Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your Honda Passport with this custom wiring harness. T-One connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting, splicing or tapping required.

Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in your rear cargo area, on the driver's-side. You will need to remove all floor coverings and cargo trays to access this harness. Once you've plugged in the connector, insert the provided fuse into the in-line fuse holder.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in your rear cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plug on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.

Ryan: Hey, everybody. My name's Ryan, and here at etrailer, we install, test fit and review a lot of different parts. That way, we can try to answer any questions those of you might have. That's exactly what we're doing today on our 2020 Honda Passport. We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha vehicle wiring harness. With these Passports being really versatile SUV's, people use them to do a little bit of everything which does include towing.
That's where the wiring is going to come into play. You'll be able to hook up to your trailer and get those necessary lighting functions, not only to remain safe, but legal as well. You can also use the wiring for light up accessories. Some of you may use some cargo carriers or a step back here that has a light on it, and the wiring will power that as well. What's pretty cool about this kit is you can actually keep it inside of your Passport, out of sight and out of the weather when you're not using it. But whenever you are ready to use it, it's going to be really easy.
Let's open up our hatch. Come here to our floor cover, lift it up. The wiring can be stored in the compartment where you're not going to have to worry about anything happening to it. Whenever you are ready to use it, what you're going to do is just drape it over your threshold here. This is perfectly acceptable as long as you stay away from the latch.
But with that being said, you'll drape it over, close your hatch. You're not going to have to worry about the hatch pinching it or damaging it, or anything like that. It's set up to do that. And then we're going to have plenty of length here to hook up to our trailer or our light up accessory. Now, if you're somebody that uses your wiring a lot, or just prefer it to be mounted outside next to your hitch, you can do that as well. There's actually a grommet over here on the driver's side.
It's really easy to get to. You can push your connector through it and then get a bracket or something like that to permanently secure it out here. It's nice, you have a couple of different options on what you can do. That being said, I have a really nice dust cap, nice and thick. It's permanently attached to the connector itself so you don't have to worry about losing it.Not only is it going to protect those terminals from any corrosion. Well, let's say if you drop your trailer and plan on coming back in a couple hours, pick it up, you can also kind of loosely secure it around your safety chain openings there. That way, you don't have to put it back and everything else. Now, I do suggest, especially for those of you that are going to mount it outside to every now and again, just apply some dielectric grease to those terminals. That's going to help keep it protected and ensure that this is going to last and work for a very long time. One thing I really do like about this kit as well is the fact that it uses a module box. That module box is going to protect your Passport's factory wiring if it's short or an electrical issue we're to occur on the trailer side. To me, it'd give me a little peace of mind knowing my Honda's protected, and we're not going to have to worry about jeopardizing its complicated electronic systems. What I also really like too is the fact that this more or less, this plugs right into a factory connector. Honda did half the work for us. Tekonsha capitalized on that and figured we can plug it right in and give us trailer wiring. So it's nice and easy to get installed, and at the end of the day, a wiring kit, you really can't go wrong with. These Tekonsha's are very well-made, and the construction quality is of highest regard. With that being said though, why don't we go ahead and get inside our Passport and get this installed together. To begin our installation, we're going to be here at the back of our Passport, and we're going to be working inside so we'll open up our hatch. Once that's opened up, we need to remove our floor covering. Pull up on it and kind of work it out if it don't want to come out. Not a huge deal. You can always just kind of fold it up like that. That'll work out fine as well. Now, what we're going to do is remove this cargo compartment. At the very ends here, there's going to be some quarter turns, just one on each side. You just put that into the unlocked position. We can grab it.Lift up on it and set it to the side for now. Now, we can remove our threshold. First thing we're going to do, there's this little panel here that is around our latch, we're going to remove that. We'll take a small