cubby. Plus a 10 mm bolt in easy reach for the ground. Quick ship and great communications made trailer my go to place. Incidentally, the fuses needed to power up the trailer harness are one 30 amp m split case and two sub mini 20 amp fuses for trailer charge and trailer brake.
good communication during the shipping process and I appreciate "how to" videos that are available online to show you how to install any of their components.
I would give it 10 stars I got my order super fast and the ups handler guess did a horrible job at keeping the box together or maybe the loaders but a cable fell out of the box and they sent me a replacement right away I sent them over the proof that box was damaged from ups they went above and beyond thank u guys

2023 Honda Pilot EX-L Curt custom 4 way flat wiring connector etrailer # C48ZV. Step No.5 in the Curt instructions needs to be ignored, there is no need for a new power wire to the vehicle battery.The curt converter box gets power from the vehicle wiring. When connecting the white curt connector to the vehicle connector the release clip on the curt connector goes on the right side. Had to use a borescope to figure this out. One 30 amp fuse needs to be added in main fuse box position 7 and one 20 amp fuse needs to be added in main fuse box position 12. The Curt instructions do not include this. Used a 3/16 machine screw and locknut to secure ground wire to existing hole in steel support after removing trim panel in front of storage area.
Just like Richard said in his review you must install the two fuses in the main fuse panel for this harness to work.