flathead screwdriver, just kind of pop that out. To get the threshold off, I'm just going to kind of pull up and along the way. That's just going to release some of the clips that's holding it in place. There you can see what some of those clips look like. Get this off. We'll set it off to the side. Now, right here in the corner on the driver's side, we're going to have a cargo hook. If you lift up on that, there's a little plastic cover beneath it. You can get a small pick or a screwdriver and pop that open. Underneath there, you'll see a Phillips head screw. We're going to pull that out.You can lift up on this and set it to the side. Moving up here, we'll have another cargo type hook. This is actually a cover. We'll take our pick and pop that cover off. Behind it, we're going to have a 8mm bolt that we need to pull out as well. Now, what we can do, this panel here, we can pull it away from the vehicle, and our factory tow package plug should be located somewhere behind it. If you start up here at the top, grab the corner of it. Going to just carefully work it out, releasing the clips. We're able to pull it out. Now, it seems like this wire here for our button that controls our seats to fold them down has some tension on it, so I'm going to release it. At the top, there's a small button you can push, and that will disconnect it. If we push our panel out, we're actually able to locate our connector plug, which is this one right here. Now, what we can do is grab our new wiring harness. One end of it is going to have a plug that'll match up with our factory connector. We'll simply just plug these two together. Now, we can grab our white wire with the pre-attached ring terminal, and we're going to need to ground that to the body of our vehicle. Well, it turns out we actually have a factory ground right there, and we're going to utilize that as opposed to having to drill a new hole into the body of our Passport. I'll take a 10mm socket and pull that bolt out. We can then take our ring terminal and that bolt, pass the bolt through the ring terminal, back through our factory grounds. And then just tighten it back down. Now, we moved into the engine compartments. We popped the hood. Right here on the driver's side, we're going to have a fuse box. We're going to remove the cover by squeezing these three tabs and lifting it off. We're going to take the included fuse and put that into this empty slot right there. Grab it, push it into place.Like so. Then we can just pop our cover back on. Now, before we put everything back together, it's a good idea to test our wiring to make sure that it's functioning properly. I'm using this little tester that you can pick right up here at etrailer. We'll go ahead and run through our signals. We'll try our left turn, our right turn, our brakes and our taillights. I went ahead and secured our wiring using some zip ties along this factory harness here. This is how it turned out. I will say, if you want to leave your four way connector stored inside of your Passport, just going to want to take the wire and kind of run it underneath of your panel like that. Now, we can go ahead and put everything back together. The side panel here, you'll kind of just line back up. That just snaps back into place. What you're going to want to make sure of when you push this down is you want the weather stripping to sit on the outside of the panel. You don't want it to get pinched in there. What I like to do is just kind of work my way down and secure the panel as I go. Whenever you go to put your cargo container back in, if you want to kind of hold up your 4 pole wiring, set that in place and just kind of run it up through here, through this little crack. That way, you can bundle this up and keep it stored inside of here whenever you're not using it. That'll finish up our look at and our installation of the Tekonsha vehicle wiring harness on our 2020 Honda Passport.

Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your Honda Passport with this custom wiring harness. T-One connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting, splicing or tapping required.I am very happy with my purchase from etrailer.com. I purchased a trailer wire harness for my 2023 Honda Passport at 1/3 the cost of the same product from the Honda dealer! It was a breeze to install with the online video that etrailer provided. Great quality workmanship and a more than fair price. I was towing my boat down the road an hour after receiving my UPS delivered harness installed and 2 days earlier than promised. I would give them 10 stars if I could.
Very nice, high quality wiring harness. Simple install, especially with the etrailer install video on youtube. Everything you need. Plenty of wire ties for a clean install both behind the trim and under the car running the harness outside. There's even a piece of 2 sided tape to mount the little control module box on the wheel well so it's not flopping around.
I was considering going with the factory Honda hitch and harness, but their harness is 7 pin and I only need 4. Not to mention it's way more expensive. The Draw-tite hitch has a built in bracket to attach a 4 pin harness bracket giving a clean factory type look.
When removing trim, beware the screw that holds the tie down anchor on the driver's side. I managed to strip mine and needed an EZ out to get it loose. No fault of the product, of course, but just be aware!
Everything was in stock and arrived super quickly.
The entire transaction from my ordering phone consult with Alex J. to the landing of the hitch/accessories at my doorstep exceeded expectations. The hitch install and wiring of harness was quite easy after viewing their install videos. Alex also gave me great advice to affect a direct connect of the wire harness to the bracket on my Drawtite hitch. Install video only showed an interior storage option for my Honda Passport. Highly recommend etrailer and the people that made my buying decision very easy.
Stacey A was a pleasure to work with... I was promised delivery by this Friday and I received it yesterday(Wednesday)... order was delivered as ordered and product is already on our vehicle. Thank you Stacey A for wonderful experience!
My tow hitch is everything I’d hope it would be. I saved money installing it myself. It bolted on to my 2020 Passport perfectly and looks very good. I haven’t had a lot of weight towed yet but it has been perfect for my scooter carrier to hold my Honda 150 adv. I highly recommend etrailer for your hitch. You’ll be glad you did
Installation video was spot on and made the install process easy and fast.
This harness was just as described. Easy to install and well constructed.
good product and quick delivery
We love the new hitch for our 2021 Honda Passport. It looks like a factory supplied hitch and was easy to install. The wiring harness worked perfect and was also easy to install following the supplied instructions.
This will be my second T-1 wiring harness install on a Honda vehicle, it is very easy with no cutting splicing and mistakes in wiring since it has a direct plug in. For me the other attractive feature is that it can be stored inside when not in use which suits my needs well.

All remains well with no change in performance over the first year. I remain satisfied with this choice and with etrailer.
This review is for the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector.
In short, all's well that ends well.
The hitch and the T-One wiring harness kit for my 2020 Honda Passport Touring arrived promptly, were very well-packaged and were in perfect condition.
I am 77 and the hitch is big and heavy so I had a local camper and truck supply company install the hitch for $50 and they did a very nice job.
I am a retired engineer and have installed many hitches and trailer light kits during my lifetime so I figured I could do the wiring. The T-One connector specifically for the 2020 Honda Passport came with instructions. Unfortunately, they didn’t match my 2020 Passport AT ALL, not even close. I think they may have been for a Honda Pilot though it clearly indicated it was for a 2020 Passport. There was no way I could figure out how to get to the wiring block inside the left side of the Honda using these instructions. So, I went online and got the instruction for installing an OEM Honda Hitch from College Hills Honda and I used those instruction to take apart the rear paneling to get to the wiring block. I plugged the T-One kit into the block and set about testing the wiring. Using the position for the fuse provided in the T-One instructions, there was no power at the trailer end. In checking the Honda Passport manual, I found that the position of the trailer fuse had changed from the T-One instructions. Once that change was made, the T-One adapter worked as expected. After reinstalling all of the paneling I have working trailer turn signal and brake lights.
The T-One instructions for the 2020 Honda Passport really need to be changed to reflect the actual interior disassembly of a 2020 Honda Passport and the actual position of the 20-amp fuse in the fuse block under the hood.
But, once connected, the T-One wiring harness worked perfectly.
My original contact with Anna E was very helpful and beneficial. Ordered the correct parts ( Draw-Tite bumper hitch and T one wiring harness). Slight delay in receiving the products because of back order BUT Anna kept me informed as to the new arrival date. The products came yesterday. I looked at the installation video by Brad about the wiring harness. My vehicle is a Honda Passport. He mentioned that instead of removing the side panel that I could install the harness by lifting up the side bucket. Well I tried to loosen the Phillips screw and the screw was so tight that I could not loosen it. Thank to Brad I used his short cut and all went well. If he had not shared this short cut it would have been a really big mess. The products are good and the people are super to work with. A very pleasant experience. Thanks to all. Sorry I can' share photos. I am of a lot of years and a dumb (flip) phone is good for me. The Draw-Tite bumper hitch was easy to install.
I purchased this wiring harness (to go with a Draw-Tite (76290) hitch) for my 2019 Honda Passport Elite, which has the hands free liftgate. Installation was very easy. Infact, for my Passort I didn't even need to take the side panel out, like the instructions tell you. Once you pull out the storage bin (by the spare tire) and pop the driver side storage bin out, you can just reach your hand up and under (towards the front of the truck) and the factory harness is right there. There's also a grommet in that area that you can pop out and run your wiring out and under the vehicle if you'd like. I just cut a slit halfway through the grommet, ran the wire through it and reinstalled the grommet.
The wiring harness comes with double sided tape to secure the converter as well as a self taping screw (for the ground wire) and some zip ties. I was lucky enough to find a screw nearby to mount the converter to and a ground close enough for the ground wire to reach.
On a side note, after I installed my hitch I tested the hands-free feature and it worked. But after I installed the wiring harness, it stopped working. After some trouble shooting I realized that when I bundled the slack in the wire (for the 4-pin connector) and zip tied it to the top of the hitch, it was causing interference. Once I relocated the slack closer to the number, no more interference!
All in all, a great way to have to have near factory wiring, quick and easy.
This is a well built and good looking hitch. Most of it is hidden very well so it doesn't detract from the original look of the vehicle. The only problem seems to be that with this hitch installed, the foot-operated back door on my Honda Passport doesn't work very well. It will only operate when I place my foot under the bumper in one very particular location (which usually takes a few tries), which causes me a lot of frustration when I really need it.
The wiring was well made and fit perfectly. It worked great until it didn't. This was likely caused by bad wiring on the trailer but the wiring harness states right on it that it's for a 15 amp circuit only when the Honda Passport it's sold for has it on a 20 amp circuit.
This hitch receiver was extremely high quality and easy to install as advertised. The wiring kit was also easy enough to plug in to my existing wiring harness. This is my second hitch receiver purchased from etrailer and I'm very satisfied!
My order for a Curt Class 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver and T-one Vehicle Wiring Harness came a day earlier than the actual delivery date. So far I installed the Trailer Hitch ( which took me approx 40 mins ) and I will be installing the in the next couple of days. The Hitch is a high quality hitch and well made. It was very easy to install and I'm looking forward to install the wiring because the hitch was so easy.
Bought the wiring harness and it arrived in 3 days.
Good quality harness that plugged directly into my factory harness.
Instructions for my 2019 Honda Passport were lacking. It said to remove entire left quarter trim along with the much easier to remove trays. I removed the trays but couldn’t even start to locate all the clips on the trim and gave up. Instructions did not say where the clips were.
Went [online] and found a video explaining how to install the harness WITHOUT removing all the trim pieces. MUCH EASIER and FASTER.

Very Nice Quality. I installed it myself. Fit perfectly.
Initially wrong trailer harness was shipped due to a manufacturer packaging error. After contacting customer service, the proper harness was shipped immediately. I have previously bought from trailer and will continue to due so. Great products and customer service!
Hitch was delivered. Installed it and looks great. Just waiting on the wiring harness now to finish the job.
The harness had a good price and the instruction videos showed exactly how to install it. I have used it several times and I’m very happy with it.
Product is excellent quality and ease of installation seems simple (although I will install it tomorrow). Great customer service as with all my previous orders especially the installation videos and various recommendations from their "experts". I wouldn't buy any products they sell from any other vendor.
I purchased a trailer hitch and wiring. While not installed both products check out and should fit perfectly. The quality is top notch. They arrived in less than two days from the central part of the country to New York State, remarkable. The tipping point for my purchase from etrailer.com was their extensive feed back and interaction with customers; True support before the sale and I can attest to True Support during the sale. They restore your faith in retail. This is the way it should be. THNX!
